Evelyn's Kitchen Table was a delightful find!! The food was extremely high quality, freshly made from scratch, not highly processed or microwaved. The coffee was great! This is truly a family-owned and operated small business that does the #eatlocal movement justice!! We will be back repeatedly as we have to visit Kingsport at least once a month for appointments.

I was pleasantly surprised by my visit to Evelyn's. The food I ordered was absolutely amazing and the portions were very large. The staff was very friendly and never let my drink get empty.

My wife and I got the Nashville hot grit bowl, the savory waffle, a side of eggs and a cat head biscuit. The grit bowl was delicious and well balanced with the heat. The waffle was also good. The biscuits was impressively delicious also and came with a wonderful choice of house made jams. Even the scrambled eggs were done well, which to me is equally impressive because more times than not I am underwhelmed with scrabbles eggs. We also got lattes and they were perfectly done and not over poweringly sweet. We definitely will recommend this hole in the wall place and look forward to its business thriving!

By far THE GREATEST BREAKFAST IN KINGSPORT! The best ever breakfast. My wife and I tried this place for the first time. Overwhelmed by the menu choices and ingredients. I went with the Arkansas because I’ve never seen fried pickles on a biscuit on any menu before and she went with the Apple Walnut Waffle. Waitress was nice and attentive, food came out quickly. Every thing we got was SO GOOD. Unbelievably good. The ingredients and the food combinations are something you’d expect in a fancy restaurant in a big city. This place is a hidden gem!!! First time eating here and I'm hooked the food was absolutely delicious and good portions too. The service was amazing my drink was kept full constantly and the servers always make sure that everything is going good. Prices are good and I honestly can't get enough

This place was really yummy! We came in for lunch on a Saturday around 1pm and were seated right away. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich exceeded my expectations! My husband had a breakfast entree and enjoyed that as well. We aren't in Kingsport often, but when we are and need lunch/breakfast this is a go to!

This was the best breakfast I have had in a restaurant in years. Phenomenal! I will never go to Kingsport without scheduling a stop here. Keep up the excelent food and quality service. Bryan saydie and Lyndsey are the best. Sunday brunch is awesome. It's different every Sunday. There is about 5 things on the menu to choose from and everything is so amazing.

Each week, I find myself going there to try something else on the menu or one of my favorites. One, the atmosphere is so chill and welcoming with photos all over the walls of the very local area of the people that's visiting there, so it gives a homely vibe. The music is great as well and is most relaxing. Second, the staff are the most friendly of all friendly and Brian is definitely my favorite waiter of all time. He's definitely the most courteous of anyone I've ever met in the food industry and always places smiles upon the faces of others. The other staff are epic as well and always so helpful. I tend to gravitate towards similar items on the menu and will speak to those next, however, I must say as time has gone on, they've added new items regularly enough to keep me interested while maintaining a reasonable sized set of options that aren't top overwhelming. Kadoos to the main cooks because the food is so delicious and mouth watering!! The best part is most the time, if two people wanted to split something, they probably could and be full. Either thay or take leftovers for later so by the time one looks at cost per person vs food, he ir she is most certainly getting a great value for their money. Thus far, family and friends I've taken there have been blown away. It beats McAlister's or any other sandwich, soup joint... and carries burgers, breakfast, and just packs the dlavors in. They're always happy to customize anything. I love and appreciate the flexibility! Go and take your colleagues, neighbors, friends, and family. Take your MA and Pa because they'll appreciate that old school food fill and feel! Ha! :) I don't Wana stop writing . . . I could go on! One small note that is slightly disappointing... They're only open during the day and I don't think weekends.

You can easily tell the food is made from scratch. Service is fantastic. I had the Buffalo Bill grits bowl...grits were creamy and perfect. They topped it with buffalo breaded chicken, cheese and sautéed peppers amd onions & topped with a fried egg. Sooo delicious!
My dining partner had the classic ham & cheese omelette & potatos, so good!!

