Randolph's on the River

The food was absolutely delicious! The fried scallops were cooked to perfection!!
My husband got the seafood platter and everything on it was cooked perfectly, seasoned just right and the portions were generous!! A little pricey but for this quality it is well worth it!! The view is nice and the gentleman who waited on us could not have been more polite! If you like seafood you must give them a visit!!

Skeptical, but curious when I saw Rockfish Rueben on the menu. It was delicious! Rockfish flakey and fried to perfection. Chose twice baked potato and asparagus as my sides. Well rounded, flavorful meal. We have been here before, and we will be back. Clean restaurant and friendly laid back server.

My family and I were taking a road trip from NJ to VA. My mom has always wanted to stop here, she finally got to. There’s a sign at the podium that says “please wait to be seated”, we were seated upon walking in. Very nice staff, beautiful scenery to look at as you’re eating. The food was absolutely AMAZING. I’ve never had such great seafood. We had a variety of things. Crab dip with pork grinds was to die for... we also got, broiled, fried and bacon wrapped scallops, also amazing. Clam strips, shrimp, fish bites 👌🏼. We will definitely be going back! Thank you for a great experience.

Yes, Yes, and Yes. Never would have thought to stop in this little Gem of a restaurant, But I'm soooo glad that I did. The food was amazing. I haven't had gator this delicious since 1998 in New Orleans. And the catfish was divine. I also had a very lovely slice of lime pie, which was great. I'm ecstatic to have dropped in and will be going again soon.

We always have a great experience here. The food is plentiful and considering the state of our economy, reasonably priced. On this visit I enjoyed a bowl of Crab Soup and an order of Firecracker Shrimp. I had 8 huge, perfectly cooked shrimp. My partner had the rockfish Reuben. The grilled fish was cooked to perfection.

If I could give 10 stars this place would get them and deserve every one! I cannot say enough how absolutely fabulous and delicious this food is. The service was fabulous, friendly and fast, but the food is mouthwatering. We had only a few items but they had huge impact! The catfish bites were not over breaded and let the flakey fish melt in your mouth. The spicy boiled shrimp lierallybtasted like mini lobster! Salad was fresh and Ranch dressing homemade. Just try it , you will not be disappointed with the food it the beautiful view!

So let's start with the bad, people that don't want to work when there are plenty of jobs. This restaurant owner and his brother were running around like crazy men trying to wait tables, take orders, clean up etc. Because his workers decided to not come in and they are struggling to find staff.
Now the positive: This was the first time I've ever been here and the restaurant was clean and the view was beautiful. To these two gentlemens credit, despite running the show by themselves they had the food out in a timely manner and it was absolutely delicious. Calamari is one of my favorite dishes and often seems to be a test of a restaurant's ability and I have to say that theirs was the some of the best I've ever had. Go out and support these hard working guys, you won't be disappointed.

What a wonderful experience! I received a warm welcome from the time I walked in. I requested a table for a party of one, and was told that I could feel free to sit anywhere I like. Unfortunately, all of the tables were taken outside, but I was able to grab a booth by the window.
There was still a great view of the river and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Every member of the staff checked on me multiple times to make sure I was comfortable, especially dining alone. The food was great, I had the crab cake sandwich with hush puppies, french fries, and mac&cheese. I will say, if you are use to a rich cheesy mac&cheese, you may want to skip it. I don't eat a lot of seasoning on my food, so the taste was just right for me. I placed my order and it was ready within minutes, there wasn't a long wait at all. I wasn't expecting the service to be so quick, but I was greatful especially after driving over an hour to visit. I am glad I chose this restaurant to drive to today! I will definitely be back! My husband and I love dining here. We live an hour away but stop by every time we are in the area. Food and prices are great. The firecracker shrimp is out of this world.

Is a little pricey but their crab dip was amazing. For once went somewhere that didn't taste like a chain restaurant.. Definitely want to revisit again and again.

I heard about this place from some friends and I had to check it out. The restaurant is beautiful - right on the water. We came on a weekday evening around 6pm and it was pretty packed. I noticed there was no hostess and only two waitresses working about 15 tables and the to go orders. I worked in the service industry for over 4 years I college, and that's pretty brutal.

Once we were sat the waitress was pretty responsive. Our order was taken quickly and our drinks brought out at a good time. I got the sangria and it was delicious. I ordered the 1/2 pound of seasoned boiled shrimp and they were massive, fresh, and delicious.

For my entree I got the fried fisherman's platter. For real y'all the crabcakes are basically just crab and so delicious. You can tell whoever cooked this food put love into it. A friend ordered the broiled fisherman's platter, and the next time I visit I will probably get that. I could not finish my meal but I tried my best.

After we ate, the manager came out and apologized for our wait (I didn't think it was that bad). He said it's been hard to find wait staff since the pandemic, which is actually a big problem for hourly wage + tip employees right now.

Unless you have done time in the service industry, y'all need to stop complaining. Negligence and incompetence is different than being understaffed. Our waitress was very good, but she was clearly overwhelmed. That's not her fault and you shouldn't judge a restaurant on it.

Great place I will 100% drive out of my way to eat here again.

Drinks with a view - can’t ever go wrong with that! The cocktail list was amazing with adventurous mixes. The food was definitely stronger in presentation and tastiness. The staff was awesome. I really enjoyed looking at the river next to the restaurant.

seemingly unremarkable, but it’s a gem. Great steak, beautiful sight. I wish they could brew cappuccino, it would make it the best in quite a while in my personal list.

Randolphs on the river is a great little seafood eatery in Port Royal. Its great food, great service. The owners are nice (Bob and Harry) our waitress (Kerri) was amazing and funny. The crab dip with the homemade pork rinds were outstanding

We took a little bike ride today to Randolph's on the River for lunch. The place was jumping when we got there and we had a small wait for a table but it was worth it cause we got seated right next to the windows. Our server ( Jessica) was very nice and helpful and if I was 50 years younger I would definitely try for a hookup!I ordered the chowder and I've got to say it was the best I had eaten in a long time, I should have had two bowls! This place was Great and when I'm back up that way I gonna get me some more of that chowder

Exquisite seafood! An absolute gem discovered on our summer road trip. Every dish cooked to perfection. Seafood was fresh and the options excellent. We'll be planning future trips sounds a meal at this fabulous establishment.

This is a quaint restaurant right on the water. Depending on your seating, you can watch boats load and unload from the trailers or motor around on the water. The food is fresh and tasty. Service was friendly and attentive. Nice people and location all around. Picnic tables, covered deck dining, and indoor dining options to meet any preference.

Great service..Jessica was helpful, friendly and professional! Food excellent..and very nice view of the river. Be prepared to wait - very busy at lunch on Saturday, but worth it!

What a beautiful view from inside of the water, I wish I would have timed my visit for Sunset! The food was awesome. You must order the crab dip 🦀. The shrimp were like mini lobster tails they were so big, and their burgers 🍔 😋 were huge!! I can't believe it took me so long to find this little jewel!! Service was great, but they were a little short-handed the day I stopped, but they made up for it the delightful meal!!

Great food, service, and location! The quality of the food at Randolph’s is excellent, and has stayed consistent over the years. The restaurant also provides a nice view of the river.
