Parking Garage I (Trent Drive): Duke Medical Circle Parking Garage

If you come to Duke enough you know how parking garages are.....crowded and people do NOT know how to park on lower levels. My suggestion because this is what I always do...go to levels 4 or 5. So much better. Might I add the view from level 5 is amazing!! You can see Duke Chapel. And if you have a late appointment especially in the fall or winter when it gets dark early, sunsets can be spectacular up there. Just my opinion but I frequent this parking garage quite a bit as a patient. Hope this helps someone. They do also have Valet Parking here at this location as well. You must enter the hospital by going down to level 1 on the elevator to be screened at the door. Everyone at Duke is so friendly though it's a breeze. Just take your ticket with you if you park yourself so you can pay at the pay station before you get back on the elevator to leave the garage.

12/18/2023: Great place to park for an appointment at the Duke Cancer Center. Make sure to take your parking ticket to pay after leaving the building before entering the parking garage.

They have a great system for helping find open spaces quickly

The garage does fill-up pretty quickly, so be ready to park on the upper levels if you come later in the day.

Very nice that spaces have a ceiling mounted signal to indicate if it is occupied (red)or empty (green) and handicap empty (blue.) Makes it possible for vehicles to move more efficiently. The sign at the entrance indicating the number of spots available on each floor is also very nice. Tells you directly each floor and how many available spots there are.

Easy to enter and exit, and close to the medical center

Nice area to park but could not get out because I kept putting my ticket in wrong...I had to get someone who worked there to let me out. My ticket had to be put in the machine upside down.🤦🤦🤦

If you love parking, this place is for you!

We have spent way more time there than we wanted to, but Duke Hospital saved my wife's life!

Only parking deck around that I can fit my truck in. Typically plenty of spaces. Let's you know how many openings on each floor.

Awesome time saver with overhead lights indicating which spaces are available.

Really near where you want to be. On the 2nd level you have a 2nd level indoor ramp. It allows you to come in from the parking deck to indoors out of the weather. How cool is that?

Pretty easy in and out, just a little bit of a bottleneck during certain times of the day with paying parking fees

I can never find my car when I leave u only 20 minutesit find were you're parked if you're not there u have 2 pay an additional fee

I like the tunnel under the street that connects the ramp with the hospital. Very convenient and secure.

The available parking space notification system is great .
