Kihei Public Library

Wonderful library with not only books but a great selection of daily newspapers, a variety of periodicals and a wonderful Hawaiian reference section. They have events for children and it’s a very clean and beautiful facility.

During the pandemic this place is really leading the way with responsible service. The employees all wear gloves, eye covering, and masks that cover both their mouths and their noses. They are great at decreasing the number of things people touch. They use the drive-thru as a walk up. They disinfect it after each patron goes through. They keep the books in quarantine for 4 days before putting them back on the shelves. And they are kind and courteous. It's the safest place I could imagine being while being in public.

We were on island for about a month and used the library for our "school" most weekdays. The staff was super helpful, including us in activities and recognizing us whenever we walked in. We'll be back!

We were in the neighborhood, so we stopped in to use their internet service. It was quick and easy to sign on to the internet with my Hawaii Library Card number and we finished out task quickly. The library was quiet and spacious and had ample parking.

A great little library, it's Aircon water fountain bathrooms, comfy chairs internet stations and you can order books from other libraries on Maui through this library! The staff is also very wonderful and they hold community events here also.

Everyone is so nice and friendly. Very knowledgeable. They are wonderful about renewing and holding books for you. I truly appreciate all that they do. Huge Mahalos from a James Patterson fan😊💖👍

Hands down the best library on Maui. Friendly, helpful staff, lots of computers, work areas, comfy chairs, etc, etc. I live in Kahului and come over here when I need to use the library.

Outstanding selection of books. Quiet kind atmosphere with shelves filled with secret Hawaiiana to better understand the local culture of the islands.

This is a great place with friendly, helpful staff! They have computers available, printers and kids activities!
