Bergen Water Gardens & Nursery

I'd only previously purchased orchids from Bergen Water Gardens when they would come to local shows in Rochester and Buffalo, but never made the trip to their greenhouses in Churchville, until finally last weekend I popped in. I've always been pleased with their show plants, but it was amazing to walk into their vast collection in their greenhouses! They have many, many genera! And Lily, the owner, was very helpful and took time to show me where I would find certain genera and showed me a few of her favorites. You'll have no shortage of options here! The owners are very friendly and helpful, and the plants are great quality! I highly recommend you make the trip and check out their business.

What an unusual little gem! So many gorgeous varieties of lotus. But also a large selection of carnivorous plants - nepenthes pitcher plants, Venus fly traps, sundew, pings and quite a few different varieties of orchids - Vanda, dendrobium, tolumnia - to name a few. Also some orchid bark and the good type of sphagnum moss, orchid potting medium. You won't find these plants in your typical garden store, definitely worth checking out

I transferred my potted lillies to in ground. The deer discovered them, but that should keep them from taking over the pond, as my friends have warned me. The fish were using the pots to nest in, so that is a newbie fail on my part.

The location of this company has always been a favorite spot of mine, my grandfather was born around here. It is located on route 33 in the town of Bergen ny . I having been coming here since it has opened years and years ago.
The owners and employees who work here are doing a fantastic job of turning their business into a great place to come and see all the interesting things you can do to your pond at your home.
All of there items that they sell are at the highest quality and standards.

A pretty neat place year round. They have many orchids and carnivorous plants as well as the lotus, koi and pond supplies. The owner and workers are helpful and knowledgeable.

Love all the beautiful varieties of Lily's and Lotus. Got an Orchid air plant too and it's so cool!! A must see / place to buy quality flowers. Lily and Larry are not only quite knowledgeable but are also awesome people!!

Incredible collection ranging from orchids to lillies and lotus to carniverous plants. They biggest collection I've seen for purchase and enjoying. They have their own ponds and a beautiful chinese pagoda that they imported and constructed. It's a great visit.

I’ve ordered a few tropical plants (Nepenthes) from Bergen online a couple times and they’re always extremely healthy on arrival! It’s obvious the owners really care for their plants and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again.

I love the variety in this shop, plus most of the plants offered are not the typical plants you can just get anywhere. This store is a little gem right here in our own area ❤

Very high quality orchids were shipped to me. Shipping box had heating pouch inserted to protect plants from the cold during shipment which was a surprise to me. Highly recommend Bergen.

A lovely selection and even lovelier people! I couldn't recommend enough! Even if you don't have an interest in carnivorous plants they have tons of other plants as well please take the time and look at the Lotus'!

We’ve been here the the second year of this place. I love this is so much, the owner her and her husband so very friendly. I they have a wonderful and all different Lotus Lily water and I love the orchid flower. They have so many different types when I come to there remind me about my country Vietnam. Then after that make me bring home with five (5)different orchid. Love you so much. Thank you for all your working hurt I and my family thank you! amazing festival this year.

I was there on Saturday and was very impressed with the inventory. The prices were far more reasonable than what i pay in Buffalo. The orchid selection was amazing. I went there to purchase a Lotus and left with a hardy water lily, 2 lotus and 2 orchids. I will return for a tropical water lily when it gets warmer

They have a very large selection of beautiful healty carniverous plants and orchids. If you can't make it in store they have a website and they're super helpful on getting you the plants you want. 10/10 would recommend them to anyone again and again.

I am so glad I found this gem of a nursery! The owners, Larry and Lily, are always helpful with any questions I have and take their time with me - I’ve never felt rushed. I’ve always felt very comfortable leaving with every plant I’ve bought from them. They have lots of different kinds of carnivorous plants ranging in prices (literally something for everyone’s budgets from less expensive common plants to rare higher price point plants), and we are very fortunate to have a nursery that has some very rare specimens available at reasonable prices. They have the largest selection of lotus available outside of China, and are known for their beautiful displays in the summer when the lotus are in bloom. I really appreciate the passion they have for their business!

I have made a trip to the gardens annually for 7-8 years. Each year brings increasing awe as Lily and Larry keep adding greenhouses and more water garden beds. The carnivorous plants - Sundews, Pitcher plants, Venus Flytraps are too numerous to count. Orchids and lotus are spectacular. Well worth a road trip.

These people are wonderful to do business with! Not only were their prices great, their free shipping was extremely fast. The order was carefully packed with a little personalized note from Li Li, thanking me for my business. Even the UPS driver was smiling when he delivered it, imagine that in these times! They also patiently answered each question that I had even though my order wasn't huge. They obviously care about their customers, a rare thing! Contrast that with a different seller that I just ordered from, from whom I ordered lotus tubers three full weeks ago which have just barely arrived, and who also won't answer a simple question even though I emailed it twice... and who only sent part of my order. From now on I will ONLY do business with Bergen Water Gardens and I think you would very happy if you did too!

What an incredible nursery! The owners were incredibly helpful and generous as we visited in order to purchase plants for a library program. I can't wait to come back in the summer to see the lotus blossoms at their peak!

Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff and a huge selection of well-maintained plants. There's no other place that compares to it around here. You won't want to leave empty handed!
