Alongi's Italian Restaurant

A fantastic place to eat. The best Italian Beef sandwich I've ever had, without a doubt. Great service, friendly severs, delicious food - what more could you ask for in one place? The charm: built in 1933, still has that old style. Beautifully built: classic, vintage, Italian-American restaurant.
If you're within 30 minutes, I'd recommend going out of the way to eat here.

Traveling through and when I saw that they have been serving pizza since 1933, I had to stop. Started with Toasted Ravioli ... perfectly crisp and tasty! I ordered a classic sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, green pepper, and onion. The crust was a little thicker than the cracker crust I like best, but it had abundant toppings and great flavor.

The best Italian Beef sandwich I've ever had, hands down! Great little place right on the street. If you're within 30 miles of this absolutely delicious restaurant, I highly recommend going out of your way to stop in.

Food was absolutely delicious. Fantastic service from our waitress Jada. Definitely looking forward to going back

We love going to Alongi's. The service and food are always amazing. I decided to try something new today and got the Mushroom Ravioli with creamy garlic sauce. I have a new favorite dish. Their creamy garlic sauce is on point. Creamy perfection. Enjoy my complimentary birthday Spumoni.

I had such a great experience here. I sat outside on the beautiful, quiet patio and had the delicious Sicilian salad and wine. I loved the seasoned grilled chicken on top. The salad portion was big but I still could not say no to the ice cream. The wait staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. I can’t wait to come back the next time I am in town!

The Italian beef was delicious! Service was fast, and the waitress returned to the table to refill our glasses and check on us several times.

Pleasantly surprised for the first time here. Had their house salad with house Italian dressing, and lasagna. Definitely can taste authentic Italian recipes. Adequately seasoned with just the right amount of everything for both dishes! Definitely will be back. Love the atmosphere, music wasn’t too loud but could barely hear it until more people left. I don’t think there were speakers on our side by the fireplace. Also had an Aperol Spritz that was refreshing and not very sweet. The breadsticks are good & warm, oil was offered & I love this tradition as well.

Had a nice dinner with friends from out of town. The food was very good as usual. The service was good, and we enjoyed the casual atmosphere.

A real treasure in Southern Illinois. We had a group of 17 and one waitress knocked it out of the park by herself!!!! The food was terrific!!! Loved it and will be back often.

The eggplant parmesan was the best I've ever had. I highly recommend it. All around this place is very nice, and it would be a wonderful place to take someone for a date.

Great food spaghetti and lasagna was ordered . I ordered 3 of each and a salad came with each one. The only thing I was not happy with was the breadstick . They were not good but even with the breadsticks being dry and hard the food was magnesium $91 for 3 spaghetti dinners and 3 lasagna dinners to go . The food was ready 20 min later when I walked in to pick it up. The staff was pleasant and the establishment was very very nice and

We have been stopping here any time we are on the area for 21 years. This is REAL Italian food folks!
Their menu has something for everyone and any price point. You can get a panini or pizza- shrimp scampi or Beef Medallions- toasted ravioli & salad- snickers cheesecake or a cannoli! If you consider it, STOP, just go to Alongi's!

I was so taken aback by this final place. Even though I had dinner alone... I instantly wanted to be there with someone and dance romantically by our table to a Sinatra tune in the background. Wonderful service. Wonderful food. Wonderful place.

Amazing food at an amazing price! One of, if not the best Italian restaurant in Southern Illinois. Penne with alfredo sauce was awesome, and you can't beat their bread! Amazing experience and exceptional staff. That's why we keep coming back!

A must, a must, a MUST ,MUST MUST VISIT 90 Years and still going strong! Beautiful place located in very wonderfully QUAINT DOWNTOWN DISTRICT OF DUQUOIN, IL! The employees/staff/Crew are all so very personable and professional. I arrived for the first time visiting DuQuoin too near closing time upon arrival on Amtrak. The crew we're still very welcoming and served delicious coffee by the fireplace. I promised to return as well I did! Outstanding! A definite GEM💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎
