I have been seeing Cyndi for several years, now at Bella Trio Salon in Downtown Durham. The Salon is very nice and comfortable. Cyndi is very talented, attentive, and consistently delivers excellent results. She has been a stylist for over 30 years. Her color skills are excellent. Whether I'm getting highlights or a full color, she uses high-quality products to ensure nice long-lasting results. She listens to my ideas and offers helpful advice to keep my hair looking vibrant and healthy. She did a beautiful up do for my friend's prom too! Bella Trio offers good products as well, and wax services, so a one-stop shop in downtown Durham.

I’ve been going to Bella Trio and seeing Cyndi for almost a year now. I started out just having cut and styles and have since added glaze color to my visits. We’ve gone through and come up with fun cuts and fabulous color working together. Cyndi gets that sometimes I want to do something spontaneous and rolls with it. She has also been extremely kind and gracious. I have generalized anxiety and when I am anxious, I worry at my scalp. Cyndi has always been sensitive and has never made me feel uncomfortable. I always come out of our visits feeling confident. That’s the reason I keep coming back to her and the reason I bring my equally anxious 10 year old to her as well.

Bella Trio itself is a fabulous salon. The stylists are all very friendly and have great senses of humor. The interior is clean and well appointed. And it’s just enjoyable to be there. The location cannot be beat. Don’t worry about DPAC shows or baseball games. Just tell the attendants you’re there for a haircut. I’ve never had trouble parking in the parking deck right off of the salon.

Annie did an absolutely amazing job coloring my hair, and gave me pretty much exactly what my reference pictures were!! On top of everything she was the sweetest human and made the experience fun

Started with Cyndi right after COVID and have since seen her every 8-10 weeks for base breaks and highlights. My hair was in rough shape when we started and she suggested cutting in a way that slowly got rid of the damage and allowed me to get STYLE back into my hair. Receive many compliments from friends and strangers on my hair these days, which was not happening before. Highly recommend Cyndi for her guidance, experience and technical skills. Trust Cyndi when she says your hair is damaged - she'll help you get back to beautiful healthy hair and a flattering style. It may take a few trims but the result is worth it!

Cyndi has always been an amazing stylist for me! She knows how to work curly hair. She’s the first person I have worked with that has given me real honest advice with my hair and helped me get it healthy again! Seriously a too notch employee! Would recommend and have recommended to friends!

My stylist Cindy is great! She makes my thin hair look fuller with an excellent cut. She is easy to talk to and gives advice how to style my hair at home to get that same Hairsalon result. I see her on a 6 week interval for a little over one year.

It was my first hair salon experience in Durham, and Ashley was one of the sweetest people I've ever met. She took care of me, provided information about my hair at every step, and asked how I wanted it done. It was one of the best cuts I've ever had, and her blowout was fantastic. She also did the exact same hairstyle that I showed in the video. I definitely recommend her, it was a perfect experience!

My experience with Kara T at this salon was truly exceptional! Despite booking a last-minute appointment to address highlights I recently received and really disliked, Kara was incredibly accommodating and willing to work with me until I felt confident in my hair again. She's an amazing stylist, and I highly recommend her services!

If you have curly hair and live in the Triangle, then I’ll let you in on a secret pro tip: Go see Ally at Bella Trio Salon in downtown Durham. Not only does Ally have curly hair herself (naturally), but she is a super fun bubbly person who loves getting to know her clients.

Long story short, I had a nightmare hairdresser - in pre pandemic Durham - who I quit going to because my last visit my stylist was training someone and I’m pretty sure they were laughing at my hair loss. Super awful! Also they promoted Deva Curl which we now know is link to hair loss!!

Anyway, sick of cutting my own hair after four years I lucked into Bella Trio Salon and got hooked up with Ally. I told her about my previous salon experiences and she totally got it. I was nervous and embarrassed to share that, but if you can’t share with your hair dresser who can you share with, right?

So she was just super, super supportive and helped me figure out products that were right for me, including serum to help with hair growth. She also gave me a bangin hair cut that boosted my confidence BIG TIME!

