Costco Pharmacy

About a month ago there was a mix-up with the notification system. They said they had my ADHD meds, but when I went to pick them up they weren't ready. The pharmacists were incredibly accommodating. One of them said, "I'm so sorry. My daughter has ADHD too. I know how much something like this can ruin your whole week; especially with the shortage going on. My name is X, and I'll be here until Y today. I'll be working on getting it sorted out for you".

Most other pharmacies treat me like crack head or some other kind of drug seeker. The way I'm treated as a result of the stigma of taking stimulant medication is a huge chunk of the battle for me some days. I'm really grateful for the kindness and professionalism of those working here.

Just don’t have to need a service dog, they question you at door and have no regard for Hippa law privacy . The pharmacy itself is kind helpful just at the door at Costco is a bunch of embarrassing knuckle heads. I don’t have to explain myself why I need a service dog. My dog is uniformed service dog , they ask me is it a service dog how does help you . It’s none of your business, I was going to pharmacy and they wanted to know what meds needed at how they helped me, knuckleheads at door my dog is a prescription!

Staff so nice! I spoke to Wendi and Jordan and they we're both so kind and helpful! Also they have a program to save money on prescriptions for dogs! The meds for my pup that cost $129 at rite aid cost only $13 there!!! Thank you so much! Great job:)

These people are amazing. If only insurance companies and doctors’ offices employed people so helpful and understanding of your medical needs. Love my Durham Costco ❤

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experiences at the Costco pharmacy in Durham. I found the pharmacist kind, quite capable of his job, as well as impartial to any information other than what he is given by patients' doctors and the rules and strict laws must abide by. For example, it's not the pharmacist's big scheme to profile the ridiculously condescending customers that may think they're above the law. No matter how many $5 scripts or bags of chips(! Big spender!) you purchase from Costco (I.e., not money this hard-working man sees even a penny of), IF YOUR NAME IS SPELLED INCORRECTLY ON YOUR SCRIPT, IT IS AGAINSY THE LAW TO FILL THE ORDER IF IT DOES NOT MATCH YOUR ID 100%, ESPECIALLY IF IT IS A SCHEDULED NARCOTIC! So kudos for this patient pharmacist for all day, every day, dealing with jerks that are so entitled to think that "the customer is always right" means an obvious drug addict can pay no attention to any of the laws regulating prescription drug distribution and just take a big old dump on a "lowly pharmacist" just because. (Clearly, Im referring to the tool that wrote the previous review. What a total buttmunch. The fact that he seriously thinks the one person who stood up to him BECAUSE OF THE GODDAM LAW, owes him an apology, inducates this is one sick individual, as in a sociopath whose definitely never had a customer service job. What job does he even have??? Does he not know how much work goes into getting a pharmacy degree? Yeah, it's no cake-walk. A PhD at some universities is quite comparable to an MD. But I'm sure the previous reviewer hasn't been exposed to this level of education. Because man, what an idiot!)

Swear to god, if everyone at Costco refuses to apologize to this fool, and even better, refuses to serve him at all (honestly, what he doesn't realize is that the police should have been called in his situation to take his belligerent ass to jail), I will donate an extra $15/month directly to Costco or whatever a case of Mountain Dew and a bottle of Vicoden costs, just so we can remove that loser all together. Everyone, including the Internet, and will be so much better off.

Great staff. Can use pharmacy even if you aren't a Costco member just sign in at front entrance and ask to use pharmacy! They have some speciality medicines other pharmacies don't or when other pharmacies run out.

The staff has always been very helpful and cordial.

Been unable to get my medication for 3 months b/c they are always out.
1st call to another pharmacy was more help than I ever got at Costco.

Horrible experience here today. I am a local veterinarian with DEA license in good standing and able to prescribe controlled drugs and carry them in my clinic . My dog has severe bronchitis,so I went in with a prescription for Hydrocodone cough syrup, the only effective cough suppressant for dogs. The pharmacist refused to fill it because it was for my own pet !?! He said I should get another vet to write one???I own my clinic and work by myself. So I am supposed to take my contagious dog to some clinic and pay for exam to get him some meds.I will never use your pharmacy and will tell my clients to go elsewhere also.

Went to Costco pharmacy on 1/9/16 at about 4:30 pm. Dropped off my prescription there like I've done in the past about 50 times at least , usually have no problems at all , have been using them for about 2 years. My doctor always misspelles my last name , he just does , every single time - and it was NEVER an issue until tonight , when not only the incredible rude , disrespectful , non perfossional pharmacist told me that having the last name misspelled simply "Wouldn't cut it " and also pointed out to me that I had last month filled out my prescription at a different pharmacy , as I sometimes but rarely do depending on conscience and what my schedule is . The rude man told me that I was attempting to fill the prescriptions 2 weeks early. Well this was absolutely false information as I 10 minutes later went to a grocery store pharmacy and they filled it with no questions asked this individual was just incredibly irresponsible and non professional with me tonight , and seemed to be profiling me as trying to do something illigetimite when that was never the case , his information was false and I will be calling costcos corporate office to complain personally on his individual as he obviously isn't doing his job right and treating loyal CASH paying customers like their second class citizens and or a junkie trying to falsely obtain prescriptions , he saw my chart , he knew i had been there every month , he saw what prescriptions Costco fills for me , he just didn't want to do his job that moment. Just for you're information sir you're a pharmacist , not a doctor , know you're position. I hope that you change you're behavior and start treating you're loyal customers that pay a toll to shop at these establishments with a little respect instead of shrugging me off like you did tonight, I will never fill another prescription or buy another bag of chips from this or any pther Costco location until I get a personal apology and some sort of accomadation for the complete waste of time this man was to me tonight , you will hear from me again , know you're position , know who you work for the CUSTOMER. Absolute despicable, very disappointed in this exporence I used to like Costco , not anymore and not as long as this individual is working with this ATTITUDE
