Mediterrano

My husband and I had been wanting to try Mediterrano for quite sometime. We usually pass right by it on our way to the Olive Garden in that same plaza.

We finally went in one day and was met with the most hospitable, manager, Megan, and our waiter, Jacob! Not only was the food presented elegantly, but our dishes were very delicious. I had the salmon on the menu, and my husband had the moist, favorable, chicken. The calamari was the best that I've had in a long time.

Needless to say, we will be back! They made us feel like famous stars visiting for the first time on top of the food being amazing.

I just ate here and service was great but the food was incredible. Our server Amanda described certain dishes with knowledge and I was impressed. I have the filet and I’ve eaten this cut in various high end places but never finished to this level with sides and sauces that matched meat in attention to detail. There were 2 others in my group and they cleaned their plates and were all completely satisfied. I live 4 hours away but would come here for this food. I look forward to my next work trip back.

Start to finish, this meal was awesome.
First, we were very warmly welcomed, and seated right away. The service was fabulous, with great recommendations. The food was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The bacon wrapped dates were a surprisingly delicious flavor combo. We got the lamb shank and the salmon for entrees, both awesome. Dessert (rice pudding) was amazing as well. Love that its family owned. This place has been hiding from me! We will be back in the very near future.

Some of the best Mediterranean food you will ever have! The small Greek salad was the perfect prelude to sharing one huge portion of Paella La Casa. Delicious. Special thanks to our excellent server - Amanda H.

I wish I could give 10 stars!

I recently visited Ann Arbor and my fiancé surprised me with dinner at a restaurant we had never been to before. After over 25 years in the restaurant industry I consider myself to be an excellent (almost snobbish) judge of fine cuisine. Mediterrano not only exceeded my expectations, they raised the bar for their entire city. This was hands down the BEST meal I have ever had in Michigan. We had the salad with poached pears and gorgonzola which had the most sublime fig balsamic vinaigrette. We also had one of the nightly specials which was impeccably cooked swordfish over roasted fingerling potatoes with fennel and a pistachio beurre blanc. It was absolutely delicious!

The staff, especially Dimitri and Megan, were amazing and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and even though we sat at the bar, I noticed the tables were well spaced to allow for cozy dining even if it’s busy. They have a superbly curated wine list and some marvelous cocktail and beer choices as well.

This restaurant is definitely worth the visit and I’d am looking forward to my next trip!

The name is accurate but also a little deceptive. I was expecting either Italian or Arab and what I got was the entire pond. Dishes from everywhere, including North Africa, Spain, and Greece (plus Italian). I have been looking for a place that does paella the way I remember it from Spain and the Paella for Two we ordered was as close as I remembered it. We were in a big group, and the waitstaff handled us competently and with no fuss. The surroundings are upscale modern, and the wine list is impressive. I highly recommend this place for anybody looking for an interesting night on the Mediterranean (in Michigan)[

Amazing dinner here! We didn’t know they were a family owned restaurant, which made it that much better too. Every dish was amazing, down to even the bread and light garlic sauce. I recommend the halloumi and the gnocchi. Will definitely be going back to try more on the menu, especially once it’s warmer and their outdoor patio opens.

Had a lovely time here. The food was delicious and our server was excellent. Cocktails were also delightful. Hadn't realized it was a fancy place so we were certainly under dressed but no one made us feel any less for it.

We had an amazing dinner w/a nice bottle of Greek wine. Our waitress was so nice and on top of everything. Dates to start, bread service, lasagna & kebob. Purchased some of their olive oil to take home too. A perfect evening celebration!

Overall amazing experience! Everything we ordered was delicious and we would highly recommend the La casa paella and the gnocchi. The quality of service was even better, some of the best I’ve even experienced! The staff was phenomenal - super helpful, friendly welcoming and, caring! We will definitely be back and brining our family.

While in town I was looking for something local and non chain. What a great find! I didn't have reservations, so I took a seat at the bar. The bartender was great. Friendly and amazing service. The food was perfect as was the Manhattan. I liked it so much I came back the next night to explore more of the menu. I was equally impressed the second night as I was the first. Changed up my beverage and had a great old fashioned. When I'm back in Ann Arbor I'll definitely be back.

Just went into this restaurant randomly. My first time. Very clean. Waiters were just superb! Friendly. Professional. Allowed guests to take their time, no rush. I loved the food. A little pricey, but worth it. I would request less salt in my food next. Had to ask for bread before it was served. Lentil soup was great.

TASTY!!! Whew I tried their pan seared salmon and baby!! It is sooo good!! The service was impeccable and prices are reasonable!! A must try! You will not and I repeat will not be disappointed!!

Fabulous experience. The food is terrific. We started with Haloumi which was specatacular. The pesto on the side was as good as I have ever had. Next came the Village Salad which is a very fresh Greek salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and feta cheese. We shared an 8oz Filet with fondant potatoes and brocollni. Two great deserts to end the meal.

But what made the dinner spectacular was the service. Warm, friendly, and attentive. Neither hovering over us or neglecting us. Just perfect.

The food was amazing! We came for our anniversary and enjoyed the food immediately. Definitely get the bacon wrapped dates and lamb.

Our waitress wasn't great. I think because we were dressed in street clothes she assumed we wouldn't tip or something. We had to stop her to ask her for everything.

Very flavorful food with abundant portions. The staff was nice and attentive and the food arrived very quickly. The brussel sprouts appetizer was great and will easily feed 3 or 4 people. The entree was great, the chicken was cooked well and the couscous had lots of flavor.

My fellow dietetic masters degree candidates & I came here for dinner & each ordered something different! we all had a lovely evening & enjoyed our food. I got the village salad & the gnocchi with salmon added. the atmosphere was perfect for a nice dinner event, or mayhaps, a date <3

I love this restaurant. I love so much about it. They’ve up their game with event dinners, made the signatures dishes even better. Great staff and they are family owned and truly a great family. My husband and I date night there.

As foodies, my boyfriend and I have high expectations. We were blown away by this place. We tried the Brussels, bread, cheese plate, charcuterie, patatas bravas, braised short ribs tagliatelle, chocolate mousse, and espresso. Everything was perfect. Well balanced flavors of high-quality ingredients prepared excellently combined into memorable meal. The atmosphere was modern, clean, and the lighting was perfect for date night. Also, the Greek Olive Oil is now on my gift-giving shopping list for fellow foodies who appreciate a fruity & velvety Olive Oil. 10/10
