Absolutely amazing food and we had the best waitress Samara !
The French toast was so thick and the icing was perfect, not overly sweet. The sweet and spicy wings had amazing flavor not too sweet not too spicy. And the Mexican late was the best one I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Beyu is a wonderful place to start your morning - whether you’re looking for your caffeine fix and/or a delicious breakfast. The welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and good music combine for an all around win. The toast and chicken is absolutely delicious - I tried it with sweet and spicy chicken that perfectly complemented the soft challah bread and fruit. Come hungry or with your bey ❤

We had a really scrummy breakfast at Beyu Cafe!! I had the Chicken and Toast and my husband had the Breakfast Burrito; both were really tasty and items we’d order again!! A surprise treat that we also got was Mexican Coffee which was coffee with cinnamon, nutmeg and chocolate. It was delicious too. It’s also available as a latte.

The servers were really friendly and they worked as a team to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. I really like this in a restaurant.

We will definitely be back to this restaurant the next time we’re in Durham.

The other things I’d like to mention about this restaurant in case it’s important to someone reading this review is that we thought the music was a bit too loud and this is not a restaurant we’d come to if we were in a hurry. Food service seemed to be consistent with items being made to order.

This place was amazing! Our waiter Jazzy was very accommodating and kind as well, I would definitely recommend this place!

PS. The coffee was really good (get the Mexican latte)

It don’t matter if you live in NC or in Cali! You better make sure to come here and when you do ask for JAZZY or Jazz! You won’t be disappointed! I got the chicken wings (sweet and spicy sauce) and the turtle mocha extra sweet! So good y’all I ate everything to the bone okay!

The building is small but cozy for the crowd that attended. Nice atmosphere. Service was really slow and the food could have been cooked much better. Servers were friendly and I believe did their best in taking & serving orders as fast as they could.
NO parking, place in center downtown, late evening it's really hard to find a parking spot, by the time you find one, you've missed up to half of the show. Ppl. we're still coming in as we were leaving... they paid their money & missed the show. ☹ Place to dark to take clear pics.

New favorite spot in Durham! Great atmosphere, lovely staff, delicious food, very clean, and honestly the best espresso we have had in the state! We were recommended by some local people from our hotel and were so glad we had time to stop for breakfast and have such a good experience at Beyu! Tanny is a great server and we loved hearing a little bit about the business! The baristas were very friendly, it’s not only a great place to eat, but it seems like a great work environment for the employees. Wish we had a Beyu cafe in Charlottesville VA!

This is by far the best cafe I’ve been too. Food 10/10. I had the Avocado Toast with egg and it was delicious and light yet filling. The Oprah Mocha was the perfect amount of sweet. Cannot recommend this place more.

The chicken and toast/brioche French toast was amazing, a slight taste of saltiness, paired with the syrup had me wanting more. The chicken drumetts and wings, I had the dry rub, was crispy not dry very tasty. All the plate I seen come out looked delicious and customer cleaned their plates. Definitely 10/10.

Today we had the opportunity to visit downtown Durham, we are from Miami and we are visiting the city, we had not had breakfast and while we were driving we found this spectacular cafe. There couldn't have been a better choice for something to eat. I was struck by how well cared for the place was and the combination of the historic with the art of the space, but I was even more impressed with the delicious breakfast and its presentation. I have not had the opportunity before to have been surprised by a breakfast similar to this in its flavor and the delicacy of its preparation... all integrated. add to this the attention that Jamia gave us, who with careful treatment and in a very natural, elegant and careful way treated us to all the client who appreciated her in her open. I recommend that garden omelet with vegetables so delicious and coffee so tasty that you won't miss the Miami varieties. Thank you for the good time you spend in your establishment. very soon they will have me there again… if you are passing through Durham, be sure to visit them… I am sure you will be as pleased as I am!

Another gem, we found this looking for somewhere with a good brunch. Let me just say, they didn’t let us down!!! The bar could have more selection but for just coffee, mimosas you’ll be beyond satisfied. The food my goodness, I’ll definitely be back!

In town for a wedding and found this wonderful spot. The young ladies who helped us (hostess and server) were polite and sweet and efficient. Our meals were excellent. The Garden omelette was fresh and delicious. The peppered bacon, egg, cheese sandwich was “off the charts” according to my husband. I also enjoyed a Mexican latte which was a special treat. Don’t expect a fast food feel. We had the opportunity to sit and relax and enjoy our morning.

Sweet lil spot in Durham! Overall good experience! The French toast was really good! The anglaise crème sauce had me drooling!! Would have appreciated a little more fruit however. 9/10. The grits were good but not the best I’ve ever had - needed more butter and/or cream for my liking! (Though I do admit to having high standards for grits.) The staff was friendly and attentive. Brian took good care of us. We were a little thrown off by being told they were maybe out of coffee when we first arrived. We were able to order coffee after Brian checked but it took about 15 minutes before we received it. The Carver’s peanut butter coffee was tasty. Flavors were subtle. The sugar fien in me wanted it sweeter but I resisted adding sugar and still enjoyed it. Looking forward to trying other options on the menu next time!

First time here and definitely will be back. One of the most popular dishes is the chicken and toast. Highly recommend as the sweet and spicy sauce on them is delicious. The French toast is not over sweetened either. The salmon lox omelette was a little different from what I expected (particularly on the lox part) but either way, was very filling. Home fries to accompany paired well with the meal.

Service was awesome. Our waitress, Kya, was so amicable and made some great recommendations!

Had brunch today with a friend at this establishment. The atmosphere, service, and food were pretty good! My friend had the shrimp and grits. She loved it! I had the chicken and toast. Lemon pepper chicken wings and French toast. What's not to love?! We also had mimosas. 👌🏽

Really exceptional food and coffee. The presentation is gorgeous and somehow the food tastes even better. I got the weird peanut butter and chocolate coffee drink and it was amazing.

Even though the other items on the menu looked amazing, I don't think I'd get anything other than the sandwich I got: the Breakfast Wrangler Sandwich. It was exceptional. It has avocado, egg, pastrami, and was on open faced pretzel bread. Incredible.

We visited Beyú Caffè for a Saturday morning breakfast. The food was absolutely delicious and our server Jazzy was wonderful. The space itself is beautifully designed and has a chill and relaxing vibe. We highly recommend the French Toast and the Shrimp and Grits!

This is a gem of a Downtown Durham eatery. I recently visited this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed with the food quality and options. I'm a foodie and found the location's shrimp and grits entree to be the best presentation of the concept in comparison to other places I've tried with similar offerings. The Baddie Burger is also good. The varied list of flavored and chocolate-infused lattes and espressos is divine.

I also enjoyed the friendliness and professionalism of the manager and most of the location's wait staff. The servers are patient and personable even with newbies who aren't familiar with the eatery's interior table seating areas and menu items. Customers are allowed time to enjoy the eatery's ambiance without feeling unnecessarily rushed or made to leave. This customer service approach made it easy for me to want to leave the serving staff a generous tip.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice breakfast/lunch/afternoon hangout option downtown. Just make sure to check the open hours before heading to the location. I know more than a few people who have had their hearts broken when they raced to the restaurant only to find it "Closed."
