The experience was very pleasant. Our server was extremely polite and efficient. Our visit was worth every penny.

Fried ice cream, fantastic. The guacamole and chips, amazing, my burrito was delicious and extremely filling. We didn't have any alcoholic beverages, but, they have the fixings for all kinds of drinks. A small place, but clean and inviting.

A great place for a quick bite or, just gnashing and talking. 🥰

Great service and food. The food tasted authentic and atmosphere fun but relaxed. The prices are very reasonable. Tacos El Rey De Oro is truly a gem. They always serve the best food. Restaurant is clean, servers are nice and bilingual. Definitely recommend this place to any Mexican food lovers.

I only tried and get one dish here. The Burrito Suizo. It is awesome.

Came in for lunch today and enjoyed beef tacos and beef nachos with cheese.The nachos were so fantastic!! This little restaurant is a hidden gem.The people working here were also very nice and the restaurant was clean.We can not wait to return!!

Omg i got tonight the devil's shrimp and i love them they are so spicy that's how supposed to be because I went to Lola's tacos and tequila in Gurnee Mills and i ordered the same devil's shrimp dinner and theirs wasn't spicy at all i got mad because i told them i want them very spicy so for a good devil shrimp this is the place thank you they were absolutely delicious 😋

Recently moved to Libertyville and this is my family’s favorite go to for delicious Mexican cuisine. Very consistent, friendly and fast service!!!

Great service and food. The food tasted authentic. Usually the horchata is hit-or-miss at restaurants, but here it's a ballpark home run. They did change it up a bit, it's now a creamery on one side of the restaurant, and the actual restaurant on the other side. Regardless, the food and service is still great like it was before.

We loved it! Server was attentive, drinks delicious - highly recommend the Sangria - food was delicious, atmosphere fun but relaxed. And, the prices are very reasonable.

If I could give six stars I would. Great, authentic Mexican food. Staff was really polite. The guac was so good. They gave us free ice cream samples. The restaurant is linked to an ice cream store. Very cool concept. Will become regulars at this place.

My family and I found this place by accident one night and was really surprised how great all the food was. The salsa was just spicy enough to please everyone. Although the combo platter, asada burrito, and beef burrito were excellent, everyone was envious of the pastor chimichanga. It was hot, light, crispy, and mouth-watering good.

Fast service, DELICIOUS food, and beautiful decor. Great prices too. The pastor and all the meat was delicious, but the pastor chimichanga was exquisite and took the prize. The salsa is vibrant and just spicy enough, the green salsa is subtle and flavorful, and the bright habanero salsa was hot but glorious.

Did a quick Togo order tonight and the tacos were delicious. Beans and rice with red salsa mighty fine too. Thanks for a hot meal on the go!

Wow the take out was as good as some of the restaurants down in the city, the enchiladas had the perfect spices and just the right heat with pull apart chkn plus steak burrito didn't have any gristle or fat, will def be going back again to explore the menu.
After repeat visits, this has become my favorite Mexican take out choice. Salsa has great flavor and just enough spice, combo fajitas were cooked and seasoned perfectly, carne asada was a tad overcooked but it tasted great. All the food provided have been generous portions

I've been coming to this place for years and I never get tired of it. The food is delicious, the menu has plenty to offer, the staff is always friendly and attentive, and you get plenty of food for the price. There's no shortage of Mexican restaurants on Milwaukee Ave, but Tacos El Rey is my first choice every time!
