Ho'olei at Grand Wailea

What can I say? The Ho’olei was awesome, enjoyed our 3BR 3.5 BA villa with great views and spacious interior. Depending I. The number of guests, you might want to ask for bedrooms with 2 queens vice king.

Concierge was exceptional as was the courtesy shuttle and the app they used. Grand Wailea is a 5 star experience.

There literally aren’t enough stars for me to give. The Villas at Grand Wailea are exquisite under any circumstances, but we arrived there direct from a Red Cross shelter with 7 people after evacuating our vacation rental home in the Lahaina fire earlier this week. We were there to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday. Likely due to lack of communication and cell service, and current guests not leaving due to the disaster, the Hilton app was reporting rooms - the only left on the island - when none were available. Several other families did the same and showed up on the door of the remarkable staff at Grand Wailea. We were immediately offered toiletries and an opportunity to shower. And the manager of the Ho’olei Villas worked the phones until she found rooms for all the families I saw waiting there. I am sure the staff were coping with their own trauma and loss, and somehow they still managed to offer 5 -star service in the middle of a natural disaster. My prayers go out to the people of Maui, but Hilton and the Grand Wailea have earned a lifetime customer in me.

I loved it!!! The villas were very clean and the kitchens were fully stocked with dishes for days! Overall I loved the experience and would highly recommend these villas to anyone who wants a private space with great views and amazing amenities. Just note it is a little pricey……

This was our 3rd visit to Ho’olei at the Grand Wailea, we love it. We always make sure to book through Grand Wailea to ensure resort privileges. Our children are 11, 13 and 15 and they had a ball on the water slides. There are also many areas for smaller children. The apartment was enormous, luxurious and the best equipped rental we have ever stayed in. We were able to get provisions easily at the Wailea shops. The view is sensational with whales breaching 🐋 and the changing light on the volcano - so beautiful and peaceful. Bring binoculars! The resorts are spotlessly clean - the property is spacious so even though at times there are a lot of people staying, it never felt crowded. I ordered lunch to our pool chairs most days - great kids menu and fresh salads for me. Wifi was also excellent. I used the well equipped Ho’olei gym and was tempted by the outdoor cycle classes at the Grand Wailea. The resort is an easy drive to attractions and 30 minutes from the airport. There are lots of restaurants with eat in & take out options. We felt very Covid safe and were so grateful for the break. We will be back.

Luxurious spaces with all kinds of facilities one could imagine. They also provide surf boards and beach chairs kept at the garage. The kitchen is fully equipped, even with the utensils needed for toddler and kids and all sorts of baking etc things.
They gave us 3 keys of the main door but only 1 worked for us so please take care to check all the keys once you enter.
Located at just 10 min walk from Wailea beach.

I can say with confidence that this is the best resort I’ve ever stayed at in all of our travels.

The combination of the stunning beauty and the exceptional service of the staff really makes this entire property stand out from the rest.

If you’re looking for the best Hawaii vacation to enjoy stress-free with your family this is where you should go. I have outlined my highlights by category below.

The Condos
The condos by them self are beautiful and well decorated. We did the three bedroom option which had ocean views. Downside is that you’re not right on the ocean and you need to either walk or take transportation to get there. But the advantage of having your own space and your own kitchen with an amazing outdoor grill area is awesome.

The location of the condos ends up not being an issue because if you book through the villas themselves you have access to the staff that have private vans. With a simple text message they will come and pick you up, help you load your luggage, and get you down to the resort on the beach.

We needed some baby proofing for the stairs and I called to ask if they knew somewhere they would rent us the stuff and instead within a matter of minutes they came up and installed everything we needed.

The Staff
The staff here are truly exceptional. Everyone we dealt with was extremely helpful, kind, caring and just pleasant to be around. To top all of that off they were also super helpful. if we needed things carried they would do it for us. If we needed to get towels they would help us get them.

We had one issue where we ran out of paper towels and not only did they apologize they sent someone in minutes with multiple rolls to fix the issue.

