I bought a car from here last month and was very happy with the whole process. All the paperwork and inspections were done correctly. They were upfront and honest about the condition of the vehicle. They even put it up on the lift so we could take a better look at it. I would definitely purchase a car from here again. Thanks, guys.

I am not one to write reviews but I believe it is necessary to post the experience with Abdul at Chicago Auto Sales in Durham. Abdul has been one of the best if not the best used car salesman I have ever dealt with and I have dealt with many. My first impression of Chicago Auto Sales was a no frills, no nonsense car lot with quality cars. My daughter was looking for a reliable and safe car that gets good gas mileage. We test drove a 2015 Nissan Versa and it was everything Abdul said it was. Abdul was willing to negotiate a price that worked out for everyone. In closing I would say if you want to a great deal on a great car go see Abdul at Chicago Auto Sales in Durham. If you want to get over charged and have buyers remorse continue to go somewhere else like a big box Auto Sales Stealership.

I purchased a 2016 Grand Caravan from Chicago Auto Sales in 2018, it is still going strong, it ran really well the first 2 years, had minor repairs since then such as battery and hose replacement, but the engine and transmission are still strong here in 2022! Highly recommend!

Purchased a vehicle from here today. It was a very easy and pleasant experience. The owner and everyone on the lot were beyond friendly and reasonable. Never felt like I was being pressured.

If you’re reading the reviews after finding a listing on Craigslist like I did then definitely give them a shot.

We found the vehicle on Facebook Marketplace and he went above and beyond to communicate with us, send a video, the vin, and answer any questions we had. He also removed the listing to give us time to drive from Virginia Beach to Durham to look at it and drive it. The process was painless and he was very honest.

Buying a vehicle from this dealership was a disaster from start to finish. Not only were they difficult to work with just two weeks after I bought the vehicle the engine light came on. When inspected by a professional several different issues were found. First, it seems as if codes and inspections were passed without actually addressing the issues. Secondly, entire parts of the underbody of the car were rusted way past what anyone would consider safe to drive.

Once I returned and spoke with Abdul I was only met with disrespect and apathy. He told me if I was unhappy with the rust to figure out a way to sell the car myself.

Very bad experience here. Bought a car that I thought was a great reliable one because I was told it was. He cleared the check engine light just to sell, the car has rust all on the bottom which I was unaware of at the time of buying it. I went back to see if there was anything to be done and the guy working there was very rude and blunt with me about how it was not his problem anymore. I will be reporting him to the BBB

This place is horrible sold me a car for 4200$ and two days later check engine light comes on. Hyundai dealership states needs a new transmission. This place is completely disrespectful and doesn’t deserve to have a dealer license if they sell cars like this. I also want to point out that if there was a proper inspection done on the car, as it is required by NC state law to have this done before selling, they would’ve found the not ready codes and failed it. My guess is they have bogus inspector in Durham doing illegal inspection for them. DO NOT GO HERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!

AVOID AT ALL COST! Sold us is a lemon! Purchased for $4,200 and 3 days later the check engine light comes on. Whats wrong with the car you ask? Hyundai says $4,500 worth of transmission issues. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Horrible business and I am taking it upon myself to let all of NC know that you should not bring your money here. Plenty of other reputable dealerships out there but this is not one of them. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I went to see a vehicle and left a deposit. I noticed the vehicle had not passed inspection in over a year. I asked for that to be done before I paid in full for it. Due to it not passing inspection, they refused to sell the vehicle to me and they sold it to someone else. They definitely have some questionable practices. It is my understanding that legally if a dealership is selling a vehicle it must have passed inspection before they sell it. I will be reporting them for illegal activities.

I purchased a car from this lot on Saturday and i am saddened to report my car was not inspected prior to sale nor was i given a temporary plate, Inspection prior to sale is a law in north carolina and i am now running around trying to get my car up to pass inspection in order to make it street legal. Very bad management in place. would not recommend.
