Backwoods Burger Bar

This was a Rise n Shine Burger. It had an over easy egg, bacon, hash browns and hot sauce. The fries hand-cut fries with blue cheese crumbles and drizzled with Buffalo sauce and then dipped in homemade blue cheese dressing. Was amazing food!

My buddy goed through Kingsport a lot and suggested we try it. Man, this place is fantastic. We all shared the loaded fries and they were delicious. I got the chicken sandwich and it was delicious. There was only one server and she kicked butt with great service. Bathrooms were clean and that's always important. For sure will go back next time we're in town.

The best burgers downtown ! The fried banana peppers are crispy and delicious. I have had the sliders every time I come in. My boyfriend has had several of their burgers and each one has been juicy and delicious. We also LOVE the buffalo blue cheese fries, they are a must. Lastly, the sweet tea has never disappointed.

This place is a must stop! Masie did a fantastic job handli g the lunch rush by herself and still was as friendly and accommodating as possible! Delicious food and country feel venue.

Went with a group of guys from Church. Nice little place - food was GREAT - had a Blue Cheese burger with Onion rings. Service was a tad slow, but we also had a large group (12). We'll definitely go back!

If you want a great burger in the Tricities area, this is it!! And proud that it's in Kingsport area! You will NOT leave hungry, their patties are big and fresh ground beef! Their fries are freshly homemade too! You won't find a lettuce and tomato type of burger here, explore the menu and go for it! You won't be disappointed! I personally recommend the Mighty Feisty!! Their Buffalo Fries appetizer is 👌🏽 so good, as well as their BBQ fries and shareable!! Environment and service is great, they do have TVs for games, but not loud. We take every family visiting to this small business burger joint.

Been here several times. Burgers are well made and they are always cooked how you all to perfection. Fries and tatertots always cooked perfectly as well The bar has most styles of beer represented. Mac n cheese was really good as well.

The burgers are delicious and the portion size is generous. My husband and I split our burger and left feeling too full to get something sweet afterwards. We'll definitely go back.

They were super short staffed and got hit with a lunch rush from the basketball tournament. But Chelsey was extremely nice, apologetic and efficient. Yes we waited to be served and yes we waited on the food. But that was expected with the circumstances. Food was hot and delicious. 10/10 recommend and be sure to ask for Chelsey!

The best selection of craft beer in Kingsport! Ice cold from the tap. Seriously delicious food. I definitely recommend their pimento cheese and pork rinds. High quality burgers with the freshest ingredients. Our server Whitney was fantastic. The atmosphere is really laid back and family friendly.

I was looking for a place that we hadn't been to before and found Backwoods Burger Bar in downtown Kingsport. We hadn't heard of it before, but the menu looked really good. My wife, daughter, and I all ordered burgers (since it was National Hamburger Day, May 28) with 3 different sides: Onion Rings, Homemade Hand-cut Fries, and Fried Banana Peppers, so that we could all try each of them. Everything was delicious! You will not be disappointed. The burgers are a half pound, and I was told that the owner said that his burgers do not require condiments. He was right! I got the Backwoods Burger because I wanted to try the pulled pork bbq which is made in house that was on it. It had a delicious smokey flavor and was very moist. We are looking forward to going back. The service was outstanding. I hope I'm getting the name right. If not, I'm sorry. On my receipt, it shows Ramona. She said that she had been there since the restaurant opened. She was very personable and told us about the history of the restaurant and the owner. She checked on us multiple times. It was an all around Great experience! I highly recommend that you try this restaurant out.

EXCELLENT Burger! And CELIAC SAFE kitchen! My gluten free bun was really good! The fries are done in a separate fryer. Friendly service, food made fresh to order. Will definitely be a frequent favorite!

The food was great. The service was great. Never been to a restaurant/bar that had animals hanging on the walls. It was awesome the way it was fixed up. You will not be disappointed when you go there to eat. There is one appetizer that I couldn't help but laugh at and it was called "Red Neck Corn Dogs". I don't want to spoil it for the person that reads this review. You have to order them and when they are delivered to your table you will understand why I laughed. I would have never thought of that. But you should try to visit the restaurant.

My son & I were downtown wandering around and found this little restaurant. We love trying local restaurants and decided to give it a try. We were greeted as soon as we came in and out waitress was awesome. The burgers were huge and very tasty and they offered many different sides. Will definitely come back and dine here again

Burgers, Beer and a great atmosphere - what more can you want? I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food, quick service, and very reasonable prices at Backwoods Burger Bar. We visited a week after opening, when most restaurants are still scrambling, and it felt like they've been open years. We split an appetizer of the Pulled Pork Fries and I had the Mac & Cheese burger. The decor is still getting fully setup, which is to be expected of a new restaurant, but this has become my go-to restaurant for fantastic food at an affordable price. It's a shame they don't allow more than 5 Stars!

This place was great! I loved the pork rinds and pimento cheese appetizer and the burger I had was good too. The service was great also. I dungy know why they weren't more busy, because this place is great!

We have been there multiple times and initially started going for the fried banana peppers. We went today and there was a blonde woman that waited our table that we had seen before, when she brought our food out she said she had made my salad herself and was proud of how it turned out. She was right to be proud because it was an amazing salad, I would definitely order the house salad from her again!