The Resort
If you’re looking for privacy the resort has its own pool separate from the main hotel pool. If you’re looking for more action and more amenities and you can use the services at the grand Wailea. There they have a lazy river rope swing, waterslides, a water elevator, and pretty much everything you need. There’s also beach access.

Overall:
Overall everything is exceptional and we think it’s worth the premium price to come back here every year. After our first trip they have turned us into lifelong customers pier

Stayed here with my family and had an amazing experience! Each villa is complete with a full size kitchen, garage, multiple bedroom and bathrooms. Great views of the ocean, a private swimming pool, hot tub, and kids pool with sand. Staying here allowed us to spend more time together compared to each couple staying in a separate hotel room. This has become a yearly tradition and we will definitely be staying here again. Thanks Ho'olei!

Beautiful condos with Amazing views!! A first class environment without the feel of a busy crowded hotel. A beautiful pool area with a bar, two hot tubs and massage room. And should I mention the beautiful spacious room layouts of the condos. All in all a wonderful relaxing experience that I look forward too again!

The rooms were great. Although the Grand Wailea pools were located across a busy street, the pools were top notch if you have young children. Beach access was great with all Grand Wailea services. Walking across the street to get to the Grand Wailea was not ideal, but it was a small sacrifice to get your own private garage and full kitchen/BBQ to cook your own food. We will visit again.

Absolutely incredible place - perhaps the best ever. The staff is so kind and helpful (especially Rubi 😃), the landscaping is impeccably well-kept (beautiful flowers everywhere you look), and the condo - OMG, it really is as amazing as the pictures. Only downside is there is only one pool for kids and adults at the Ho’olei so that meant a few days of loud kiddos, but in general was peaceful.

And on top of all that, you have access to the Grand Wailea which has a few fun pools and amazing beach access. Perhaps my only complaint here is there wasn’t enough seats near the pool and they claim to monitor this but there were never open seats in the adult area after about 8:30-9am.

Do yourself a favor and stay here as long as you can afford!!

A slice of heaven on earth. Not sure what to say about Ho’olei. The service was exceptional and the amenities were top notch. It was the perfect pairing for our honeymoon stay. Our favorite part was having a grill and full kitchen in our villa. This made eating healthy easy and allowed us to stick to our diets. This place and trip will never be forgotten and look forward to coming back in the future.

Awesome place! The views are amazing and the concierge is very friendly. Pool is really nice as well and we like the distance from the beach to work off all the food we ate.

Very, very nice Villa, for three couples. Well appointed. Still, it is a 12 minute walk to beach across highway and Hotel Gran Wailea.
Shuttle service is quick and available from 8 am to 9 pm daily.

We couldn't have asked for a more BEAUTIFUL resort to spend our vacation! The service was incredible! The on-demand shuttle service was terrific. The grounds were quiet and absolutely gorgeous!

Great accommodations at the villas. Love having access to the Grand facilities, but not having to be in the middle of the resort is nice. The staff is nice and the daily POG refills are a highlight! Thanks Melissa!

The place is very private with an amazing view. We greatly enjoyed our stay. The villa was equipped with everything we needed to live very comfortably and cook as we wished. The proximity to Kihei is just a couple of minutes. Beach is a minute away. Makena park is literally just down the road. Maluaka beach is also just down the road. Grand Wailea resort is big and busy. Ho'olei is not busy. Traffic here is almost non-existent. If you are after dining and activities such as lazy River or luau, the resort is across the street.

I'm a private chefs and I love to cook at this beautiful resort ! This is an example of my most popular appetizer.. seared Ahi and bruschetta .

The service is incredible. The staff are always helpful and pleasant. They even unloaded our groceries from the car and put them in the fridge for us. It's all of the little things that they do that make your stay pleasant.

The rooms have a beautiful view. Impressively clean, and rooms spaced out in the house making it easy for multiple people. The staff takes care of all needs you could possibly have.

Amazing views here. This location offers a nice alternative to staying too close to the resort but offers shuttles to get you there. The living space is perfect.
