Rocco's Pizza

The place had signs on the door they may not be able to serve us due to low staff.

Luckily for us the parking lot was EMPTY and the restaurant only had 2 ppl in it.

The initial smell as you walk in is "old" but it quickly disappears. The place is clean, and staff was very friendly and polite.

After ordering I asked if there were any desserts, the waiter said we have cannoli and chocolate cake. I asked if the cake was house made, he said no. I gambled

One benefit of an empty restaurant is fresh food! The fries we ordered were piping hot and good. Don't let them get cold they do lose their kick of goodness

The chicken Alfredo was good, but you can't mess up cooking pasta, the secret is the sauce.

It did taste like I was eating tuna rather than chicken (same texture and consistency). I'm a fan of tuna so it's a draw, chicken or tuna. The waiter said they don't serve tuna so it's probably chicken.

It's good for sure.

The ultimate chocolate cake has many layers;

it appears to be a dark chocolate icing,
a layer of chocolate cake,
I believe a layer of milk chocolate mousse,
Another layer of cake,
chocolate chips as the outer layer -

Very rich indeed, tastes wonderful. So smooth and creamy. I ordered a second piece!!!!

Great little place to eat. Feels old timey inside, but they have great crab dip and their pepperoni pizza is amazing !!!

2 calzones and French fries ended up being $26...but once we dug in, we're willing to go again, and again, and yet again. AMAZING taste!

My sandwich was good and the wife's lasagna was excellent, however the chocolate mousse cake takes the prize.

The pizza was delicious! We had a ranging of eaters with us and Rocco's accommodated everyone. We were a little worried because they are low staffed and we had a large party but they were on top of it. The salads were good and the pizza was tasty and hot! We will definitely be visiting again this trip!

The crab dip is excellent pizza is really good and they have anchovies

Very impressed with this place. We arrived on a weekday around 8 pm. We were the very last customers. The service was great! We did not feel rushed at all. The pizza, regular crust, was amazing. Breadsticks were great. Cannolis were also amazing. I look forward to returning! The only negative is that they were out of a number of items on the menu because they are getting to closing for the end of the season.

this was one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. we've been going to this restaurant for multiple years and it never gets old. the employees there are super kind and always willing to give a helping hand. the pizza is very good & the cheesy breadstick were banging. the employees try to remember your name and tell you if your order is correct and even ask the boys how long it will actually take to make the food. some of the other reviews that aren't great are lying . 10/10 the one restaurant that makes me leave with a filled stomach and a big smile

I stopped in an Italian place and got a hamburger with fries. But it was wonderful. I think they make their own buns. In any case they were high quality and toasted. Meat was excellent, fries were great. Service was wonderful. Bet the Italian food is good but their hamburgers certainly are great.

Please be patient if no one answers the phone or of you have to wait. They are quick though. They are short of staff due to unaffordable housing and late stimulus checks. It is posted in their business. There is no outdoor dining.They are also one of the only places open on Sunday evenings for dinner. However their pizzas are awesome as well as their wings!!

We ordered take out and my husband picked the pizza up (we were staying at a nearby motel). The young lady who took our order over the phone was pleasant and helpful (since I didn't have a menu and had never eaten there). The price for what we ordered was no more than what we pay at home in Virginia Beach and the pizza was delicious. When my husband returned with the pizza, he said it looked like a nice place and the folks there were friendly and that he'd like to eat at the restaurant next time we visit. So, all in all, it was a 'hit'!

Some of the best pizza I've ever had. I get extra cheese and it's definitely extra. Hard to get slices off the pan when it first gets to the table, because it's so much cheese. Never had French fries like theirs either. There so darn good!!

Rocco's was great pizza (we got a thick crust) that was fast and convenient. Live that they also sell beer by the singles as we didn't need a whole package. Very friendly staff too!

We ordered for pick up. The interior of the restaurant was musty smelling, all the dining area was closed off from view. The flooring was removed down to sub floor, some refrigeration was down. I WANT TO THANK THEM! They are experiencing the effects of hurricane Dorian.
They are facing HUGE ODDS and they are OPEN to the public. They are doing everything in thier power to satisfy the communities needs and doing it very well. Our pizzas were fantastic! Food safety is vital and they are keeping the publuc safe even in these conditions. We visit this area every year. Our first time to Rocco's.
We will be a customer every year now. I appreciate them so so much. Thank you Rocco's for serving your community with love and dedication. We will be seeing you again. Good luck with your repair work.

Best damn pizza in the Outer Banks. Period. Hell everything on the menu is good. I've made it a point to goto Rocco's every time I'm down in Hatteras. The staff is amazing. Place feels homey vs like a chain restaurant; which I personally love. Honestly tho, best damn pizza.

Place gets 5 stars from us. We visited at 4pm on September 23rd, 2017. We were all starving hungry and it was pretty much the only place (worth eating at) in town, every other place was already closed for the season. One person in the party said it was most likely the, "Best tasting calzone" she'd ever eaten.
For a mom and pop type small operation this place does a bang-up-job. Not often I give 5 stars so mark it on the calendar.

My first review ever!! And why might u ask? Cause the pizza is great (and I'm very picky about good pizza) the cheese burgers are amazing (much to my suprise) and the salads are very fresh with great tasting dressings. Suprised at the few negative reviews but every business has a bad night I guess. I've been there 4 or 5 times now and everytime has been good with the food and service...oh and the prices seem very reasonable to me.

Great after a day of unsuccessful fishing, service was awesome, food was delicious, only downside were the drinks. Kinda watered down and the water tasted weird but I would definitely come back. Delicious crab shrimp dip!

You can not go wrong here! Crab dip: excellent! Pizza: excellent. Lasagna: OMG! Service was good, they do need and are in the process of hiring help. Appetizer, 14" pizza (loaded), lasagna, one soda and one beer $50...well worth it! Portions are well above average. Brought home half of the pizza and 2/3's of the lasagna...it will not go to waste! Definitely the best Italian in the area. This is NOT Olive Garden, Carrabba's or anything close to one of those "chains." MUCH, MUCH BETTER!
