Mi Pueblo Restaurant

We are from Dallas, and when we travel down south, this is a must stop for us. It never disappoints, and food is delicious. The only downside is the wait time. We got there during lunchtime, and there was a wait. Is well worth the wait tho. We love this place.

We had lunch here yesterday, party of 10. No reservations, but they took us in and handled everything smoothly. The chips and salsa arrived along with menus as soon as we are seated. You got 2 choices of salsa, the cold one is the one you would normally see, and the warm one is more smooth version. The chips are amazing and I personally prefer the cold salsa with it. We ordered variety of food from sour cream enchilada, tostada dinner, quesadilla, and one of us even brave enough to order the Mexican Burrito. All orders came without any mishaps and everyone satisfied with their orders. The portions are more on the big side and everything came with delicious mexican rice and beans.

This was one of the best Mexican restaurants I have gone to in a while. The food was extremely good, the waiter extremely friendly and it was overall a good experience. I ordered the Mexican Burrito and my husband ordered the Poblano Chicken breast. They had amazing portion sizes and I had to pack half of my burrito back home. I have never had such a delicious smothered burrito anywhere else in Texas and they were kind enough to make a vegetarian version for me. I was so happy with my burrito and my hubby was even more happy with his Chicken. If you haven’t been there definitely plan to visit because I am sure you would want to go back there every week. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience.

One of our favorite local spots to eat at and visit. The food is delicious, comes out hot every time. The only thing that I would have to say is based on how popular it is, the parking is tight when they are busy and the dining area can seem small when busy as it can be hard to walk through. That does not stop us from being regulars !

This place is like eating with your family. They have the best lengua tacos in the area, ask for cebolla asada, they treat their customers with love. The mocajete is amazing. On Tuesday they have $1 ground beef crispy tacos. I brought 3 hungry teenagers and we got the guacamole live (9.99) and one drink and for 4 people our bill was $34. Paulita is so kind and Miguel has made me cry with his kindness and humanity.

It's been a long time since I was last here. It was only a short wait to get a table on a late Sunday morning. Service was great. Food was awesome. I had Migas which were delicious. It was served with beans, potatoes and a strip of bacon and tortillas. Wife had combo breakfast taco and she liked that the tacos were actually full. She like them a lot. Grand daughter had a burrito which looked incredible, but I didn't sample it. Grandson had chicken nuggets that just looked meh. Cost was about $10 a person plus tax and tip.
TLDR: Good service, great food, worth a visit.

This place must be very popular because we were here at a time I wouldn't expect to be that busy (lunch on a weekday), but it was very busy. We didn't have to wait, though, and service was still good. I was impressed that they were able to have such good service even with this place being packed, almost all the tables in use. The best things about this restaurant were the price and the freshness and quality of the ingredients. This place was cheap and the serving size was good. Tex-Mex food is often heavy but this place wasn't. Not only did the food taste great, but we felt great after eating here, a hallmark of a place that knows how to cook. This was a great place to stop for lunch and then get on with our day.

OMG! Everything here was delicious!! The service, the chips and salsa, the cheese enchiladas, rice, refried beans, Margarita and frozen ice cream!!! All very yummy!! I will certainly be back again and again!!

Mexican food is a comfort food for me. I am rather judgmental when a salsa can't be made well. I have no complaints with Mi Pueblo. The two salsas they delivered to the table had a fresh and warm homestyle feel. The fajita beef was flavorful, plentiful and tender in my Texas burrito. Wife loved her taco salad. Overall, a terrific experience and excellent service. I will definitely return.

Update: Returned and saw a little better spacing between tables (as the seating before felt restrictive and tight.) Ordered a chimichanga, torta, quesadilla and enchilada this time around. Everything was great. I don't think I mentioned before but great seasoning on the refried beans. The torta was beautiful...perfect amount of beef and a solid amount of avocado. We had a wonderful time and are reminded that we need to return more often.

A delightful little restaurant with authentic Mexican food. The service was quick and friendly. The food honestly couldn't be beat for the cost either.

Anything <5⭐s would be an absolute lie. This place is fantastic! Authentic, festive atmosphere and, most of all, the food is top notch. There was no cutting corners here. You will get great food for a fair price. Don’t pass this one by. You’ll be sorry!

Fantastic find. Drove 15 minutes out of the way bc of the reviews and it did not disappoint. No wait on a Saturday night, quickly seated and our drinks and free chips and salsa came out quickly. The service and recently renovated atmosphere was fantastic. The fajitas here are ridiculously good and wins the best value award for sure.

Authentic place to experience Mexican food. There are a lot of specials both for drinks and entrees for every day. The price is reasonable and food is great. Even if it wasn't busy waiters didn't pay enough attention and we need to wait for a long time to get a bill. Especially we liked the chicken. Definitely going to come back. One of the best Mexican places around Killeen area.

Great service and great authentic tasting Mexican food. Not American version of Mexican food. This was our 1st time here and will definitely be back again. Best tasting Mexican food in Belton.

The menu is expansive ... Something for everyone for sure. The portion sizes are actually quite huge...enough of everything for everyone. The wait staff was polite, helpful and patient with our large party. He gave great recommendations and made sure everything was perfect.

I have to stay the $6.99 shrimp torta I ordered was absolutely delicious! The bread was beautifully flattened over a stuffed filling of shrimp and lettuce. A little more avocado would have been nice, but for the price, I was completely impressed.

Kid's menu items were full plates...actually more appropriate sized for adults, but who can complain about too much food for the price?!?!?

Sour cream enchiladas were amazing...and unique...never seen this dish before and it was pretty fantastic especially for a sour cream lover.

The bowl of tortilla soup was huge..and stuffed full of ingredients...not just a bowl of liquid with a few pieces of this or that...it was a full fledged, stuff you to max, complete meal topped with four thick slices of gorgeous, fresh, exactly ripened avocado.

For the downsides....the $1.99 margaritas were very "weak". I suppose you get what you pay for! The Mexican rice was super salty...just a bit too much tomato bouillon perhaps? It was edible if you mixed it with a no salty item like lettuce or sour cream, but as a stand alone item, it was no where near top of the line.

Lastly, the two salsas were both "okay"...one was mild with a very tomato sauce flavor while the other was spicy with lots of cilantro. We found mixing them together made a fairly well balanced salsa. Chips were simple meh.

Overall, for 8 ppl to all be satisfied with no mistakes in the order and some impressive attention to special requests, I have to give them 5 stars!

Ahh...lastly..the parking lot is small and packed....there IS extra parking behind the restaurant, but there are no signs telling you that....we just happened upon it.

We have eaten here twice, great food. Seriously very good, especially the steak tacos. The enchiladas were good too.

Went in for the first time Friday with friends. Dinner was excellent. The service was excellent. I especially loved the horchata and the charro beans. We will definitely return. What a wonderful find!

Decided to make 1 other review just to say how great the staff was I didn't catch there names but they were nice and accommodating and as always the food came out absolutely amazing

Good food, fast service, all the staff was polite and friendly, plenty of food for the price. Definitely recommend the Mexican burrito, its huge. The mixed fajitas with cheese was excellent. I would definitely recommend you try it, probably gonna go back one day.
