Beaverdam Lake State Recreation Area

Great place to kayak, canoe, and paddleboard. No gas-powered boats so you don't have to worry about wakes. Tons of parking with ample room to pull down by water to unload. There's a huge picnic area you can rent out with grills, public bathrooms, and a small-ish swimming area with free life jackets. One of my favorite spots to kayak at. During summer there is a fee per car. As of the time I'm writing this review the fee is $7 per car.

Great place to spend the evening or kayak on the lake.

Had a fabulous time here with friends! The only thing that was ODD, was that there were no lights on in the bathrooms… So it was very difficult to see when inside of the restroom, even in the middle of the day. Actually, it was a little creepy! I tried to find a light switch to no avail! Other than that, we had a nice time!

Beaver Dam Access is my go-to place to bring my stand up paddle board. No motor boats are allowed and that makes for some placid, scenic, and RELAXING water time. The facilities are always well maintained. The beaches are wide with great beach to water access.

Great park and great picnic areas... a good time for 2 or the family. Whether it be for kayaking or just swimming. $7 to get in.. $5 for senior or military... cheap great fun.. would reccomend for anyone..

Sure to spot a bald eagle or two and can take an electric motor powered boat out there if you want to get closer. Whether on foot, bike, wheelchair or boat you will truly be with nature like Walt Whitman and Henry David Thoreua would write about.

Nice place for paddling without motorized boats. Good for fishing and swimming. Parking is spacious and picnic areas are well maintained. Beach is wonderful in summer.

Amazing wish there was room to sit and enjoy the peaceful river by the rocks.. but it’s awesome nonetheless

Every time I'm at this lake I wonder why I don't come here more often. It is always so peaceful and beautiful. Everyone that I run into is very friendly.

This a beautiful and fun venue for any type of R&R and gathering. We’ve been here multiple times. It’s nice and peaceful. We love how the swimming area in the lake is enclosed with floaters so kids won’t wander too far. There are small fishes and the sand is nice. There is also a playground there.

No motor boats make this a great place to paddle board or kayak.

Check the wind before heading out here. Because of the shape of the shore it gets the worst of the wind.

Nice for kayaks and paddle boards since there are no gasoline powered boats or jet skis in this section.

Our family of five loves this lake access. We paddle board, kayak, swim. No motorized boats are permitted so it's quiet and safe. There's also a playground for children under 12. We love it so much that we purchased a season pass.

Great for birdwatching in the winter. Lots of ducks in the upper part of the lake, south of Old Weaver Rd. And the best part is no motorized boats! So it was pretty quiet the Saturday in January.

I haven't been here in the summer but there are a TON of picnic tables and shelters and grills. Looks like a great place to bring everyone for a picnic or cookout.

There is also a nice dock for launching canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, or sailboats, with plenty of parking. And a swim beach and a fishing dock or two.

Looks like a lot of trails as well. I plan to come back with my family and take some hikes.

Great picnic area, swimming area was clean and organized...very kid friendly. Grills on site with personal picnic areas.

Relaxing place to kayak, fish or sail. No motorized vessels are allowed in this section of the State Park, so there aren't wakes or fast moving vessels. Boat launching is easy with two ramps and patient users. It is a pleasant break from the busier Falls Lake sections of the park.

A picnic pavilion and swimming beach adjoin the boat ramp.

We've seen eagles, osprey, ducks and herons on the lake.
