I was recommended to go to Maggie by my sister and of course my sister did not steer me wrong. I have had natural hair for 5 years which I have taken care of on my own. I was looking for a stylish up do for me wedding. Maggie did an incredible job on my hair with a great wash, conditioning my hair which also included a steam treatment. She then gave me a silk press(which I had never had before) and then curled my hair. She worked with hair to decide on a style I would like for my wedding. My hair felt like silk! I was very impressed with her hair expertise. I am way beyond satisfied and I know my hair will look fabulous for my wedding.

The Lather Lounge is meticulous. That was my first impression walking through the door. Maggie, owner and stylist, is a true hair artist. My style lasted for days, the cut was precise, and my hair smelled wonderful for hours and glorious hours. I loved the result of the professional products. Maggie gave me personalized tips on how to best care for hair. Rare in my experiences. I've paid twice as much for the same service in other salons. Mostly, I was disappointed because the result was no better than my struggle attempts to do my own hair. This review is after my first visit and no expectations. I hope Maggie is not too busy to have me as a regular client! Grateful.

I was in Durham for a visit and needed to get my hair done. I simply googled salons with good reviews and found the Lather Lounge and I was not disappointed! Maggie was amazing. She focused both on the health of my hair and also styled it perfectly. She also gave me great advice! She is very kind and personable. I absolutely recommend the Lather Lounge!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Maggie. I have never had a silk press last for three weeks. Please note I work out about 5- 6 days a week. Maggie answered all my questions and didn't seem rushed. The atmosphere was calming, and overall it was a great experience. There was no wait or extended service time, and I was in and out. The conversation was pleasant, and I was thankful for the referral. I've been to MANY people in the triangle, and I can guarantee you Maggie is among the best.

My stylist in Maryland recommended Maggie to me when I was traveling to Durham. High praise - to have another stylist recommend you! She lived up to and exceeded expectations. Maggie is knowledgeable of all hair issues and tailors her products and services to client needs. I've had her do my relaxer more than once and she's outstanding. Maggie is an outstanding stylist, as well as a warm and caring person. She is a real pleasure to work with. I trust her with my hair when I am in Durham, and highly recommend her.

Today was the very first time I've visitef the Lather Lounge. I must say, Maggie is nothing short of amazing!!! She is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to hair care. She gave me the best trim I've had in 3 years and I'm going to be a loyal customer from here on because I trust her to nurse my hair back to health. Not to mention, I got the location mixed up and she was kind enough to drive from Cary to Durham just for me! Maggie is awesome and I'm so glad to officially call her my new stylist!!

This weekend was my first time visiting Maggie. I absolutely love my hair. The color came out great and my hair is so soft. Been trying to manage my natural hair for years and not getting the results I want. Maggie is very knowledgeable about the health of your hair. The customer service was fabulous! I moved to Durham a few months ago, and I was looking for a hair salon that was affordable and convenient. Lather Lounge is both. Maggie does a great job with my hair, and has helped me take good care of it. The prices are definitely affordable, especially since I just graduated from. Also, I appreciate that she is willing to work with me to schedule an appointment. My work schedule gets really busy, but Maggie works with me to get schedule an appointment. I really appreciate Maggie and her hair salon. I would definitely recommend it!

Maggie has been doing my hair for almost a year now and I am blown away by the healthy transformation my hair has made in such quick time. It’s a blessing for me to have found a true professional who takes the time to be sure my hair gets the attention it needs AND she makes sure I’m educated on best ways to maintain my healthy hair in between visits. Maggie, has been my stylist for almost 10 years now. She is amazing. She is also very prompt, professional, and educated stylist. Not to mention that she gives the best blow outs!
