Holiday Inn Express & Suites Raleigh Durham Airport at Rtp, an IHG Hotel

Everything about our stay was wonderful! The staff were all genuinely friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised by a reception dinner that they do on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Our room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was good. The BEST place I have stayed in years!

Greeted by Diane at the front desk when we arrived. What a pleasant lady! Diane engaged us in good conversation as she efficiently checked us in. The room was clean and well maintained. For the first time ever we tried out the 'Evening Social'. We were very impressed. The food and drink were very good. Our sleep was great with a comfortable mattress and quiet room. We will return if in the future we need a hotel in the area. Thanks for making our stay such a pleasant experience.

This is one of the best hotel stays I've had in a very long time. The staff was friendly, helpful. The shuttle from the airport was convenient and quick. The happy hours were very good. The little dessert treat and refreshing beverage they had near the front desk every afternoon were delightful. The on-site self-serve laundry was very convenient . Overall a fantastic stay all the way around. I will gladly choose to stay here every time I'm on business in RTP. Great value for the price.

This is a great mid-priced hotel. The staff (front desk) was efficient and friendly. Our room was in excellent condition, furnishings & bedding were new and well appointed with a microwave and mini-fridge. Our room was so quiet, and it's an easy on-and-off at I-40. Breakfast choices were very much above-average. Highly recommend for a short stay.

I'm hard to please but I have to say this was a wonderful stay. Customer service was outstanding, room was very clean. They were having Social Night when we got in on Tuesday night. They fed us tacos, wine, beer and finger foods. On Wednesday morning they served a delightful breakfast. We had a great time while here. Thanks to the entire staff for their hard work. Mr. & Mrs. Nathaniel Fitch Sr. We will definitely come back.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel staff is very attentive and courteous. The free breakfast was great.

The location to Duke Hospital facilities was great.

Where to begin!

I received a comp from the owners son.

He was happy with work that my company completed for him, and provided me and my family with two rooms some months back, had an expiration date years out.

I called and gave my info to Ms. Badillo, she checked everything out and got back to me promptly the next morning at 8:30, to confirm my reservation.

If you check my previous reviews on other establishments you’ll see I don’t hold back.

I can definitely tell this location is managed by the Daly family.

Clean room, friendly staff, safe location.

I didn’t have to worry about being bothered by individuals loitering outside in parking lots.

The front lobby was immaculate clean, WITH free chocolate chip cookies!

Did I mention the staff is actually friendly?

If you’re in RDU and need a safe place to lodge, this is definitely it!

With the direction this country has been heading, it good to know that we still have people who take pride in their work and want to provide quality service.

We traveled 9 hours to visit our daughter, who is in a nearby medical facility. From the moment we checked in, until the time we checked out,
the service was the best we have ever had in a hotel. Every single staff member was friendly and helpful. I have never come across friendlier staff in any hotel I’ve stayed in.

The rooms are slightly bigger than other hotels. The rooms were very clean and you can tell the cleaning staff does a good job. We asked once for housekeeping to collect our towels and empty the trash and they came within 5 minutes. We had a slight room problem halfway into our trip and they immediately moved us across the hall and took care of the issue right away.

The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and well maintained. The lobby and dining area have a very cozy feel. The continental breakfast was huge! Eggs, meat, potatoes, bagels, toast, yogurt, cereal, etc. This was a perk for us and saved us from having to buy breakfast.

This is a pet friendly hotel which was a bonus because we brought our two dogs to see our daughter. The price of the hotel is very reasonable and a great value.

I would stay here again if I needed to.

Went for a long weekend. Spacious rooms, great service. Only downfall...lots of traffic noise on the front side of the hotel. We would definitely come back. Central to everything!!!

We loved everything about this hotel. Our check-in was as easy as our check out process. Note that they do take a $25 charge for incidentals, which is not a big deal and correct it when you check out. It actually came in handy when we wanted a late night snack and drink. Anyway, our room was huge, clean and very comfortable to stay for the night. Bathroom was spotless, unlike most hotels; there seems to always be at least a hair on the floor or tub, or rust stains or peeling wallpaper, but not here. The bed had a nice weighted blanket which helps you sleep well. The pillows were so comfy, goose-down feathers, what a treat! I even asked for an extra one to sleep with and that was no problem. The breakfast in the morning was so plentiful. There was something for everyone, biscuits and gravy for this country girl, a pancake griddle with tons of gourmet syrups, omelets, sausage links, potatoes, bagels, toast, a variety of oatmeal and even a variety of grits. I had my favorite, country bacon. I'm not done, there was yogurt, strawberry chex mix, a variety of cereal, a variety of packaged muffins, apples and bananas, hot and gooey pastries, which were disappearing faster than anything and of course a variety of juices, milk and coffee. It was truly a breakfast buffet and a wonderful way to end our stay.

