First time experiencing a kava bar and met the couple who owns this place. Had a fantastic evening and enjoyed everything about the location, the service, the music and the communal experience of a kava bar. One of my new favorite places in all of Maui.

Haleakava is the perfect place for experienced and new comers to kava. Haleakala offers a warm and cozy atmosphere, friendly people and tasty kava cocktails. You can order a half shell or full shell of kava as well as some tea/juice mixed kava drinks, with fun things like kava gummies this place has something for everyone.

Awesome kava and kratom bar. No alcohol. Great staff and easy to find on lower Kihei Rd. I have the Tongan kava and red kratom tea, for pain and anxiety, and I don't have to take prescriptions because of it!

One of my favorite spots to chill and listen to some great local musicians. Kava is some of the best I’ve tried and I’ve had a few. You will enjoy a real Polynesian experience.

My husband really wanted some kava, and it tasted just like expected (Earth). He loved it.

A must visit if you are ever in Maui! Friendliest people and great quality drinks, the live music is phenomenal as well. Would love to visit again ❤

There Kava they serve is from all over the south pacific islands the staff is super knowledgeable with all the Kava they . As well as super friendly very inviting hospitality family friendly as well . I highly recommend you check these guys out .

I've gone to both, the Kihei and Lahaina locations. My fave is the Arnold Kalmer, with red Kratum in Mason Jars, if I'm spelling it correctly. It's delicious and helps my body to relax! Server's were so patient and helpful for me to find what I needed. I go often to fill my jars, if I remember to keep them in my car! Try it out! Local vibe, local music, sometimes luau gang will perform hula! It's a must experience kinda place! Aloha! 🤙🏻🌺🌴 The fish plate is from South Maui Fish Company, the food truck in the same marketplace! 2 birds, 1 stone! Lol

Haleakava has the best vibe, great people, super friendly owner and staff along with killer drinks. The Kava and Kratom tea are great! Right on Front street with easy access. The design and decor is gorgeous and fun! The patrons are the coolest. The evenings has live music. Go for the drinks and stay for the experience!!!!!!

We found this place accidentally. Highly recommend!!! We came back several times during our stay here in Maui. Live island music several nights a week. Great staff and Owners. They made us feel very welcome and it was a great atmosphere.

My favorite spot on the entire island. We are here at least three times a week and love the atmosphere, the kind staff, the good vibes, and of course the kava. Can’t recommend enough!

So I am reviewing the Lahaina location which is their second bar. The bartender, Wade, was completely awesome. Fiji was STRONG -- I needed a good nervous system chill-out and this did the trick. One sip and I knew it was going to be fantastic. Highly recommend stopping in. Enjoy!🤙

Every time im in Kihei, Haleakava is a must stop. It is a exceptionally relaxed and family oriented environment surrounding the traditional Polynesian drink, Kava. The owners and staff are very welcoming and generous sharing their culture with the rest of us. Also they have events so there’s always good music going

I'm here atleast a few times a week, love it! Great people, great kava and kratum drinks. But mainly the owners and staff are so welcoming and friendly and treat you as ohana! Love you guys, keep up the great work! And they just opened a second location in Lahaina on Prison st., be sure to check them both out! It's an experience! And a must visit if on Maui!

An awesome place to enjoy some plant derived elixir.
Very welcoming, relaxed and family friendly vibe. definitely a highlight of my time spent exploring what Maui has to offer. Highly recommend, the service was phenomenal!

My wife and I enjoyed this kava bar almost on an every evening basis!
Kava is an acquired taste, however; the concoctions of blended
Island flavors offered make it enjoyable for almost anyone. We both like the initial tingle on our lips and gums followed by a sense of relaxation starting at our shoulders and sliding on down. The affable staff, Island music and comfortable, casual surroundings add to the altogether pleasant vibe.
