Geer Street Garden

Delicious lunch place and awesome atmosphere. More outdoor seating than indoor, but they have a cozy bar to post up at as well. Love the low key vibes of this place. The outdoor seating is super cozy with large picnic tables and nice lighting.
The food was delicious - good appetizers and entrees. Mostly ordered off the specials menu but was worth. Dog friendly, and a small amount of parking. Definitely recommend doing reservations, as they take them.

One of the best patios in town and everybody who works there is so nice. The Pile is one of my favorite dishes in town!

We arrived for casually, we saw the patio area and liked it immediately, we went with our kitty and they didn’t have problem for that so excellent decision come here, I recommend it!! We ordered pint fullsteam beer, fish tacos w guacamole and Daily Special which was a mix to different flavors! If u are in downtown Durham here is a good spot!

The waiter wasn’t the better and kindest of them but I’ll come bc I wanted to try banana pudding just that the waiter decided to gave the bill us before to ask for it.

We went on a whim for lunch and it was terrific! The host was so welcoming and helped us get our stroller to the patio. The heated covered patio is perfect, especially if you have kids. The food was delicious and great portions. I had the Cobb Salad and my husband had a fried fish dish. Our waiter wasn’t the best, but she was nice enough. We plan to return!

Our lunch at Greer Street Garden was the perfect cap to our morning. After hiking, I wanted a place that we could eat outside in the shade and also had vegan options. Greer Street Garden fit the bill.

We sat outside in their shaded back porch at the picnic tables. Our server and hostess were both very friendly and accommodating. The server double checked that the bahn mi and artichoke appetizer were vegan. He also made sure to split the bahn mi on 2 places because we wanted to share that and the appetizer. Excellent service.

The food itself was also amazing. The artichoke appetizer was acidic, salty, and sweet. The artichokes were cooked perfectly. Tender but not mushy. The Bahn Mi was flavourful and a little spicy. The pickled veggies went very well with the sweet and spicy tofu. We both hoovered it down quickly. Yum. I also took a picture of the Dim Sum plate but we did not try it. The person who did said it was great!

I'm excited to go back to Greer Street Garden. The food was all very fresh and flavorful. The service was on point and fast. You should give it a shot if you're reading this far! :)

One of my favorite places to eat in Durham. Salads are delicious with the perfect veggie to protein ratio. The fried chicken is crispy yet juicy. Great deviled eggs! Also, try The Pile and get the curry mayo dipping sauce.

Fantastic food with a great ambience and friendly service. Brain’s recommendations were perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

Super cute and delicious! Great outdoor space with plenty of seating. Local, homemade and plenty of vegetable options. Great selection of beer, wine and non alcoholic drinks (blueberry and ginger kombucha anyone?) Friendly service- highly recommend.

Five of us for lunch on a sunny but chilly day. Sat outside and was super comfortable - they had heaters and good wind blockers. Service was fast, professional, attentive and funny. The Rubin was 13/10 for sure! Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.

UPDATE: Went back on 4/26/2022 for lunch.. it's Chinese Week and you gotta order the noodles... they were amazing!

Food was great, The only thing I have issues with is the bartender didn't ask if i'd like a refill of my sweet tea but that's no biggie.....

Glad we stopped by for lunch. Beautiful patio for outdoor seating. Great beer selection as well as cocktail options and delicious sangria. Lots of regular menu options and daily specials but no kids menu. The portions were very big and nobody left hungry.

The food is great! The outdoor seating is really poor for wheelchair users and always has been. The picnic benches don't have any overhang so it isn't possible to pull the front of a chair under the table. It's an uncomfortable dining experience, but the pie is sooo good.

Great place to grab a quick drink or bite to eat. The Korean chicken was excellent. Within walking distance of Boxcar if you want to play some arcade games.

Vegan Posole soup is delicious. Just the right amount of heat and spice without burning your mouth. The sweet potatoes tots are also my go to.

Geer Street Garden is one of my favorite lunch go-to spots in downtown Durham. I think Geer Street Garden has some of the best fish tacos in Durham. Their burger and sweet potato tots were also exceptionally good. I love that they have ample outside seating (covered porch and uncovered).

this cute former gas station turn trendy bar features an eclectic menu as well as a limited but very tasty cocktail menu. Be sure and try the sweet potato tostada it is amazing, rich, and wonderful.

One order of the pile is enough of a meal into itself for two people. Excellent choice to have when you have been out drinking for a while and need a bite to eat. Will have to come back again. I also had the gauspacho soup and that too was amazing.

Great burger with perfectly crispy fries, Brian was very friendly and eager to share a quick history of this lively place!

Stopped on our way to Asheville at a friend's suggestion. Found the place to be very pleasant, great service and the food was delicious. Enjoyed their black Bean burger and their cheese plate, as well as the heirloom tomato salad! Definitely recommend it!