We stayed here when the power went out due to a storm at our house.

The room was comfortable and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and they offered several things to make sure we had what we needed. I didn't realize at the time they had a restaurant / bar and grill in the lobby. I was busy and distracted as well as frustrated with our current situation so I wasn't paying attention because it had signs all over the place for the bar, just me not paying attention to detail. In fact I think they mentioned the bar when I checked in but it went over my head for sure.

It's very close to my house and although it's tucked away behind the lowes and not very visible from the main road, it's a nice place to stay. Very clean nice beds. Very pleased with my stay here and I will have friends and family stay here when they visit and we need extra space.

Before I get to what I didn't like, I need to stress that this hotel had some of the friendliest and nicest staff of any hotel I've ever visited. The manager hosts a reception every evening with free drinks and food, just to get to know the guests. The rooms have recently been remodeled and are spacious, comfortable, beautiful, and, most importantly, extremely functional. My only real gripes have to do with the air conditioning. When I arrived, the thermostat in my room was set to "heat" in the middle of a North Carolina summer. My room was at 89° F. Then, when I woke up the next morning, the room was at a comfortable temperature, but the carpet around the air conditioner was completely soaked. My stay isn't over yet, but Google asked me to write this review now. Hopefully I'll have a chance to update this review later.

Update: I think the reply below from the hotel says it all, but here are some more words from me because I don't want to leave this hanging with any negative connotations.
Turns out they got screwed over by a contractor (see above re: recent renovations) and this is happening in a bunch of rooms, but they're actively working to fix the problem (and wanted to bend over backwards to make me happy). I'm not really sure how they got the carpet so much drier while I was out, maybe magic?

Overall a really positive experience, I've already booked my stay for next week.

Oh, and there's a rooftop pool.

Stayed here for 7 months. The rooms are large and with the recent renovations, like new. Bed was super comfortable. Love the Keurig coffee maker and complimentary coffee. Occasional trains are a bit noisy, but you get used to it. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. Free breakfast and Tue/Wed Managers reception a nice bonus. Internet service good. Swimming pool just completed (5/17).

My best stay by far in the Durham area! The beds are so comfortable and noice is minimal. Very clean and well designed hotel. The breakfast food was Excellent. I loved the Manager’s special! The meatballs and spaghetti with garlic bread was amazing 😉 Staff were so helpful and friendly. I look forward to coming back in the future. I am hoping they bring back the Pancake Madness Managers special.😊

The hotel itself is great. The staff were nice, rooms clean and the new renovation is beautiful. All reasons for the five star.. however the taxi company that you use in place of your shuttle is awful! Both drivers we had, on separate occasions, were rude and seriously lacking on the service end. One driver showed up 30 minutes late after saying saying he'd be there in 10 minutes, leaving my wife and 10 month old standing out in the cold after midnight for 40+ minutes, offering no apology or even bothering to get out to offer help as we loaded 5 bags and a stroller in his van. The man then was consistently swerving on the drive, as he was too busy staring at his phone, and he never said a word to us until the end when I reluctantly gave him a tip. I thought it may have been a one-time experience, but after requesting a shuttle the next day - the hotel again graciously called a taxi - to which we had a new driver but an identical bad experience. All in all a great hotel and experience at the hotel. But please reconsider the taxi company with whom you entrust your guests - as their poor service and experience provided may reflect badly on another guest. We can't be the only ones who've had such an experience. And I know you hold your hotel's service to a higher standard, your preferred taxi company should represent the same.

This was an excellent hotel while we were in town for a wedding. It was conveniently located close to various shopping and food locations. The staff has been very kind and helpful. Breakfast is available in the hotel. The only downside to me was making a U-turn when entering or leaving from a particular direction. Other than that the place is terrific!

My one night stay here was great. I had a single king room on the 2nd floor. The room was very nice, spotless, quiet. The staff was very friendly, especially Calvin and Sophie. I had researched several hotels in the area and decided to try this one. I would absolutely stay here again. No complaints at all.

The room was very spacious, the TV was in one area and the computer desk was separate allowing me to work away from the TV area. The bathroom was clean and so was the rest of the room. My husband was impressed with the gentleman serving breakfast, the man was attentive to all the guests and very pleasant

This is a great property. Bed was comfy, shower was blissful and the breakfast was excellent. Best of all, the room was quiet. Never heard one plane (this is near the airport) and never heard any noises from other rooms/floors.
