Dr. Stone has impeccable "Dental chair" manners. He is patient and kind as well as very reassuring. He understood my discomfort pending the dental surgery. He calmly explained every step as he proceeded with the procedure. He answered my questions and addressed my concerns satisfactorily.

Post pricedure, he gave me detailed parting instructions to follow, which have helped speed up my recovery.

His demeanor is worthy
of emulation and I would highly recommend him to other patients. He has proven to be an asset to this dental clinic and commend him for his professionalism and sterling qualities.

Dr Thomas is the best dentist ever. He has been nothing but kind and explains everything he’s doing, which really helps me relax. I’ve needed a lot of dental work in the past few months and through it all he has made it possible for me to overcome my big fear of dentists. I recommend him most highly.

I've been coming here for a while now, and I've always had great experiences. Recently, I had more than a typical cleaning done, and was really impressed by how understanding the dentist was to my needs and answering all of my questions. I'm really appreciative of having found such a great team of people, from the friendly front desk staff to the attentive assistants during procedures, in helping me take care of my dental health. I would highly recommend this office!

Christy is the best dental hygienist. She answers all of my questions, gives great advice and is very gentle yet thorough. I am also very impressed with Dr Mello who not only does excellent work, but is a kind, compassionate and genuine.

The Hawaii Family Dental receptionist was friendly and professional and the wait for my appointment was reasonable at less than 10 minutes. My dental hygienist, Krystal was great as usual with the procedures and teeth cleaning (gentle but thorough). Dr. Melo was likewise terrific in her exam and assessment of my dental status and needs. Excellent team of friendly professionals, I highly recommend Hawaii Family Dental.

Friendly staff, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the process, they've greeted me once I stepped in and thanked me when I step out. Highly recommend this dental place! Children friendly too!

I love this office - Rocky gives such a warm welcome when you walk in and is so incredibly efficient! Kailey is the BEST hygienist and Dr. Thomas is always upbeat and positive. Going to the dentist can suck but they make it as wonderful as possible

Aloha, I’m new to Kihei was looking for a new dentist. I came across Hawaii family dental. My first experience there was pure aloha. Bobby put a smile on my face from ear to ear! She was the one that made me feel like ohana. Then I got to meet the rest of family dental. Bobby brightens my day like Hawaii family dental brightens my teeth!

Dr. Jeffery Thomas is the best dentist I've ever had in my entire life. I've been all over the world, seen many dentists, and there is no one to compare with his compassion, kindness, and gentleness. I've never met a dentist that has both technical expertise and chair side manner. He listens humbly. Sounds simple, but so many dentists are arrogant or have raging egos or do not have technical abilities (and try to hide this fact with what I call "acting"). Simply the best! I highly recommend him!

LONG OVERDUE!

I’ve been meaning to leave a review and as a single working mom of 6, I just forget things unless it’s in front of my face, to do with my babies or work!

My very first day was such a pleasantly surprising one. Such awesome staff that welcomes you. Dr. Melo was so gentle and amazing and her assistant Hailey was very kind and sweet. I’ve never had a dentist in years that didn’t laugh after my X-rays out examination and made a joke. She was just amazing.

On my way out, Bobbi took care of my discharge. Again, such amazing staff…. PEOPLE. She actually confirmed some things with Dr. And my actual costs came down. Most people are “burn and turn”, but she actually took her time to look into things that worked out in my favor.

I’m here at my 3rd appointment and I am so happy I found a judgment free place and such caring staff!

I only have wonderful things to say about the Hawaii Family Dental location in Kihei. From the moment I walk in, I’m always acknowledged with a friendly and professional greeting from the front desk staff. The same goes for my hygienist, Christy Murashige. I see her every 3 to 4 months for maintenance and she always makes me feel relaxed and comfortable. She does a great job taking care of me. My dentist is Dr. Thomas and when needed, he’s nothing but amazing. He not only has a gentle touch, but also a calm manner that immediately puts me at ease. I drive from Pukalani because of this amazing dentist and staff.

Christina does a very good and thorough job as the hygienist. The office is friendly and efficient. Also, extremely nice that I can walk to the office 🤩

This last visit was very good. The dentist even checked in and inspected which was a nice touch. Actually something I had been accustomed to from my previous dentist’s. Hope they keep up with that policy!!!

I am a retired hygienist who has been a patient at Hawaii Family Dental for 4 years. I have had many dental cleanings and I know how to judge a thorough cleaning. Kailey is the best hygienist I have ever had. She very gentle and also very thorough. She is pleasant and friendly and I am usually seated on time.
Dr. Mello is also pleasant and friendly but I can not speak to the quality of her dentistry as I have not needed anything more than an exam.

This office is amazing. The staff at Hawaii Family Dental Kihei is wonderful. Everyone is so kind and helpful. My 7 year old son had to get some work done, and usually gets nervous with just cleanings. The staff made him feel extremely comfortable and kept the environment calm. Thank you for making our experience so pleasant from check in to check out. We appreciate you all!

I was seen for a problem with one of my teeth. I was seen in a timely manner and checked by 2 dentists and given a referral to a dentist that was more specialized to handle the problem. I come to this practice for my routine cleanings and check ups and have always been happy with the care given.

I love this dental office! The front office staff is always very friendly and helpful and my dentist is very caring and attentive. My dental hygienist (Christy) is awesome and encourages me in my brushing and flossing habits. I've never enjoyed going to the dentist more!
