Update on my review:
I posted a negative review about a month ago. I am AMAZED at the TURNOVER! I feel like I was actually listened to! Thank you Chipotle 173! I am no longer hesitant to take DoorDash orders from your Chipotle because now they are ready to go when I get there! This has helped me earn more money and keep my customers happy! 😊 There is a huge difference from before, where I can see the hustle and bustle of the employees and I feel like a priority with my takeout orders. I’m so happy about the improvements you’ve made! 😀

My original review:
All I can say is I believe this restaurant is poorly managed. I am a Doordasher. I go to other Chipotles and there is no problem. They have about 4 to 5 people working to get the take-out orders ready on time. At this Chipotle on the other hand, they often have just one person putting the takeout orders together. And it’s as if they don’t care what time the order is supposed to be ready, they’ll get to it when they get to it. In the meantime, oodles of people can walk through the door and have their meals prepared immediately.

Imagine delivering to a customer that has a 1/2 hour lunch break, and you have to deliver 15 to 20 minutes late because Chipotle couldn’t get it ready on time. I feel bad for my customers and I feel bad for myself when it reflects on my tip or lack there of… when I had to waste more time waiting for the order to get ready.
How hard would it be to put two or three people together to get these takeout orders ready on time? Do you need to hire more employees? Do you need to pull staff from other areas to get the job done so that take out customers feel like a priority too? I don’t know, but somehow all the other Chipotles seem to be able to handle it.
I hope 2024 is a better year for you Chipotle 173!

I love chipotle so much, I go there everyday, I get a chicken bowl with queso sauce and I love it. everyone greets me with a beautiful smile and always so nice to me and I just want to thank the mangers for doing their best job making the restaurant experience better.

Heather made our dishes and the amount we were given was amazing. Super welcoming and made our food to perfection. Mya (not sure of spelling) was super kind and caring and made sure we were taken care of. Thank you so much! Will definitely make this our new home Chipotle!

Great place for a fast bite to eat. Menu is basic.. The taste is awesome.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. I know it's a chain but they do amazing burritos. Haven't found another place. Like it. And they always make you feel at home. I'm usually there once or twice a week. Always makes a smile on my face.

I never have any issues with this location. Food is always good and staff is always friendly!

The best Chipotle in America. Great service even an hour before close, kind and patience employees, the portions were chefs kiss, and they were scrubbin’ that place like no other. I trust I’m eating in a clean restaurant. Well done. Let them be the example.

Great customer service!!!! The lunch line was almost out the door...not sure if I was going to have time to time to eat but I went in anyways. The line expedited very quickly, each worker moving diligently w purpose. When I ordered my burrito bowl they were out of chicken but Regena and the rest of the crew quickly worked to get more done so I could have some. My meal was delicious and Regina through some extra cilantro in for me because I love it so much. Thanks Regina and the rest of the lunch crew for a fantastic lunch!!!

The worst food I’ve had in a long time, food was cold and dry! Save your money or better yet eat someplace else!!

I came in for lunch and was stuck behind the male version of a karen. He was treating the workers so poorly for having to wait five minutes. I just want to say the workers did such a great job handling how awful this man was. I told the workers I was sorry for having to deal with him and then the guy started saying rude things to me. Ugh. Some people will never understand working in retail and food service.

As a big Chipotle fan I enjoy having this restaurant in the area. The Machesney Park location is much better quality and provides faster service than the Rockford counterpart. The line here moves much quicker than the Rockford line (even when they are not busy). The staff always greets your with a smile and is generous with the helpings of food you get. You get a much more standardized burrito or bowl here with every trip that is great value for the price.

For being a chain, this place is consistently delicious. The best part is the employees. Every time I go there the kids behind the counter are super nice, funny, and always work to get the order right (even my margarita).

Thank you Chipotle for the delicious free birthday meal you gave us for my husbands birthday! That was a great! We have been regular diners at this location, and the meal has always been fresh, hot, and tasty. 5 stars!

They where so fresh, and soft where it should be & crisp where it should be, I wish I knew the names of all the dishes, but I don't. I went to this place, and it was awesome. My first time going, and the staff was great. They offered their expertise on what to try, and what was best. You basically stand in line, and tell them how you want your food, and they make it in front of you. It's very filling, I almost could not finish the burrito.

I have yet to have gone to a Chipotle that wasn't clean inside and well-maintained. This location is no exception. Their food was well-prepared and the people who worked there were friendly and pleasant. It can get very busy here during a dinner rush and parking then becomes a problem. I'm surprised at how small this location is compared with the location in nearby Rockford. This location serves the entire Northern Greater Rockford area so one would think it should be quite a bit larger.

If you don't know what Chipotle is about, it's somewhat reminiscent of the school cafeteria. You go up to the counter and tell them what you'd like to eat and they prepare it for you. They then push it down the counter towards the checkout station, asking you questions along the way, such as what kind of meat you'd like, what kind of salsa, whether or not you'd like cheese or guacamole, etc. The only food you can get here is tex-mex and it's also very fresh, unlike actual school cafeteria food. They also work hard to source sustainably and to give you containers that are compostable and environmentally-friendly.

Great feature they now offer - order online and pick it up to go. With a toddler and busy schedules, it makes it easier to eat healthfully.
