Belton Animal Control

Though we hadn't seen it, we suspected with our noses that we had a skunk issue. Set out a trap and sure enough, skunk! I called Belton Animal Control (the dispatch is through the police station # -- thought I had wrong # at first). They were very helpful and sent someone over, arriving maybe 45min later. They gently removed the trap w/ live skunk -- without getting sprayed!!! -- and relocated the skunk, and then brought back my trap. I also found out that you can apparently get a loaner trap from Belton. I am very grateful for Belton Animal Control -- THANK YOU!!!

The officers and staff are very friendly. The animals are all well taken care of. Just wish they were open on the weekends again.

Nice to know that as a tax payer I get to talk to an indifferent officer on the phone. Getting swarmed by three stray dogs on Nolan Creek is no bigs, because you know, I didn't let them bite me! Just wow

Rude! The lady answering the phone definitely let me know. That my call wasn't important to her, but the call she needed to answer sure was. Public service hahaha. Maybe a little retraining would help, but I kinda doubt. Again just rude for no reason.

Shelter had a foul odor, cats had minimal litter in pans, news paper was saturated with urine, small dogs were curled up on concrete shivering, there were no towels or blankets in kennels. Multiple piles of feces in kennels, including diarrhea. Dogs were dirty, tangled and had no chance of adoption in their present state. In my opinion this is a form of animal abuse/cruelty.