Was a lil scared going in, but I walked in and was greeted by some customers that was leaving followed by one of the servers both with a smile and a welcoming feel. I told my server that I'm a foodie and her response was so exciting made me feel even more comfortable. I decided on 3 different items. 1st, apple and walnut waffle, the waffle was so fluffy you would have thought it was a Belgian waffle it was paired with grits no complaints, and was eaten without the warm syrup didn't need it. 2nd plate, omelet with bacon, sausage, peppers, onions, and cheese paired with home fries. The omelet could have been fluffier and the meat was a bit over cooked but everything was good, home fries was nice and crispyon the outside and soft on the inside. 3rd plate, pork grit bowl paired with fruit of the day which was watermelon now this dish is an acquired taste individually each item was good but together was a bit to much for me. fruit was fresh and sweet. If I'm ever back in Kingsport, TN I will definitely return.

Had the best fried chicken of my life thus far today at Evelyn’s! We also got the southwest grits bowl. It’s a sweet little restaurant with excellent service and nice decor. Highly recommend!

I came for the chicken salad but ended up getting the club sandwich. Folks, this is the best club sandwhich in Kingsport and probably the Tri-cities. They have amazing looking breakfast options as well. I will definitely be back. I could barely finish my sandwich. You get huge portions. They have plenty of seating and eloquent music playing lightly in the background. If you haven't been, put it on your must try list.

I was in Kingsport for work & Googled top rated restaurants near me. Evelyn's popped up & the photos of the food looked terrific! It was only 10 minutes away so I decided to give it a try. So glad I did! The restaurant is spacious, clean & nicely adorned. My server was wonderful... friendly, efficient & SO excited about the restaurant's offerings. She became quite animated describing the 'savory waffle' & was especially proud that they ground fresh beans for decaf coffee. The coffee was quite good. The savory waffle was delicious - the perfect amount of sausage chunks cooked into the waffle to give it both great flavor & a heartier texture. I was a little disappointed in the grits. I had cheese added & neither the cheese, nor the butter I added, melted - the grits just weren't adequately heated. I took home most of the grits & part of the waffle. When I reheated the grits & the butter & cheese melted, the grits were also tasty. I will definitely return to this restaurant, but I won't be shy about asking for HOT grits.

This diner was SO cute! The staff is extremely nice, fast and attentive. The food was fantastic, sure you can get eggs or waffles anywhere but they don’t taste this good! Definitely will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Easily the best chicken & waffles locally! The staff is very attentive and friendly. Only downside is Sundays menu is limited and different each week based on the local food availability, but even that is always good!

First time here and I LOVED IT. I don't even know where to begin. The food was amazing. I had the Eggs Benedict and potatoes. You can tell that the people in the kitchen really knew what they were doing. Everything was so fresh and seasoned so well. The potatoes were so good. Probably my favorite part. Their coffee was the best coffee I've ever had. I'm not exactly sure what they do to it but, the waitress said that it was freshly blended. I've had fresh coffee many times and never had anything like that. The staff was really nice and attentive. I do believe from what i overheard, that the menu changes pretty regularly other than some staple items and I think that is so important for the success of a resturant. Variety is a great thing, in my opinion. I also noticed another table got Biscuits and Gravy. It was a huge plate! Looked really good as well. I am just so impressed and I can't wait to visit again.

Best breakfast i have had in ages!!! Friendly staff. And love the fact they use regular different coffee mugs!(just like home) Gonna go back to check out the lunch menu. :)👍

I ordered take out. This was new to me coming in from Arkansas, I see complaints about the prices, but the portions are large and the food is amazing! It’s worth it and I’ll definitely be going back because everything was great.

Great service with fresh, quality food. The prices were a bit on the high side but when you get your food you understand why. It was delicious! Breakfast and lunch only so get there before 2 and note: they have a limited brunch selection on Sundays, which is different from their weekly menu.
