St. Francis Animal Hospital (formerly Angel Animal Hospital)

This place is AMAZING!! I do not have dogs currently but I came here today with my parents as they had to put the family dog down. The care this place gives is incredible. Each one of the staff members here are so caring and genuine! I cannot put into words how wonderful this place has been to my parents as well as their dogs. If I am ever able to own another dog I will certainly bring them here!!❤❤ Thank you so much for everything!! And thank you for taking such good care of Char ❤

We cannot even begin to come up with words to exemplify what a wonderful group of kind, caring, personable, and professional people are at St. Frances. This team has a real love for animals and their people parents. I can’t stress enough that you are NOT just a number here. Dr. Banes is a true visionary in her field and has never stopped looking for answers with our pup that would make a great case study for any veterinary expert. The staff is so kind and welcoming which seems to help my girl not be so scared walking through the door. I think that is all in part to the staff and the atmosphere. I wish I had words that could really do them justice.

Took both of my furry friends today! One of my dogs had never been to the vet before, and I was worried about how both of them would react. The staff washed all my worries away and helped make me and my dogs feel as welcome and comfortable possible. Very nice staff and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!! :)

My partner and I adore this vet!! They took our sick kitten in when no other vet in Durham would, they are so kind, and they always remember you and your pets. I have nothing but great things to say about them, and I recommend them to everyone I know! Reasonable prices, as well!

I didn't go to have any of my dogs treated at the facility I went there to pick up a new member to our family. The young lady that works at the facility raise these dogs The puppy is a female Maltese. She is 8 weeks old and her name is Sadie.

We were so impressed by our recent visit to Angel Animal Hospital. Unfortunately, our pup was at the end of her journey after a long and happy life, but the entire team handled our visit and follow ups with understanding, grace, and compassion. They were also incredible with our 3 and 5 year olds - providing activities for them to do while the vet checked our dog and sending home a wonderful coloring book about remember our pet after she passed. I would highly recommend the whole team, especially if you have young children.

Our vet! The entire staff is the best! We have two huskies and a cat! They always inform us, never pressure, and spend all the extra time with all our questions! They treat our pets like their own!

Friendly staff. They have always taken great care of my cats. This time my furbaby was very sick and the tough decision had to beade to let him go. Care and compassion in difficult times was much appreciated. Fantastic vet practice.

I’m babysitting my best friend’s pupperoni Todd & not more than 24 hrs into my visit, he broke a nail! Thank goodness Angel Animal Hospital was able to get us in the same day. We got really lucky. They loved on lil’ munchkin Todd & got him fixed up. I’m really grateful they were prompt. I was worried his paw would get infected. Definitely recommend this vet! The whole staff is amazing & very caring 💗💗💗.

I can't say enough good things about the Dr and staff of this facility. My cat was having breathing issues. I took to my regular vet, Sebastián was so stressed, they couldn't test his blood, so I took him home, they were supposed to schedule a home visit which didn't happen. As Friday approached he was getting worse. I called several vets and a home visit places, no openings, No new patients!!! I was so worried!
I came across St. Francis, and called, they took us in, ran tests, Dr. Banes was at hospital but she went out of her way to come look at Sebastián's x-rays. He had fluid on his heart and has congestive heart failure. He's being treated with meds and it's been almost 2 months. They are helpful when I call, they put the animals first. And are very knowledgeable.

Great affordable Service for an emergency situation. I am extremely happy with the new vet who has taken over. My dad's Chihuahua was attacked by another dog and needed to have his eye removed other vets quoted over twice the cost that we were charged and the surgery went well and Tippy is doing great!

Absolutely the best veterinary experience ever. The doctor and staff are the nicest and most understanding group I have ever met. I recommend whole heartedly. Such expertise, such great people. Can't give enough praise!

Kind, caring, competent. This is a heart-centered business run by human beings who are nonjudgmental, love animals, and prioritize the comfort and health of their clients. Prices are humane, and if cost is a concern, they will patiently help you make your decisions.

I can’t say enough great things about Dr Banes and Angel Animal Hospital. She has been incredibly compassionate with my dear Henry who is a tabby cat who we recently found out has lymphoma. After thinking it was a minor upper respiratory infection, Dr Banes realized he had a potential tumor behind his eye. It took a while to figure it out but she didn’t give up on Henry or I. This led to a referral at NC State who confirmed the tumor via a CT scan. Through out it all, Dr Banes checked in on Henry and provided advice with hospice. She will be helping us send him over the rainbow bridge, and there’s no one else I would want helping during this time.

And when I called about Henry’s final appointment, they were so considerate and compassionate, scheduling me for a day and time that was less busy to ensure we have a peaceful goodbye.

We've been taking our dogs to see Dr. Bonnie as long as she's been at this location, and I've been very impressed with the quality of care that she provides. She takes whatever time is necessary to explain things and is very thoughtful when considering different treatment options. She also recently supported us through the loss of one of our senior dogs and even sent a hand-written sympathy card. In addition to her compassionate care, the office seems to run very smoothly, and the prices are much more reasonable than the other vets we've visited in Durham. Highly recommend.

I took my 9-month old American Bully in for her first vet visit and was so happy with the quality of service we received! All of the techs were so friendly, and Dr. Angel was so patient & kind to my Coco Chanel. I was nervous about her first visit but Angel Animal Hospital definitely alleviated my concerns as we got through the appointment. They take their time, explain everything to you as they are going, and any questions/concerns you may have are addressed thoroughly! We are happy to have a new vet home!

Dr. Bonnie Angel and her staff have provided competent and compassionate care for all of my dogs and cats, since she opened her practice in Durham. I am so evangelical about the amazing veterinary and grooming services that we have received that I have convinced countless friends, neighbors and family members to give her a try. All of them are also loyal converts to the practice. She performed a challenging surgery on a family member's dog and saved his mobility. It was also thousands of dollars less than his traditional veterinarian. She goes above and beyond for her patients and their families. I've never seen a more caring and responsive vet. Can't recommend Angel Animal Hospital enough!! ❤❤❤

My dog Bella needed emergency attention. Haley at Angel Animal hospital picked up the phone and walked me through the process with the sweetest disposition. She was calm and understanding as she made an appointment for the same day. When I arrived, Haley was so gentle with Bella. Dr. Angel came in and diagnosed the issue with speed, and grace. The staff at Angel really knows there way around pets. There is a clear sense that the care of your pet is far more important than the bill. It's as if they already know that you will do anything for your pet, but you don't want to be taken advantage of financially. This is not just a job to the staff at Angel, it's a calling. Thank You so much for your great care this morning!

We love Angel Animal Hospital. After being up all night with a dog that appeared to be in pain and shaking, we took her into Angel Animal Hospital and found out that she was having severe anxiety. We were so grateful that they did not try to run a ton of unnecessary tests but still gave a very high standard of care to our pup and helped us figure out how to help manage the dog’s issue. We have been back now for yearly exams and hands down are very impressed and excited to have a Vet who truly cares.

Angel Hospital, soon to be St. Francis Animal Hospital, is the best. My cat, Morgan, seemed to be on his last legs when we made our appointment.

From the start, we were treated with kindness and respect which was calming for us both.

Morgan is not an animal that does well out of his home enivironment, However, after treatment, he fell asleep in his bed, while we waited for test results.

The office is a judgement free zone and the doctor's philosophy seems to be "do what works".

He is feeling much better today and the doctor had no objections to me giving him his meds in Vienna saugages.

In addition, I'm am retired and we discussed affordable
options prior to treatment.
