Red Hawk Bar & Grill

We stopped by Red Hawk Bar & Grill for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was quiet in the restaurant and the staff was friendly. They let us know of some recommendations and specials. The portions are large and the atmosphere is really relaxed. We enjoyed our meal and our walk downtown.

I ordered the Traditional Red Hawk Burger with Steak Fries and the Sweet Potato Fries. The burger came out exactly like I wanted, medium rare. It was tasty and the toppings were fresh. The steak fries weren't anything special but the sweet potato fries had a perfect crisp and paired very well with the chipotle-mayo. I also had the paloma drink here and the flavors didn't pop as much as I wanted it to but, still refreshing nonetheless. Overall experience was great and our waitress Elena was very nice.

Great place to grab an evening bite in Ann Arbor. Decent service and food. Establishment doesn't have a college town feel eventhough it's right in the middle.

We are local and this is our go to place. Good food, value, and the service is always great. Love this place. One pet peeve is that it is difficult to get good French fries anymore, they are frequently breaded and coated with chemicals. These fries are au natural! Yum.

Stopped in for a quick bite and was very pleased with my meal. The atmosphere is great and they offer a ton of seating. I ended up getting the Smoked Turkey Rueben which was so good and something I’ll definitely come back for. Their hand cut fries are also very good and I would recommend getting them with your meal. Price wise they are very fair as my sandwich with a side ended up being about fourteen dollars. Stop by and give them a try!

Our annual stop-over in Ann Arbor. Burgers as good as always, cooked exactly to order! Cocktails & good wine. Love being next to campus for a walk after. Atmosphere? Just what you want in a bar & grill.

Amazing food options, and everything tasted great! One of the best burgers I've had in a long time, and the cheese curds are perfect. Great place for any occasion.

I just had the privilege of devouring the GUMBO of shrimp, chicken and andouille sausages at the Red Hawk. The combination of authenticity, simplicity and savoir-faire in this dish made me fall off my chair. The quality and freshness of the ingredients splashed off the plate and the masterful preparation - brilliant in its simplicity - did the rest. Not only delicious, but also healthy and satiating. Anyone looking for unadulterated quality without fuss, at a fair price in pleasant surroundings, knows where to go.

Wonderful downtown Ann Arbor gem ! The drinks were amazing, I loved the Irish Coffee ! And that absolutely mouthwatering churro cheesecake 🤪 ! It made me melt inside, it was so delicious! My friend highly enjoyed the Brussel sprouts!

Stopped for dinner before a show at the Michigan Theater. Bellied up to the bar. Had a couple of drinks. My wife ordered the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. I had the Red Hawk burger. She was very happy with hers. My burger was a perfect medium cook. Great service. We had a wonderful time. Thanks Red Hawk!

In town for a campus tour and stopped in here for a quick lunch. Burgers all around and all were cooked to order. The burgers were also pretty large. Didn't know if I was going to be able to finish mine. That was mostly because my onion rings were perfect, and I had to eat them all first. Rings were about a half inch thick and tempura battered. Sooooo good. Wife's steak fries were good too. Service was as good as you can get. Not all over you and not MIA either. Overall it was a great experience.

Very good food and drinks. Our server and the other service staff was very attentive, all of our main plates came out at the same time which was appropriate. I had order the Beijing duck que​sa​dil​la which is an appetizer and a full size Caesar salad for my main food items; and our server was mindful to bring my salad and appetizer out at the same time as the other entrées, which is entirely appropriate being that it was a family dinner. I'll admit that in my photograph there are only three pieces of the Beijing duck que​sa​dil​la, but there was original four pieces, I was just so hungry and the food looked and smelled so good that I gobbled one piece down before snapping the photo, my bad, but it was so good. The mango salsa was delicious, it was spicy, but I love spicy so it was a great treat for me and paired really well with the Beijing duck quesadilla.

Why aren’t we eating here more often? The chicken Parmesan club was very good. Balsamic dressing on the salad was good too. Best of all was the French 75 cocktail! Will be back!

Three of us went out for dinner at Red Hawk Bar & Grill on South State Street in Ann Arbor, after the Ann Arbor Film Fest. We loved it - ordered fish and chips (breaded nicely, firm yet tender and so flaky a piece hollowed out a bit when snapped in half), the flank steak, and the salmon entree. They are known for the beer menu here, but a couple of us ordered craft cocktails. This was a good night out with great service!

Burger was top notch. Potatoes could have been cooked a bit longer, but maybe that’s just personal preference. I ate ‘em all.

One of our favorite restaurants in Ann Arbor, for five years. Great breakfast. Built my own burger last time we were there, in September, and it was delicious. Highly recommended!

Food is still great after all these years. Service was excellent. Beijing Duck Quesadillas are still my favorite.

Very nice atmosphere, great staff, our server Evan was friendly and just the right attentive. Food was fantastic! I had the steak, done perfectly medium, flavorful and tender, super tasty mashed potatoes and great onion rings. My wife had an incredible burger, and easily the best sweet potato fries ever! Will definitely return! Oh, and the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. Thanks for a great meal experience!
