Social House South U

Just had brunch at Social House this weekend and it was so good!! I had the waffle and my friend had the breakfast hash and we both loved them. Drink specials also seemed great, even though I didn't have the chance to try them yet. Great ambiance, and dressed up really nicely for the Holidays. I'm actually planning on going back this week for some avocado toast. Very excited to see what this restaurant does in the future! Highly recommend! It's a perfect place for students and the Ann Arbor community. Will be back soon!

This place has become one of my new regular spots in A2! The food is fantastic and keeps getting better as new menu items are introduced. Their half-off drafts at happy hour actually means some of the best beer deals in Ann Arbor (and they started doing that deal late night on weekdays too). Staff are friendly and responsive and the owner Chris really knows his stuff. Highly recommend to both students and long-time Ann Arbor residents.

WOW! My wife and I were recently traveling through Ann Arbor and decided to try something new! Social House on South U turned out to be a highlight on our trip! When we walked in, we felt like we were welcomed and wanted by the staff. The layout of the restaurant represents the name of the place. Good spacing between tables and a solid bar was great for conversation. While I only had room for 1 meal in my stomach, the breakfast hash was amazing! Even better than the southern hash we had in Wilmington, NC, the previous morning!

My wife and I will be heading back that was soon. Can't wait!

First time and most definitely will not be my last time here. I had the Belgian waffle - absolutely out of this world. If you love light and perfectly crispy waffles then this is the place to come. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is really relaxed and inviting. A truly one of a kind place that Ann Arbor has been missing.

I stopped for a coffee and breakfast on my way to class. Super convenient with the "walk-up" window and the staff was friendly and prepared my food quickly. I had a latte and ham and egg breakfast sandwich. The latte was super good. I consider myself to be a connoisseur of breakfast sandwiches, and this one was definitely up to my standards! I'm excited to have this new restaurant so close to my house for early morning meals!

I went to Social House for the first time last night, I had the muscles and fries for an appetizer which were absolutely amazing. I thought it doesnt get any better than this...then I ordered the "smash burger" which is one of the best burgers I've ever had.
Clean environment and attentive staff. This a great place to hang with friends and have some drinks. Dennis

I came to Social House with my dad for brunch and I had a wonderful experience. I had the avocado toast and my dad had the bagel and locks. They were both delicious and both plated beautifully. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I definitely plan on coming back soon.

Such a fun addition to Ann Arbor! My friends and I went on a Friday when they had a DJ and we were really impressed with the atmosphere. Definitely a lot more inviting than other bars in the area, and a lot cleaner too. Prime location and friendly staff! I'm excited to go in during the day to check out breakfast and lunch too

I came here for brunch and was extremely impressed. The food was amazing and cooked with the heart. It was so delicious and flavorful. The owner Chris came by and talked to us and asked how everything was. What a great guy! I will definitely be back and support this local restaurant. They are doing it right. Thank you Social House!

Went for breakfast and was delighted with a quirky, tasty take on morning eating. Breakfast is the most clichéd of menus and Social House has taken a great slant on it. Service was friendly and fast, and the owner checked on us. The bartender served drinks to our table himself. The drinks were fantastic.

Went for the first time today to have lunch! Had the carne asada tacos and they were delicious! Also had a glass of the kombucha on tap, which was refreshing. So many options on the menu, can't wait to go back and try different things! The atmosphere was very nice inside. Great for a relaxing breakfast/lunch, and a nice place to grab a drink and dinner later on in the evening. The staff was very helpful when choosing a food option. Highly recommend checking this place out for to-go food, or dining in!

Modern bistro meets cool bar. Our bartender (Connor) was a craft cocktail expert. Super personable and funny, and helped us explore some amazing cocktails. Haven't had that much fun sitting at a bar in a long time.

Great place for a quick or long bite. Super attentive service. The restaurant has a wonderful layout, welcoming. Staff was accommodating to our family needs. Kids were fascinated with the food. Adult plates are filling and prices are fair for the quality/taste. Ideal for a meeting.

It’s the downtown vibe lacking in the South U and campus area. Well priced with a huge variety of foods and flavors and a super friendly staff. Great for dining in with table service or to get some grub and get work done - in which case you can order at the front and they won’t bother you after that other than bringing your order. Highly recommend!

Great place for food and drink. Very well priced menu for great quality food. The beef hash is a hit so is the steak and peppers . They use ribeye which makes it so so tasty.

Impressive place! They're off to a great start. The owner seems like a nice guy. I agree with the other reviewers that they have interesting food with well balanced flavors, good service, great atmosphere and good prices.

Went for the first time this Friday. We had a blast dancing and great drinks! (My favorite was Lavender G &T) Plus amazing burger 👍

This place is so good!! The style is super sleek and they have lots of options for whatever you’re feeling! Really great place to study but also a good place to meet friends and have a drink! I highly recommend!
