We could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish. Mrs. Pam is an absolute jewel. She has a gentle, calm and reassuring presence about her that is such a relief and a welcome. The entire staff were respectful, kind and attentive. When the time comes for us to need arrangements again, we will absolutely be using Burthey.

Truly a heart-centered, family owned business. The Burthey Funeral Service team (especially Mrs Burthey) provided my family and I with so much expert advice, insight, care, and support throughout the entire process of transferring my brother’s remains from another state to the service and cremation. Our family was truly pleased with the services and support provided by the staff at Burthey Funeral Services. Pam did an excellent job of helping us with every detail of the planning and arrangements. Her attention to detail, prompt follow-up, and knowledge of local resources made the whole process run smoothly. We really felt supported by her and the staff from start to finish.

In addition to the funeral arrangements, the staff did a fantastic job presenting the body of our loved one. They requested pictures and they really made our loved one look as we remembered her. They are truly gifted in this area.

The day of the service, the Burthey staff was on-time, professional, and respectful of our needs and wishes. Grover did an excellent job facilitating the process and made travel from our home to the church to the grave site a smooth process. They ushered our family throughout the process so we did not have to think about anything but celebrating the life of our loved one.

We really could not have picked a better funeral service to plan and execute the services for our loved one. We would highly recommend their services to anyone who is looking for a professional, affordable, experienced, and well-run funeral service.

Probably the most honest review I will write. (My grandfather passed away on August 16th We had his service on the 20th.) This is the first time my family has dealt with anything like this & Burthey Funeral Home was recommended through family. I can’t even begin how much these people cared about our family & my grandfather’s dignity. They walked us through planning the services & followed up with us multiple times a day, every day leading up to the service.
I’ve been to very few funerals/viewings. I have anxiety & I never been to a service where the person was someone I was very close to. Burthey Funeral Home made this whole experience unbelievably peaceful. I didn’t cry. I didn’t feel anxiety, but I felt comfort. They also made sure COVID guidelines were followed. My grandfather: He looked amazing. As cliche as this sounds, He looked as if he was sleeping. My grandfather lost weight & I couldn’t believe how they made him look the same way before he got sick. I even touched him many times & he didn’t feel so cold. He felt as if he was under the A/C. My family & I even said he had a little smirk on his face because he looked very sharp 😂.. I miss my grandfather, but I’m so glad we were able to lay him to rest the way we did. He would’ve been soooooo proud. The staff felt like family. I forgot we were doing “business”. I can not thank them enough. ❤ Thanks for all you do!

They were more than respectful they were very helpful. They were very nice fair pricing, and I was always able to contact someone I would recommend them .

The services provided by Burthey Funeral Services are done with care, respect, and attention to details and the needs of the family. They take care of all your needs and they do it with class. Their services continue on well after the funeral is over. Thank you for all you do during a tough time of loss and afterwards. You don't know what is means to be able to call and have a voice on the line that cares.

I can't say enough good things about Burthey Funeral Services. I felt like they were part of our family. Professional, yet personable and compassionate. The went the extra mile we needed during our time of sorrow and loss.

One word comes to mind when I think of Mr. and Mrs. Burthey and there staff, FAMILY, and that's how we were treated, we knew after five minutes with them that everything would be okay. I knew my Uncle who had passed was there priority. The sympathy and compassion shown to my family will never be forgotten, the level of professionalism never waivered as the Burthey's and there staff helped us through a very difficult time. When you lose a family member you really need assurances, those assurances were given and met. They stuck by us not only to reassure us but to comfort and guide us during this time. Everyone has to go through this at some point. We will always choose Burthey. When you need someone to be there for you and understand what you are going through, Burthey will be there. I cannot thank them enough for everything they did for my family and we are ever so grateful.
