Locust Hill Cemetery Reviews

This is in response to an earlier review posted by Mackenzie. First of all, her review is nothing more than a pathetic attempt at writing a dishonest hit piece against the cemetery over a personal conflict her mother has had for some time with the caretakers. She mistakenly thought she could manipulate the cemetery management into taking punitive action against the caretakers and choosing her side in her petty personal dispute. The review posted by Mackenzie with her misleading portrayal of herself being a "family member" of someone buried in the cemetery as well as her lies about the "community" being upset when in reality it is only Mackenzie, her mother, and perhaps a few of their misinformed or miscreant associates who are upset.
Mackenzie's demands in her review on what steps the board of directors should take to please her mothers arrogant sense of entitlement are laughable especially considering the fact that neither Mackenzie or any other member of her family actually own any graves, nor do they have any family members buried in Locust Hill Cemetery.
Mackenzie's mother was once married to our son and so apparently expected us to still provide her with a free burial spot near our sons grave in the cemetery even after her mother has not visited our sons grave in years and in fact has long since moved on with a new partner shortly after his death. We personally own that particular spot as well as a few other graves in the cemetery. We refuse to give her the spot now knowing how miserable she had made our son before his sudden death. It should also be noted that Mackenzie was not a daughter of our son but was instead one of the children born to her unwed mother several years before our son made the tragic mistake of meeting her mother. So Mackenzie's misleading claims about being "the family" of a relative buried in the cemetery are simply another of her dishonest attempts to mislead the readers of her post.
Some of the things our son revealed to us in conversations we had with him shortly before his death, and many things we have since learned after his death lead us to believe that the toxic relationship between him and Mackenzie's mother ultimately led to his unexpected and tragic death at the young age of 34 . Mackenzie's mother has continued to disparage our son even after his death. We have been told that she has used social media to tell lies about our son and about our family in her sick and twisted attempt to hide the guilt of her own disgusting actions. Mackenzie's review of the cemetery is apparently just another of those pathetic attempts.
The records plainly show that we own the grave where our son was buried. Neither Mackenzie or her mother own any graves in the cemetery. It seems that she only recently came back around the cemetery now after all this time because she wanted to try and cause more trouble which she thrives on doing.
Locust Hill Cemetery has done nothing wrong by refusing to become involved in her personal vendetta.
As caretakers for over a decade we certainly would never "deface" any grave in the cemetery, and certainly not our sons grave. We have dedicated our lives to care for those sacred grounds. Not only are we the cemetery caretakers, but we as well as all members of the Board of Directors have several generations of family members buried there, as do many other fine folks of the community.
Rest assured there is no problem with Locust Hill Cemetery. The dedication and commitment of the Board of Directors and the caretakers to keep the cemetery a place of beauty and respect will never change . Please do not let negative reviews like those of Mackenzie and other nefarious individuals pushing a personal beef mislead you. The cemetery is and will continue to be a place of peace and beauty as it has been for well over 100 years.

Unbelievable that this cemetery allows it's caretakers to slander a poor widow. I only found a partner 3 years after their son's death. The burial plot was GIVEN to me by his parents and they continue to deface it. Spread lies that it's been years since I visited yet I leave things at his grave. I also do not want to be harrassed by them. I have had to block them. Their poor grandson has to go visit his father's tombstone with tape all over it. We will no longer visit. His spirit lives with us and he would be ASHAMED that his parents act this way. He hit my son in the face because HE DIDNT WANT HIS HAIR CUT! Taught him how to cuss and laughed then punished him for it and called him trash. I spent thousands on the burial from the small amt of life insurance that I did get from their son because he was an alcoholic and it was on his h&p, learned behaviors by his abusive FATHER. Unfortunately MY HUSBAND did not qualify for any more than that d/t that being a preexisting condition. When it comes down to it, this cemetery is trash. They allow their staff to do things like this and slander their customers. Defile a widows tombstone and allow his son with special needs to be put in the middle of it. Let's not mention they don't report what the caretakers make so they don't cut into their SSI. That's not slander it's the truth! Spill all my beans, but best bet I'll dump your whole barrel!
