Oval Drive Park

Loved this park! Was fairly quiet and people were nice. My son LOVED the slide! It's a pretty little park and 10/10 would recommend if you're up near Duke and need to kill time.

Great playground to come and explore. All the expected playground equipment, as well as some good climbing structures. Lots of donated bikes and trikes are just hanging around for anyone to use which is always cool. The entire playground is bordered by a sidewalk, perfect for caregivers to stroll around or for little ones to ride along. Some trees offer partial shade. Street parking that is shared by residents, so it may get cramped on the weekends or in evenings. Not a city park, so no restrooms, but there are water fountains.

Our family of 7 came by on Saturday afternoon to walk off some lunch and hang out in the sun. The kids had fun on the playground equipment, and the adults had enough places in and out of the sun to sit. The park seemed clean and looked after. Most of the passersby were friendly.

We parked there to walk in the neighborhood and enjoy the flower gardens. This is a beautiful part of town.

We like this park, it has some unique play features like the rocking boat and it seems to be kept up pretty well. We noticed in our most recent visit there's a basketball court across the street too.

Good park for little kids. Slides, swings, and an assortment of rolling toys people leave around.

Great family park for all ages is kids. Very large grass area to run around. Paved path for walking or bikes loops entire park, but fully visible at all times. Great playground for very young and older kids. Also, lots of donated little vehicles and today. We love this park!

This park was my favorite in the 90s and my son's favorite in 2004 and still one of a go to spots 4 him now as he's grown but there's a basketball and tennis court on the other side of the park. Now I'm bringing my 2 Year old nephew here in 2021... That's how great this park was and continues to be to our family year after year, generation to generation.... Did you know that on the 4th of July they have a kids parade and all the children decorate their bikes or their wagons and decorate their hair and their outfits and walk with the whole family in the parade .. Or they did im not sure now because of the pandemic. But it was always fun for our family....

One of the best parks in Durham. They have a great playground and a plethora of small riding toys, plastic playsets, and other toys that seem to have been abandoned there. Many of them are quite defunct, but kids don't seem to mind.

Incredibly family friendly park in welcoming neighborhood. Typical park hours (Dawn to Dusk). Has ampitheatre area, basketball hoop, tennis courts, and picnic shelter. The main draw is the playground. The other amenities are average.

Our go-to park in Durham. As the name suggests it is oval and there's a nice flat path that goes around the park, perfect for scootering. It also has your standard swings and slide and climbing stuff. The downside is that it is a dumping ground for broken riding toys. A few work but most should go to recycling or landfill.

This place is great for kids and in such a lovely neighborhood. There are even a bunch of extra kids toys to play with a ride on all around the park. I dont think there is a wheelchair entrance and that's the only drawback.

Great neighborhood park. North end for younger kids as well as softball. South has tennis and basketball and picnic pavilion. I only swing on the swings when children not present.

It’s usually pretty chill here at this park. The other park is usually pretty full of people and you have to find some place to park as big as the park is! To much work to go to a park!!

Great park. Lots of play things for kids, tricycle, scooters, slides, swings, picnic areas. And gets very busy at times!!! Neighborhood favorite.

Great location shaded and Sunny spots playground equipment for all Ages

Nice park, lots of toys, multiple play structures. 10 minute walk to multiple coffee shops. Safe neighborhood surrounding it. Parking along street around the park.

Great park to take young kids . Plenty of play room and not to crowded
