Logan Martin Lake Park

Great park, no swings, fishing, swimming, and an easy trail, less than 2 miles long. You can cross the damn for fishing in more turbulent waters (I’ve seen some big old bass, just yesterday a 5lb stripe and I wasn’t on that side but about 15 mins). If you stay on the side with the park, there are several piers to fish off of (Game warden does frequent this spot and checks every- quick pass the pole to the kid!), a long shore line for throwing rocks, walking, a nice size swim area, picnic tables, shade, etc. one of my family’s go to spots as there is something for everyone and all the kids.

Nice place to spend the afternoon with family or friends. Warm water, nice tree's shadow, nothing else to ask to have a good moment

PROS: EXCELLENT PLAYGROUND.

CONS: walking trail is NOT "family friendly" but it's awesome for adults who want an intermediate walking trail with hills, holes and mud!

If you want a LIGHT walk go RIGHT and it's mostly downhill. If u want a slightly HEAVIER walk go RIGHT and it's slightly uphill.

Great park! Good jungle gym for the kids and adults alike. Good beach area. Can be kind of dirty at times but overall no less than you'd expect from any other public park. The walking trail is the real gem here.

It’s a beautiful park thanks to Alabama Power for giving us a nice place to go enjoy and have fun with family and friends. Remember if you go please be kind and help keep it clean so we will have a place close to enjoy for ever. They adding new stuff to it. Just give them time.to finish. I really enjoy taking my kids here to swim. Its a pretty nice place and the sunset can't be beat! They have a big playground for the kids, a fishing pier, and a hiking trail here also. And its all Free! Part of Alabama Power Shorelines, The Preserves. I've never used the bathroom here, as I have heard a few times it's less than desirable.

Had a little girl's birthday party here. Everyone had an awesome time.

Great park that Alabama Power has put together! Couple miles of walking trails, plenty of parking, picnic areas, nice fishing docks, segmented off swimming area etc. And a huge climbing area for kids. Only complaint is it has fancy portapotties for bathroom facilities and no running water.

This is an awesome place to take your family for a day at the lake. New playground, grills and cover picnic tables. They are have 2 piers for fishing. Big thanks for Alabama Power for setting this up. Please keep it clean so they will keep it open.
