Black Diesel Coffee

I love Black Diesel. I’ve come a few times. Gotten coffee, hot and iced, as well as some matcha, hot and iced as well. I will say they have the best matcha of the places I’ve tried around Ann Arbor. It’s the perfect amount of sweet. They don’t skimp on the amount given either, filling every cup to the brim. They have a nice vibe and a very spacious patio for the warmer months. I haven’t tried much of their food, just some croissants which are pretty good and not bad. Definitely give this place a try!

Took the time to get out of my hotel and explore Ann Arbor local coffee shop. Two things that caught my attention were the locally made pastries aka croissants from Cannelle and pour over coffee! Throughly enjoyed my breakfast at the coffee bar and great conversation with the baristas.

love their pour-over coffees, go for any they're great. cubano isn't really that good, it's essentially an espresso with hell lotta sugar. great outdoor as well as indoor seating.

Great place to have some nice coffee and relaxed vibe in the morning. I come here several times for my favorite breakfast its a Turkey Panini I got to say this got me hook! 🍞🥐☕ I will keep come back to check out other menu as well 😸 but overall this place is great and chill~

Ps. My drink in the pictures is “Earth day matcha Latte” 🌎🍃 I’m not sure if this will be seasonal drink or all time but you should try if you like matcha

omg this place was so good! It has such a cute vibe and the employees were so nice! They didn’t have gelato at the time we went but the coffee definitely made up for it! I got their limited time frozen mint matcha and it was delicious! My friend got an americano and they gave her a cute sugar stick. The chocolate almond croissant was so good! I’m a big fan of croissants that are a little thicker it was very boujee I love it. I’m definitely remembering this place the next time I’m in the area.

This is one of my new favorite spots for coffee and work. The coffee is smooth and thoughtfully brewed each time, the bakery items are fresh, and the baristas are attentive and kind. There is a printer for printing needs, plenty of chargers and seats both inside and outside to sit and get things done.

The first impression was very good, the ambience is very welcoming and staff is even better.

The pour over coffee was made with clear interest to serve the best coffee and to serve the experience with us.
The menu is kept simple and yet covers a vast variety of coffee.

The food options are limited but that was expected for this being a dedicated coffee Cafe. However the time of day might also matter when it comes to food. We went in the evening; I am pretty sure Am time will have better food choices.

The seating area is very good. There are a few chairs for the bar style seating too, where you can enjoy the view of coffee making.

Cheers to this place and will certainly come back.

Had Fortune cookie latte and chocolate strawberry latte. Both good.

It was a great experience stopped by for a quick cup of coffee on my way to work. It was the best coffee I’ve ever had I also really like the croissants definitely recommend it.

The best chai bomb (Dirty Chai Latte) in Ann Arbor! I love this little gem of a coffee shop, not only for its amazing coffee but also the atmosphere. This is certainly one of my favorite places to grab a handcrafted drink then sit and get some work done either inside in the quaint and cozy cafe area, or outside on their spacious patio. They even have a loyalty club, and for my birthday I got a free reward! Another unique thing about this spot is they have kombucha on tap, which is rare to find these days especially at a coffee shop! I love it here. ☕

Great coffee, friendly staff, and calm atmosphere. Lovely place to come in and do work/classwork with various outlets and lots of natural sunlight.

I was excited to try Black Diesel Coffee after it was recommended to me emphatically by a current patron. The staff was friendly and professional, and the cafe itself looked clean. There is a printer in the corner; though I didn't use it, this might be something to look into for people that want a cafe to study/work at. Several people were working on computers, while others were talking in an open area. It looks like a nice place to hang out!

My cappuccino was aesthetically pleasing and the right temperature. The foam was deliciously bitter and airy, and the rest of the coffee was also on point. A great experience, and far better than your average Starbucks cappuccino. The smallest size (piccolo) is $3.75, which is within the expected price of your average Starbucks tall espresso-based drink.

In summary, I would highly recommend Black Diesel for their lovely cappuccino, and it looks like a good place to stay a while too!

It was refreshing encountering baristas who were knowledgeable about coffee and not just their own cafe. They represented their shop well, and at the same time, they could speak about the other great place around town. Well crafted coffee. However, some of the beans they were selling were almost 2 months off roast. Still, 5 star experience from a fantastic cafe!

This is the best coffee I've ever had out of over 100 places that I've tried. Their coffee is so smooth. They truly know their craft.

Love the vibe in here, the Brasil dark roast was some of the best I have ever had, uniquely smooth and less acidic than what I am used to. Didn't try them but the pastries looked insane. They do board game nights during the Spring and Summer, and that's always a huge plus for me!

What a joy it is to have a neighborhood coffee shop! I'm equidistant to Black Diesel and Roosroast and I love them both, but tend to visit Black Diesel more often because they have longer hours and an exciting variety of flavors. It's got great vibes and good music for the indoor and outdoor seating.

usually don’t go out for coffee or cafe drinks but i love the atmosphere here and the special drinks that come around each month! all the baristas are amazing

Nicely located ( intersection of e stadium blvd and packard ) coffee shop with great outdoor space. Had a tasty honeybee latte( $5.12) and they serve waffles in the morning. Also they have a collection of few small plants for sale.
