A great place to eat outside in Mount Dora, Fl. If you like deviled eggs you will ABSOLUTELY love the Devilish Eggs as an appetizer. The goat cheese they put on the Mt. Dora Burger is amazing!! The salad dressing is homemade and is wonderful. Haven't had anything bad there - it's a great restaurant!!

Best burger, but don’t ignore the rest of the menu.

Awesome place, we spent a birthday breakfast here, and we're beyond impressed. Even in the rain, this place has a great unique atmosphere, delicious food, friendly staff, and wonderful prices. Such a great venue, I would love to have a party here. Highly recommend eating here if you're in Mount Dora, and getting the Greek goddess omelette, and the Texas French toast with fresh local strawberries and handmade whipped cream on Sundays!

This was such a cool spot to stop in and check out. We have riden past this place many times and never stopped. Last night, we decided to give it a try. Wow, I'm so glad we did. The staff is really fondly and makes you feel very welcomed. We ordered Fried Green Tomatoes, Deviled Eggs, stuffed mushrooms, and a Fish Sandwich. Food came out quick, hot, and delicious. This place is really cool. Back in the day, it was a corner gas station, and now it's an outside eatery. Happy and full is how we left the place. Never know what you'll find in Mt. Dora. Next time you want to try something new, make sure to stop in here and give them a try. We plan to be back again and again...

First time visiting! We enjoyed our lunch setting outside with my pet Snickers. Love places that allow pets! The food was great, and the service was awesome ! Will be returning more often!

Fifth Avenue Streatery is a hidden gem in Mount Dora! It is located in (out) an old gas station with outside seating only and heaters to keep everyone warm. The servers were friendly and the food was excellent. I had the fried chicken special with mac and cheese and coleslaw. The fried chicken was some of the best I have ever had, spiced and cooked perfectly. The Mac and cheese was a typical homemade without breadcrumbs which I really enjoyed.

This was by far the best hamburger I have ever had! Me and my boyfriend both ordered the Mount Dora burger and it was delicious! 😋🤤 We will definitely be coming back 😁

Leslie did a fantastic job serving us. Loved the atmosphere, dog friendly, they even have a menu for your pet!!! The food was great we had the fried chicken special and fish n chips, the salad served with it was way more than I expected. Will be back!

We love this spot! Food is good - love the fish tacos, and the specials - this time we shared blueberry foster dessert - simply amazing! The service makes you feel right at home. This is a great place to meet with friends. Also pet-friendly!

We had a wonderful Mother's Day lunch at Fifth Ave Streatery! The Mount Dora burger was delicious, and our waitress was fantastic. Highly recommend!

I recently used Fifth Avenue Streatery to cater my Birthday Celebration. They listened to my requests and built a menu that was perfect for my event! The food was wonderful, they arrived on time and picked everything up the next morning. I will definitely use them again for my future catering needs!

We stumbled upon this place and we will be coming back! We're already planning on bringing friends and family. The outdoor seating area is very nice. Obviously there are traffic noises but it is still a great atmosphere. It's a seat your self establishment and the waitresses were friendly and attentive.
I got the shaved beef sandwich and my boyfriend got the belly buster. The Au Jus that came with my shaved beef was perfectly seasoned and a great dipping sauce for fries. The belly buster was exactly as it sounded, big thick and juicy!

Very friendly and welcoming place , The food is amazing, and the Mount Dora burger is a fire. The crab cakes are awesome, too. This place is a must when visiting Mount Dora.

Had an amazing meal at this surprising location our first night in Mt Dora.It is an outside eatery in a converted gas station.
Katie was an amazingly attentive thorough and sweet server which we so appreciated after a long day of traveling and walking.
I had grilled Atlantic salmon with Jasmine rice and Caesar salad. Husband grilled Mahi with mixed vegetables. They only offer beer and wine and it was surprisingly reasonably priced and delicious.
For a casual experience and if you enjoy seafood you can't go wrong here.

We had a fantastic dinner at Fifth Avenue Streatery. There were 9 of us (and a puppy). They put together two tables for us. The temperature was in the low 60s and they put on a couple of heaters, which made it very comfortable. The chairs are light aluminum and are made comfy by the cushions provided.

The service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Now about the food...

We started with fried green tomatoes, pimento stuffed fried jalapenos (sweet hots), and the nachos. All were delicious. The fried green tomatoes and the sweet hots were served with a delicious house made remi sauce. The nachos are amazing (see photo).

For main courses we had the grilled shrimp, the beef and cheese sandwich, pot roast (special of the day on Tuesdays), fish sandwich, tacos, Mt Dora Burger and a regular burger. All were superb. The pot roast was amazing - tender and flavorful served with mashed potatoes and gravy and glazed carrots. Everything is home made and you can tell. One little rule of thumb that I have developed for myself over the years is that if a place makes their own tartar sauce (or other sauces) you are in for a treat. This definitely holds true for Fifth Avenue Streatery. I checked the grilled fish sandwich and, sure enough, there was house made tartar sauce and it was awesome. My wife joked that I should just go ahead and lick the bun...the thought crossed my mind, but we were in public and I thought better of it.

We were all too full to try desserts, but they looked great as well and are homemade like everything here. I will be back for the bananas foster crepe.

Overall an excellent experience in a fun casual atmosphere of a converted gas station. Try this place - you will not be disappointed!!

My family visited for dinner tonight and had a wonderful experience! Great food, great service, and great atmosphere! Excellent all-around. They even have misters and fans to keep you cool during the hot summer months! Would highly recommend if you're visiting Mt Dora!

Update 9/16/23: Still love eating here! Food is always fresh and delicious. On this most recent trip I tried the Ahi Tuna and it was very good. We also had the cheesecake for dessert and that was yummy as well. On the previous visit we tried the swedish meatball special- that was excellent. I cannot say enough good things about this place. If you haven't been, you're missing out on some great food.

OP: A picture is worth 1,000 words, right? We've eaten here a few times now. This past weekend was our most recent visit and cicken pot pie (which is one of my favorite meals) was the special. It was probably the best chicken pot pie I've ever had. The food is fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly and promptly attends to you upon being seated. I also find their prices to be reasonable, especially compared to other restaurants in downtown Mt. Dora. The one thing that I find to be a bit expensive are the desserts....however they are worth it!

My Wife and I didn't plan on coming here originally, but I'm honestly glad we did come. It was a nice beautiful day and we ate outside with some very nice shade. The staff there were SUPER friendly, smiled, and treated us nicely. We had Courtney serve us, and she was very delightful and respectful. I appreciated the recommendations and the checking up on us and refilling whatever we may needed, so she was very professional. I personally got a Mt. Dora burger, it was delicious and the foods quality is off the charts! It has fried goat cheese on the burger, which I wouldn't eat alone, but it went so well with the burger, which was a pleasant surprise! The onion rings and ranch were also really good! Living in this area for a couple of years now and I'm surprised we didn't discover this place sooner! We will definitely be back.

Ignore the negative reviews, this eatery is AWESOME! Drove up from south Orlando just to have lunch here. Our server, Leslie, was super-sweet and the food was fresh and well-prepared. It was well worth the trip! And we will return!!!!!!
