Beautiful soft sand. Mellow waves. Pretty good snorkeling. Saw some whales. Beach was clean and had a great vibe.

Wow, just WOW. A quiet low key beach with amazing soft red sand. Very few rocks and let me tell you some of the best snorkeling I have ever done!!! Tons of fish, all different sizes. And best part is the Turtles. So many turtles. No experience or guide or money, and I was swimming in beautiful coral and fish and turtles EVERYWHERE!!! Almost empty beach with a decent parking lot. Easy access

Nice beach, but bring sturdy footwear as thorns can be up to an inch long. The portapotties are serviceable, but using a restroom ahead of time is probably for the best. Overall great beach for families with younger children, there is lots of space to play and build sandcastles and the beach isn't usually crowded.

Great place to catch a sunset in Maui with some dining options around the nearby area as soon as the sun sets. Popular for sunset weddings.

Great beach for surfers but rough waves. Not recommended for swimming. Beautiful place to see the sunset! Very romantic!

Beech was so amazing.. seen a couple of sea turtles swimming by us... That was really nice to see.... Beach was not crowded at all ... Many trees to get some shade of you don't like being in the sun or just simply forgot your umbrella plenty of shade.... Water was really warm.... Didn't have to struggle like in Los Angeles were water is freezing.... Beautiful beach must see if in Maui....

Great family beach with gentle waves.

This is my favorite beach near Kihei. Parking is free, a porta potty does it's job, and the snorkeling on either point is pretty cool. We saw turtles on the south end. You just have to be careful of the lava rocks and hitting the coral (we were safe on both accounts), and you will be treated with great sights. Boogie boarding is also fun. It's also very little used, so hardly ever a crowd. What's not to love?

Lovely sand and quiet and peaceful. Long beach with options to walk to one end Makena Surf Hotel to other beach. Water nice but not great snorkelling with rough water. Great body surfing beach and lots of free parking but no showers.

This is one of my favorite spots in Maui, it’s not always quiet as sometimes people gather to celebrate someone’s birthday, like it happened during my last visit, there was a dj, bbq and tents with locals celebrating, we were invited to join it was very nice . My favorite spot is the little cove at the end of the beach, the sunsets and views are breathtaking. The beach at the end is also used by people who likes to enjoy being nude. It’s a great spot for mature people who respect and enjoy this type of settings. It is also the perfect spot for a romantic evening and the best beach for an elopement or intimate wedding!

Great beach. Not too crowded and pretty shallow water. There are waves for boogie boarding and rocks for snorkeling. The only downside is that there isn't a shower to wash off the sand.

What a treasure! Once you park find the trail on the right, keep following it. It will lead to a beautiful (almost) private beach. Clear water, great waves and turtles!

Great back to come and see the sea turtles! I must have seen about 3 or 4 different ones and all in the shallow water area. Be kind and courteous and pick up your trash. Also if you don't know don't touch the sea turtles or coral. Enjoy the views and nice easy tides. Perfect to build and castles and not over crowded either. Not many business to get to in the area but great if you pack for a picnic

Amazingly beautiful beach! Publicly accessible from small parking lots along the main road. The sand in particular feels soft, and the color is contrasted with the dark lava rock. With great views of nearby islands, this is a killer spot for pics at sunset. There were three family photo shoots and two weddings just during the hour-plus visit.

Nice area for big groups if you get there early. Good spot to swim and snorkel. Latrines for bathrooma, no showers.

A great beach to visit before 9 am before it gets too busy.
