I am from the New York-New Jersey area, and I can tell you that this is a high quality bakery!! You can tell by the way the croissant flakes off, its the highest quality and freshest ingredients possible. All of the pastries that I had were very, very good, my wife had a ham and cheese and pesto sandwich on a croissant, she said it was extremely good because the ingredients were high quality and very fresh. That’s what made it taste so delicious. Though the owner (a French baker) retired, the staff continued his high quality and continues to uses his French recipes.
A very friendly staff made the whole experience a delight!!
We will definitely be back again. Though, I do wish that they put more chocolate in the chocolate croissants. I’m a bit of a chocoholic!!

A Charming place to get authentic French desserts, pastries and breads. The interior is cutely decorated with the tables being old repurposed sewing machine tables. The owner is almost always on hand. This is a family business owned by locals. There's no better place in Durham to spend your money.

Wonderful local bakery! I highly recommend their pumpernickel bread, but everything is amazing. Their service was warm and welcoming, they even graciously gave us free cookies to try. Please come and support this local Durham business.

I stepped into this place and it was like I was back in Europe. Not quite France because the owner is way too polite!! Their croissants are just flat out the best I have ever had! But my passion in bread and this place does not disappoint.

Went in at noon and fresh baguettes were coming out of the oven. YUM. Has a decent selection of drinks and I got a chocolate bread for later.

I came across this bakery on a hunt for a large fruit tart for a work gathering to celebrate a dear co-worker who was moving on to a new venture. Nora was helpful, kind and able to accommodate my scheduling needs. I ended up ordering two, and they were a hit. Everyone kept asking where I got the tarts and raving about about how delicious they were. They were so popular that I was asked to bring the same fruit tarts for another co-worker's celebration. My team loves these. They have been quickly gobbled up twice! Nora and her staff are welcoming and friendly, and take pride in their creations. The bakery is full of beautiful pastries, breads and aromas. The sourdough baguette and tiramisu are delicious! I will continue to support this bakery and recommend to friends and family.

We came in after a horrible exam week, and asked for a focaccia loaf. She took it upon herself to warm it, and give us some complementary, (very tasty) pesto. Outstanding service, outstanding food, outstanding bakery.! We’re coming back here many times!!!

Yum! We stopped by today for the first time and picked up a few items to try later at home — focaccia (delicious), a lemon bar, and cannoli. All of it was fantastic! My daughter also loved her chocolate chip cookie. The employees were very kind and friendly. We will definitely be back to try more!

My mom and daughter introduced me to this cute bakery shop. Antique sewing machines and eclectic chairs for seating. The employees were awesome, and the food AMAZING. I had the Blueberry mini tart and also bought macaroons and Jalapeno cheddar foccacia. Mom and daughter had pan au chocolat(chocolate croissant).

I love local. Their baked goods are delicious. Their little quiche and fruit pies are too good to not want more. They have quiches and loaves of bread they sell. Their little bakery has seats that were old sewing desks. It's very quaint and homey. Their staff is very helpful and kind.

Lovely coffee and pastry shop. Nice purisian vibe. The lattes and all the baked goods that I have tried are wonderful and tasty. The decor has old Paris vibes and is cozy.

I was in town for a drs appt. Finding this place was divine! We had ham and cheese croissants which were so fresh and delicious. We also had fruit turnovers and a cannoli, equally outstanding. Chef Norma was so friendly and takes great pride in her creations.

I ordered the avocado toast and it was delicious the bread had the perfect toast crunchiness and the egg was cooked to near perfection with fresh ingredients. Customer service was on point and I did not have a long wait.

I've been coming to this bakery since it opened with the last owner and have never been disappointed with any of their items. The current owner is always super sweet. Everything has always tasted fresh. My go-tos are the éclairs, almond croissants, macarons and tiramisu.

Bonjour! Let your nose be your guide as the smell of freshly baked breads and pastries whisk you into this authentic French bakery in northern Durham. The location on Pointe Drive is a bit hard to find but if you see the McDonalds and shopping strip with blue signs, you are in the right area. Master Chef Benjamin greets you with a jovial Bonjour. Upon entering the cafe, you will see frames with Parisian icons, the open bakery with large ovens and the chef himself kneading the dough. The fresh breads are displayed in a case at the front and descriptions on a chalk board menu. It is a family-run business with everyone playing their part. I love the Singer sewing machine tables and heavy wooden tables in the back where you can sit and enjoy your treats and coffee. The chairs are covered with a fleur-de-lis burlap and there is French music playing in the background. There was a constant stream of customers and I heard Benjamin say they opened at 9am on Saturday and were sold out of baguettes by 9:30. We waited for him to put in the next batch and enjoyed a savory croissant in the meantime. I would say the croissant here the best of any bakery I have been to in the Triangle. The baguette was well worth the wait and I can see why Durhamites flock to this new bakery. The cranberry nut bread is also a favorite of mine. They are closed on Sundays so stock up on other days. Everything was superb and until next time....
