Burch Avenue Park

This is one of the most shaded parks in Durham. It has a nice sized play structure with multiple sized slides and monkey bars. There are swings for big and little kids. There’s a stage area near the back. A bus for kids to play pretend. There are benches and picnic tables. The whole park is fenced in with a woodchuck surface. The only drawbacks are that the parking is street parking in a residential area so it’s limited. There is also not a bathroom so take potty breaks before you go.

This is the best playground in Durham. It has something for kids of all ages. Shaded which is always a plus, has picnic area, and bonus that it's completely fenced it. Love spending a few hours here.

Also has a community library!

Super tranquile. The entire park is shaded by the trees, so the park is nice and cool. The park equipment is in really good shape and in perfect working order.

I really appreciate the fact that the park has a gate entrance to prevent any little ones from acciventally wandering towards the road.

The entire park is covered in mulch, so the risk of little ones getting scraped hands or knees should they fall was minimum. All in all, our son had a wonderful time with his baby cousin, and we had a blast

The monkey bars are high enough for my tallest kiddo (tall for her age) to enjoy! Nice wooded area within neighborhood. Street parking only.

Great park. Gated, lots of space for running. There is a large playground, swings, a stage for children to act and put on a play, awesome for picnics as there are grills and children sized tables. A lovely touch of children's art all around the playground. You can easily spend 4 hours here if you pack water, snacks and/or lunch.

One of Durham's only mostly shaded parks! No burning tush from a hot slide. Lots of picnic tables and a stage for the kids to play or perform on. Great neighborhood park in a great neighborhood!

Adorable, quaint little park. Swings, cute playset, a little stage and lots of natural shade. They also have quite a few picnic tables and benches.

Amazing community park. Toys. Colorful play structures. Shade from lovely trees. Plenty of benches. Safely fenced. Close to the freeway.

If you have kids then plan to come here. It's beautiful, fully shaded with lots of picnic and playground options, water fountains and toys.

Really nice park for toddlers and good shade from the sun. Had a great time!
