Went twice within the last 2 weeks to get a few teeth pulled first time was about 30 minutes second time was about 20 no wait took me right back numbed me and pulled quick and painless very caring and friendly

I have been going to the WCHD for 18 months on a regular basis. I have received outstanding care in every aspect from every department. I cannot recommend a better place to find such high quality, integrated services. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt. I've always been able to get an appointment easily, waited in the waiting room for no more than 10 minutes, and have all my questions answered. I lived in Chicago for 40 years, yet Rock Falls is the place that offers the best dental, medical, and behavioral care.

I am constantly amazed by the people, Doctors, psychiatrist, nurses, staff in the BH unit of the WCHD. They have quite literally saved my life. Saved me from me. Because of my therapist and my deep desire to be better and do better, I have maintained an upward projection for 3 years. I have even started to bring my son to talk to a wonderful therapist. My sisters too. Because of the help I've received, my whole family is getting better. It's very easy, be honest, make your appointments and if you have to cancel, do it a day in advance not an hour or something, if you don't show up, that says to them you might not be ready for this journey to wellness and trust me, they are booked out in advance. I'm amazed we have this resource in our little community and they really are making a big, big difference in so many life's.

Sometimes you get a therapist you just don't click with. If you ask for a new one, they will happily transfer you to another one you may be more comfortable with.

Ladies at the front desk in Behavioral Health (BH) are lovely, and get to know the regulars by name very quickly! I walk in, hear "Hey, Daemon! I got you all checked in!" And a few minutes later the therapist comes out.

The doctors and nurses in Community Health (CH) recently worked a ton of hours to get a new PrEP med approved so I didn't have to take a pill every day. Even though my insurance doesn't cover it, they covered for me.

I am not looking forward to the day I am forced to leave the area. The doctors of the 2010 "crank it up" era have all been expunged, and most of the doctors here are in their mid 30's max.

Thank you, those I cannot name. Just because you aren't on the front line doesn't make you any less a hero.

Dr. Guthrie is the best general doctor I’ve ever had and will ever have. I could go anywhere with my insurance but I won’t find a better doctor. The health department also does so much good for this community and is severely under appreciated. The reception staff (most) are kind and caring. Lab is usually quick.

Best dentist experience of my life absolutely.

Love the dental clinic! Only down side takes awhile to get an appointment but it’s worth it only other place to take the medical card around here are all idiots

Helpful and caring staff. I opt to travel an hour to use their services instead of my nearest health department.

I have NEVER had an issue with this place. Dental especially, every time I had an emergency I did a sit and wait longest I've waited was an hour. They helped fix the problem everytime I called.

The Whiteside County Health Department has web pages with updates about COVID. Here, in October 16, the last reported update on those pages is August 8th. If you are going to provide information on COVID Response, then update or remove those pages and let some other local agency provide the updates.

This place has been great for my children! They are so nice to them and interact very well with them. That being said, this place could really use organization. I called in February to book an appointment for my husband and I, and it was scheduled for July. I made it clear that my husband and I, while we have a great family, don't have available sitters all the time so if our kids can't come back with us to let me know so I can find someone for my kids.
I got there today and was told my kids would not be allowed to come back with me and that they couldn't take my husband first then me. This was a waste of gas and time. They need to make it obvious that kids can't go back with their parents.

I caught the receptionist in a flat out lie today about them trying to get ahold of me to cancel an appointment that I drove 45 minutes to. I asked for the phone number that they had for me and it is correct but my phone never rang from them. The worst part is is that I received the text two days earlier confirming my appointment that I replied to. If you or someone you work with drops the ball own it. I didn’t see her name because her badge was flipped backwards. As for the dental office, if you refuse to make an appointment for an adult because it is only for children give them some idea where to go. Something has happened here in the last short while. Most of the great people that I have been seeing for years are gone and the staff that they have now is deteriorating. It would be a one star but Laurie Welchel and the immunization lab have held their ends up.

Follow up, I dropped my review to one star because they still keep loosing good people and seem to replace them with people who are only there because it is their job. It took weeks to get my insulin prescription straightened out (you know a Type 1 diabetic doesn’t need that stuff) and I finally moved to a new PCP with FHN because it was a month of my pharmacy trying to get ahold of my PCP here for a prescription refill on test strips. Good bye Whiteside County Health. Bureaucracy has consumed this place from the inside.

Never actually left a review for this place but I will just say I was apart of the MAT program here and these people act like they are looking for your best interest but they really aren’t . I had a situation happen where I almost lost my life as a direct result of how the staff here handled my situation. All I gotta say is there are way better MAT programs out there, I would use this as a last resort . And I wouldn’t say the MAT program as a whole was bad, Whitney the supervisor is great , but they should find someone to replace Jodi, she’s extremely rude and really has no clue what any of the patients are going through .
