Jim Brady's Ann Arbor

I am surprised how I missed this restaurant in Ann Arbor. Beautiful design, great food and friendly staffs. The drinks were perfect. They have happy hours 4-6 which drinks are $7 and 3 appetizers are for $7. We ordered all 3 appetizers and been more than happy because all were super delicious.
Grace, our waitress, was nice and professional.

Went here for my birthday. I have to say I was very impressed with the food(fresh, cooked perfect and full of flavor), balanced drinks, and a very warm environment. The service was great, perfectly on time, the manager was very friendly made us feel like regulars. Overall a great environment with a great atmosphere to have a great time. Thank you.

Great happy hour! The crispy ravioli is delicious. Wide selection of drinks. Staff were so friendly! Vegan and gluten free options.

Great casual place on Maint Street. It's a multi-storied building, with multiple bars which is nice. My family had drinks and food, everything was delicious. Prices for cocktails are $9-14 and most of the food items are $12-18. Service was excellent for a new restaurant. Also saw they have a great happy hour deal.

A Classic - Upscale pub food - Love the Cubano, Charlie Brown burger, the fish n Chips.... never had a bad dish here. Great service and clearly a chef that cares about the food. Awesomeness! Oh, and the best carrot cake on the planet!

A fabulous retro vibe restaurant and bar where vintage Detroit meets the 21st century. This place is great. There are three stories that include two bars, seating for dining and lots of TVs for sports viewing. The decor and lighting give you a throwback feeling to a different era. They have fantastic food and drinks. Prices are very reasonable. We have eaten there twice and the favorites are the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail Supreme, Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Ocho Tochoes ( the cheese sauce is to die for), and everyone in our group was raving about the French dip. They make their own ice cream (Amazingly good!). The staff and management are friendly and attentive. One of my favorite places in Ann Arbor - highly recommended.

You don't expect the place to be so cool and comfortable. Great place to watch sports, have a beer and eat delicious food. Out of everything we tried, the mac n cheese and all the burgers were amazing. Another good thing working for Jim's is the fact that it's not expensive

I've been here twice now since it opened and the food has been great both times. A wide variety of food choices from farro salad to macaroni and cheese. The chili there is with a special mention: very tasty with lots of meat and a good tomato flavor. The wait staff is super attentive and the atmosphere is pure old school fun. They even had a record player in the bathroom!

I changed my review from 4 stars to 5. I reviewed Jim Brady's Ann Arbor a few years ago and the service has really improved. We had EXCELLENT service last night. Great atmosphere and the food was delicious! We'll be coming back!

A Detroit classic makes another home in downtown Ann Arbor.

My party vastly enjoyed their meals, drinks were tasty and very pleasing to the eye. Everything from our appetizer to main course was plentiful and quite tasty. Great flavor - would recommend the quesadillas for it's perfectly balanced mouth-feel and bite of the light acidic pineapple.
The atmosphere is one that we do not have in A2 at the moment, it was dark, but also inviting with it's classic 50's decor and era corresponding colors.
If you want to experience a new atmosphere, quality food and drink, this would be a great destination.

Love it. The best old fashion I ever had!!In general, great cocktail selection. I totally recommend the chicken breast entree. Definitely going back to try more dishes and cocktails!

I love this place. The food is phenomenal, the drinks are potent and tasty, and the service is excellent. It is definitely worth spending the few extra dollars for the food. I got the steak mac and cheese during my most recent visit, and each individual component to the dish was SO good. I cannot wait to go back!

This place is incredible. We have been here twice, and the food was excellent both times. We had two different servers, and they were both fantastic. They were both friendly, engaging, without being intrusive. The second time, the server l, Karsten, engaged my children so well. It was natural to him, and really made the experience for them, (the first time was just my husband and myself.) If you like a little spice, I recommend the chicken and waffles, if you enjoy burgers, I would go with the Bad Ax. The food is incredible, the service fabulous, and the atmosphere is top notch. We cannot wait to come back. This place is kid friendly, but it is nice for a casual date night too. They have a great bar, the drinks are well made. I have to say, if you one star this place, I am willing to bet you just like to complain. As someone who is infamously picky, and has eaten as restaurants all over the globe, this place is great.

We wanted to eat in downtown Ann Arbor because we were going to a show at the Ark. We arrived about 6:30, knowing it was a home game weekend. We weren't expecting the insane crowds of people eating out, coupled with low staffing at many of our formerly favorite places to eat. We finally moved further north on Main Street and saw that Diamond Jim's didn't have a crazy crowd so we decided to try our luck. It was a great choice. We sat at the bar and had the friendliest and best service we've had in quite a while from Ashley and Andreos. The food came quickly and was delicious. The salad was excellent, followed by our mains-- mine salmon while my husband had the whitefish. Both were great. We shared a dessert. The dragons sangria was truly wonderful. Strongly recommend!

We had the best experience from the moment I called the owner requesting to change my reservation of 2 to 12!! He was very gracious and immediately helped me get a spot. We were having “moms night” with our sons that go to UofM! Our waiter Will was awesome and several other employees stepped in and made our time seamless! The food was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed our specialty cocktails and really loved the ambiance. It was an absolutely perfect night and Jim Brady’s set the tone! Thank you!

I’m a JB regular. Consistent, exceptional service with the quality to match, both from the kitchen and the bar. I’m excited to see some “old school” items returning to the menu, but would love to see the Chicken Poppers and Steak Bites come back as well. Would also love to see a good chicken entree. Never a complaint about what I have — just a longing for something different. I’m here at least four times a week and am never disappointed. Robyn, Ash, Troy, and the rest of the crew always make me feel at home. Some of the best Ann Arbor has to offer.

A pity that we didn’t take pictures of our delicious dishes. I had the seared and roasted salmon, my husband had the Bad Axe Burger, and my niece had the Spanish octopus. They’re all savory, deliciously fantastic! It’s a noisy place but, hey, concentrate on savoring your food.

We had the best experience at Jim Brady’s this weekend. The food and service were incredible! We ordered delicious cocktails and food. They made sure that you were taken care of while dining. The ambiance was perfect for a fun Friday night! You will not be disappointed! We loved the burgers and carrot cake!
