They were so responsive and quick to see my pet when he was in distress and I had no way to transport him to a facility. They were gentle and sweet with him and the most compassionate people. I cannot recommend them enough. They were better than my vet who had been seeing him for years. Not only did they quickly assess my pet but they also helped me get him to a top quality urgent care facility during our emergency. Thank you to local mobile vet for all of your help.

There isn't a service in the world that I could possibly rate higher than Local Mobile Vet. In late August, my then 5 year-old lab was diagnosed with kidney failure. She spent 4 days in the hospital receiving fluids, hoping to lower her numbers - hoping to create a new baseline. She returned home and we retested a couple of days later. She was staged 4/4 and she was put on supportive care. That last visit to the vet was really bad. Our lab was shaking almost uncontrollably. She never liked going to the vet, but it had never been quite that bad.

A neighbor recommended Local Mobile Vet. For the then very singular reason that an in-home vet visit would just be better for Evie, we made an appointment. Dr. Ashleigh Caplin and an assistant made the visit. From the very beginning EVERYTHING was better. You'll read lots of reviews about how much better it is for your pet than a trip into what can be a scary place. All of that is almost self-evident. Before they came I knew it would be better for Evie. But it's everything else that really makes the difference. Dr. C's interest in Evie's health was evident right away. While I had read a ton about Evie's condition, I didn't fully understand it. Dr. C was amazingly patient and thorough in both her explanation as well as our possible treatment paths - such a notable difference from our prior vet or the hospital. The email after our visit was nothing short of remarkable; so much detail and explicit instruction - I felt confident and empowered. The responsiveness with additional questions and the follow up visits has been amazing - again, the detail, it's really something.

Evie's 4/4 diagnosis is what it is, but our partnership with LMVS has helped to give us so much time we didn't think we'd have. We're nearing 6 months since she was admitted to the hospital and the prognosis was 14-70 days. Every additional day is a gift and LMVS is a big part of it.

I highly recommend Dr Jackie and her team. We have used them a couple times and always felt great about the care our pets receive. Today I called desperate to get my dog relief from an awful ear infection. He gets them a couple times a year but this time was the worst I’d ever seen. Despite being booked solid they made it work to see him. Not only did they see him same day, they were headed our way within an hour of calling. I’m so very grateful that they were as concerned as I was about my boy suffering longer than he had to. I should also mention that Duke is unkind and rude to them and that never stops them from giving him exceptional care. LMVS has helped our selectively fearful dog be much more accepting of vet visits and treatment. Being able to be seen in our home, instead of a strange environment where she can smell and hear the stress of other animal patients, lets her relax a bit and think about how nice it is that these visitors bring her yummy treats. In addition, the office staff is so helpful and responsive and makes it easy when I need to drop by to pick up meds.

The Local Mobile Vet team are caring, professional folks who bring convenience to you! I appreciate not having to schlep my dog in a car for an appointment, since they come to me. I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait more than 3 days between calling to schedule an appointment and having Dr Jackie show up, and they’ve also worked my dog in the same day when we had more urgent medical needs.

My cats are very fearful about carriers and vet visits so I decided to try a home visit. LMVS were patient and understanding about the whole thing and it was a relief for me that we could do their exams and boosters at home. I don’t know why I worried. They know all about herding cats and have seen these situations before. I highly recommend them .

Helpful and friendly professionals. I admire the Veterinarians and the techs. They are kind and gentle with my dog and me! Each time I’ve had to call the office I received help and it’s a pleasant experience. Never rushed or dismissed. I started with LMV when I had cats and continue working with them now with dog. They are transparent with charges, help find best price for meds, and I’m recommending them for four footed family!

I started with Local Mobile because I had one dog who was TERRIFIED of the Vet's office and another who had mobility issues. The one afraid of the Vet acts like a puppy who has lost all of his manners with excitement when he sees his Vet or the Vet Techs. Anytime they have been ill, I get follow-up calls to ensure that my pup is improving and to ensure we don't have further questions or concerns. This is a group of truly caring, genuine professionals who go above and beyond. If I could give them a higher ranking, I would. 100% recommend.

I already knew Dr. Jenny Parrish as the best vet our cats have had, but she really outdid herself this time! Faced with an out-of-state move with my most skittish cat, I appealed to Jenny, who saved the day with suggestions and solutions for keeping Kitty calm during the entire ordeal. With Jenny's practical support, our many-day car trip was a success and now this most skittish of cats is settling comfortably into a new home. Many thanks to the people of Local Mobile Vet, who are really compassionate and really good at what they do!! Hats off to them!

I have 5 pets, lived in several states and experienced an array of vet clinics in CA, FL, WNC. LMV is legit in its knowledge and capabilities, and Dr. Caplin specifically has gone above and beyond for my fur kids, always fast with results and efficient.

Though surgeries/dentals will need to be done by another vet, LMV makes this process seamless with excellent recommended hospitals.

It’s a bonus that they provide acupuncture and laser treatment. And have excellent and kind receptionists!

Jenny is so great! She is super sweet. kind and professional and we loved the convenience of having her come to our home, so that our animals aren't stressed out by a trip to the vet. She went out of the way to be helpful when our cat was badly injured; even though she couldn't do the surgery, she explained everything to us in a very compassionate way and helped us figure out the treatment plan that was best for us. I could not recommend her more highly!

I love the whole team at Local Mobile Vets. Not having to put my cat in a carrier and get in the car is such a huge relief! That used to stress me out so bad. So grateful that we have a house call veterinary practice here in the Triangle.

Drs Jenny and Jackie are wonderful! I can’t say enough good things about them. I started working with them years ago with my elderly cat, Dr. Jenny was an amazing help through her end of life care. I recently got a puppy, and though he would be fine going to an office - I couldn’t imagine anyone else taking care of my pets! Dr Jackie has been amazing with him - and with all of my crazy questions! They treat their pets and clients like family.

My dog is terrified of going to the vet. Having the vet come to us is a real game changer! The cost is about the same and we love Dr. Jackie, she answers all our questions and is very thorough.

Dr. Caplin and her crew were absolutely amazing!!! Taking 3 pugs to the vet has always been an event. They get stressed, I get stressed, and we end up getting puppuccinos and tequila (for me) to recover. No more thanks to Local Mobile Veterinary Service! The entire visit was done on my front porch, was the same cost as a normal visit, included nail trimmings, and the pugs got peanut butter! I highly recommend these professionals and the service they provide.

Great mobile vet service. Very patient and kind care of my kitties, one of which is quite feral and lives in a chicken coop. Dr. Jackie fearlessly gives Ms. Feral Kitty her shots and other care, even though Ms. Kitty is NOT a big fan of handling. Highly recommend Local Mobile Vet!
