Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino

Had some time, hit up the Casino. It was like 11am on a Tuesday and they only had 2 blackjack tables open but I was literally the only one there for about 40 minutes and I have to say it was great. Not the most extravagant gaming experience but it nice and no-pressure, own pace type of deal.
Dealer was nice, table was clean, drink service was quick. No complaints.

If employee quality is worthy of a review then 5 stars it is. Angel is a good guy that (without realizing it) went out of his way to be… just plain nice. His genuine interactions with us made our day. He doesn’t know us or expect this shout out. But I felt the need to give props where due. He is the kind of guy that makes a good memory of a trip. Good on you, Angel!

Great for a 3 star accommodation. Didn't get any room service despite being out of the room from 7am-4pm. Great location. Walking distance to anything near stateline. Another guest told us they think you had to request it, I still don't know. Would recommend and stay again

Went to check in. I was told last night was a sellout that had no rooms available yet. We will call you when your room is ready. Slept in my truck for 3 hours, waiting for a call. No call, went back to check in, and the room ready to go. Asked why they did not call me earlier when the room was ready. We don't call people, he replied! I said 3 hours ago you said you would call me with room ready. I don't remember. Luckily enough, when the rest of my party of 15 came up, I told just to go to Ballys and check in. Thank you for your great customer service. I was in 1503, and the shower was the worst one I ever used. I learned a good lesson that trip.

First time going there since it was the hard rock. It was a clean and safe environment. Lots of people. We are definitely going back

This review is for the cocktail server, Kate that worked the floor last night, April 15th. She was very friendly and attentive and kept the drinks coming. Super quick and efficient! Thank you for taking care of us and everyone else in the casino. You made losing our money on the slot machines more bearable. Lol Take care and thanks again!

I didn't stay at the hotel, I visited the casino. It has better slots than the bigger name casinos. The dealers at the card tables were very friendly. Drink service was spot on. The restroom was very clean. We will definitely be going back before we head home.

Love it here. Went to Tahoe on weekend and want to go clubbing on Saturday night but 2 big clubs were close, so just turn this place to dancing club. Thanks lady for playing live ukulele

Bartender was the best. Super friendly and informative. Smiling the day away. Just walked over from Harvey's, so I did not see the rooms. Fun little casino.

I am accompanying my hubby on his business trip, as we both love South Lake Tahoe. On previous trips, we've stayed at five of the other hotels in the area. It's our first time staying at The Golden Nugget. The hotel is centrally located, so it's close to everything. Our room is pretty spacious, looks clean, and we have a great view from our window! The bathroom is small-ish, but clean and nice. One of the lamps isn't working, and some of the furnishings are wiggly/unstable and could use a bit of love. For the price, though, we are plesantly surprised. The only real bummer is that there is no mini-fridge in the room.
There are excellent restaurants right here in the hotel/casino! In the morning, you can sit and have a proper breakfast at Alpine Union, or, if you're itching to hit the slopes, you can grab a hot latte and a pastry from Refuel. We are here for a four-night stay. Last night was our first night here. We had intended to try Park Prime Steak & Bar. Unfortunately, it was closed to the public for a private event. So we decided to try Alpine Union. Turns out we were NOT disappointed! (The chicken Cobb salad was amazing!) We have other plans for tonight, but tomorrow, we're going back to try Park Prime. We are surprised at how many retail shops are right here in the hotel. And we're within walking distance to lots of other stores, hotels, casinos, and restaurants if we so desire. All in all, we're loving this trip! We may have found our go-to location!

Really enjoyed the casino here. While we didn't stay here on this trip, we would definitely try it another time. Don't miss the oyster bar...it is 10 star fabulous!

Good Casino came out of there on top $285. Great place right next to the Lake Tahoe. Beautiful atmosphere

The hotel is exactly what you need for a stay in Lake Tahoe, it has an excellent location, the rooms are very spacious and equipped with everything you need for a long stay, we made a request to change our room since we were going with our baby and they attended to our request immediately.

Fah and RJ are the best! They made us feel so special while by the pool. Golden Nugget is the best. ❤

This hotel was a perfect place for a little getaway. Yes, you pay for parking but almost all hotels charge for it? The front desk ladies were super nice and a quick easy check in/ check out. I had questions in regards to my bill and the manager Anna came out and was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel was a great vibe, all workers had friendly customer service. Sweetest lady at the Fuel coffee shop , Center Bar bartenders were awesome, Alpine had good food and strong drinks! Highly recommend, view from my balcony lakefront was stunningly beautiful made every penny worth it. 👏🏼 Will be back soon!

The room was economical, clean, and well maintained. The lake/sunset views from the 15th floor were just WOW! I'm so grateful I was able to stay here and enjoy the views on my visit to South Lake Tahoe.
We had some issues with our thermostat- which were promptly addressed and resolved by the incredible maintenance department.
The restaurant staff was great, too.
The shuttle to reno/tahoe airport stopping here was also an added bonus!

The slots seem loose! Based on first visit. Who knows, maybe I just got lucky? Keep that house edge low, and people will keep returning! I know I will. I'm a 7stars member at Caesars, and I was very impressed by the one wolf machine I played. I think I won $100 on a $10 bet? Woulda lost $500+ at caesars, no doubt! Haven't tried the food yet.