A lot of people with curls want long hair which I get and so do I, but I’ve also figured out from Pinterest that a flatteringly shaped mid cut takes years off your face. Seriously much more youthful. Ally gets it. My husband likes long hair (do all men? No shade!) but he was SOOO effusive about my new style that it gave me a double confidence boost.

Only great things to say about Ally. Go see her! Just don’t take my appointment time lol :)

Several years ago Cyndi Blackwood moved to Durham from Florida for family reasons. She was hired by Bella Tria Durham and immediately found a home. She has built up quite a following. She's very professional, knowledgeable, personable and accommodating. She quickly became my go-to. She's quick to offer advice both on styling and after care, offering her expertise on hair products that work for each of her clients. She gives the best shampoos, massaging my scalp until I'm practically moaning. Not only that, but she took time to accompany me to the Duke Cancer Center to help with my wig selection and styling following chemo treatments. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist who is classy, personable and knowledgeable.

This was such an amazing experience! I had not colored my hair before and loved how educational and knowledgeable Kyndall was! She walked me through everything and provided great recommendations. I absolutely love my hair! And I really liked that she taught me the best way to care and manage it. You can tell they are all about the client experience and enjoy what they do. Even listening to other hair stylist interact with their clients, everyone was welcoming and kind. The front desk folks were so positive and nice. Overall it was a great experience. The place was very clean and they took the COVID protocols seriously, which I appreciated. The design of the location was really neat and modern. (Though parking in downtown is what it is). Am happy to have found this place!!! Highly satisfied (and I am quite picky).

This was by far my favorite haircut that I have ever had. My stylist was amazing and sweet. She really listened to what I wanted. And the shampoo wasn't just a shampoo. It was an amazing massage that was so relaxing. She also showed me how to style my hair so that it looks the same whether I'm coming out of the salon or doing it myself at home. I wouldn't say it's pricey but it's more than I usually spend on a haircut. But it's totally worth it. I use the $20 off coupon at the bottom of the website so the haircut that would have normally cost me $65 only cost me $45.

Bella Trio’s downtown location is amazing. Clean, comfy, and tons of products available. I’ve gotten my haircut by several stylists at the downtown and RTP locations, and honestly have only had 1 haircut I didn’t like. But the BEST haircut I got was with Pelham. Let me count the ways I love him!! So friendly, makes you feel relaxed (the scalp massage was heaven), and he really listens to what you want. I’ve been describing the hairstyle I’ve wanted forever, but Pelham gave me everything I wanted and more!! Gave me great advice on products (without pushing them) and how to get my hair more healthy. Definitely go see him!

I've been a loyal client at this salon for over 5 years so when my daughter decided she wanted to shave the side of her head I didn't think twice about where to take her! Lauren and Tiffany are just two of many amazing stylists who make this place amazing!

Had an incredible facial with Savannah! I've had facials all over the world but this was one of the best I've ever experienced. It was relaxing, therapeutic, and my skin is still glowing. Had a shampoo/style with Dallas too who was also fantastic! I would highly recommend Bella Trio. Thanks for a great experience!

Ashley is awesome! Have been twice for a haircut and both times have been great, I’m often in and out in a perfect amount of time. Ashley is friendly, skilled AND knowledgeable, and listens to your preferences (and remembers!). The salon is also bright, clean, and modern, and it’s in a great walking/shopping area with ample parking. Would highly recommend.

I've been a client of Bella Trio Studio for over a year now and have enjoyed every time I've been there! Lauryn does such amazing hair and always makes me feel beautiful whenever I leave the salon. She's truly a gem! Janine has been my esthetician for a while now and I love how patient and knowledgeable she is in her field. She is so easy-going and is so sweet! I'd like to also give a shout out to Cathy who is lovely and so welcoming!

I absolutely love this salon! Everyone is so friendly and the studio itself is very clean. Pelham has done my hair several times now and every time he absolutely nails it! The first time I saw him, he corrected a horrible red brown box dye job I did during COVID. He listened to my hair goals of being back to my natural color base with brunette balayage and that’s the look I’m currently at now. I got my hair done yesterday and been stopped several times about my hair since!
