Miel Bon Bons I Fine Chocolate & Macarons l Extraordinary Desserts

This bakery gives you a fairy tale feeling with the sugary aroma. There were so many treats that I went every day of my trip. Take your time; look and ask about their offerings. I had the macarons, and they were phenomenal! The ham and cheese croissant was amazing. My favorite item was the maple bourbon tartlet. I'd recommend getting desert here versus other places in the area.

Hands down the best chocolates and macarons in the area. Every item is hand crafted and packs a punch of flavor. We had a mocha, macarons, and a selection of chocolates. The chocolates were made well and contained so much flavor. They also have a larger selection of vegan truffles too. The macarons were baked to perfection. They were light, chewy, and didn’t have too much filling, which is how those cookies should be. They also serve drinking chocolate and make a variety of hot
Chocolate bombs. There’s a couple seats inside but the outdoor garden patio is beautiful and has heaters. We can’t wait to go back. Anytime I’m back in town, this will be the first place I go to.

I was gifted a box of these amazingly beautiful chocolates. These are truly works of art and although what I know about fine chocolate could fit in a thimble I would say these eye-candy chocolates are as delicious as they are beautiful. I had a pineapple shaped one that was as good as anything I have ever had made of chocolate. The salted caramel was amazing too. But honestly they were all great.

I was here yesterday. The chocolates look like beautiful art and the macarons are so colorful. Biting into the chocolates and the macarons felt like I was taking a bite of heaven. I can’t recommend this please enough!!

We got both the cake for our engagement party and our wedding from Miel Bon Bons. The cake and the experience dealing with Bonnie could not have been better! I would recommend her for every party and wedding! And the chocolates are to die for!!

A taste of Paris in Durham!! Bonnie Lau is the nicest human being ever and is beyond talented. She learned her art in Paris and you can easily taste the difference. Durham, NC is lucky to have her.

Hands down the best macaron I've had in US.. My kind of macarons.. where are the filling is just as amazing as the crust..
Also enjoyed the yuzu drink.. refreshing for a sunny afternoon

And loved the freshly baked spinach and artichoke danish and sticky bun for breakfast

Lovely store in Durham. Blew me away with the quality, the display and the atmosphere. And everything is made fresh by the owner. Super impressed. Great chocolates and macarons. Must visit, folks.

Update December 2019: I had to buy the bûche de noël after trying it earlier during the year. I was thinking I would get something that was sold in the store but wow! Instead I got an amazing looking bûche de noël! Definitely order one in the store for a special occasion! (or feel free to order one just because you feel like it.)

Update 2019: Bonnie is a wonderful chef. As always, the French Macarons are probably the best in the triangle area. The pastries are a great addition to the shop. Also, the cakes are wonderful too. The names are a bit too complicated for me to pronounce but the chocolate roll cake thing was amazing. It was like a soft sponge cake dissolving in your mouth while releasing rich chocolate flavor. If you do get it make sure to eat it slowly to fully appreciate the flavor. I can't talk about the new espresso machine because I don't drink coffee but the tea was good too. I tried the Mariage green tea and the herbal flavor was wonderful.
Also, her new shop location and looks are fantastic!!!! Make sure to check it out! Definitely a place to go for afternoon tea time (who doesn't do afternoon tea time!) or weekends just to relax!

Past review: Miel Bon Bons has one of the most delicious Macarons and chocolate in town if not the best. I would recommend this place to anybody in a heart beat! Make sure to check out the pistachio macarons if you love pistachios!

Really amazing dessert shop featuring super high end chocolates, macaroons, specialized cakes, and baked goods. They also serve as a coffee and espresso. Pricey but the quality and taste is exceptional and well worth it. Small space with standing counters inside and small patio outside. Amazing spot for the occasional or even daily treat.

Bonnie is the best cake maker in North Carolina. She has been making cakes for us for years. Birthday cake is at the top of my wife's list, did my due diligence... This is the best place buy a cake. There's not a close second.

Well, I'm in love. The store itself is so sweet, the outdoor seating area with all of the plants is just lovely- but oh my goodness, how we've lived in Durham for so long and have just discovered this place seems like a crime. As a vegan, this place was an absolute treat. They had the most wonderful selection of chocolates and my non-vegan husband was just in heaven. Their iced coffee was also pretty perfect. We will absolutely be back!!

Went looking for desserts and found this bakery. The owner was amazing and the dessert even better. They have chocolates, cakes, pies, and pastries. The also have Vegan options as well. If your looking for something sweet try this place out it won't disappoint.

This is THE PLACE to order your wedding cake in Durham, hands down! We ordered a custom cake for our wedding with an Irish creme tiers and a chocolate raspberry Portal companion cube on top. Bonnie is a pleasure to work with and was excited for the challenge. Miel Bon Bons certainly delivered as the flavors were PERFECT and we could not have been happier with how well the cake was received by our guests. Thank you Bonnie!

10/10 would recommend over and over again!!! Sweet quaint little cafe! Coffee was delicious, the crème brûlée cake had the perfect balance of richness but not overly sweet, and the Bon Bons were to die for. Shop Local and visit Miel!

Bonnie made a two tier cake for our 50th anniversary party at the Washington Duke. The guests praised the cake--said it was as light as angel food. The fillings and frosting garnered rave reviews. She also made up little favor boxes of chocolate and raspberry truffles. Delicious. I can't stress enough how pleased we were with Bonnie's treats for this special occasion.

Cute little dessert shop that Durham needed!! Glad that Miel Bon Bons decided to move to Durham from their CH spot. When you have an urge for a sweet bite, check them out!!

Love this place! I've had just about everything she makes and it's all been delicious especially the macaroons.
