Kept going to ACE not knowing this was closer. Went there once and immediately knew this was going to be my new hardware store. Excellent customer service and knowledgeable.

Words or stars can not describe how great this place is. Again, I made the mistake of going to Ace hardware as they mislead and overcharge and that waists time. Gilbert's representatives are truly knowledgeable in every aspect as well polite. I truly appreciate your Stoic ways Great job to all.

One of the great American neighborhood hardware stores! Was trying to find replacement rollers for a 20 year old screen door...Home Depot didn't have it, Amazon didn't have it...Gilbert's Hardware had it!! Go here first. If they don't have it, nobody else will have it!

I have been shopping at Gilbert Hardware since 2013, the store is always kept clean and stocked. The recent updates which include the rearranging of aisles and the new LED lighting make shopping there even better. The staff are always friendly and helpful, keep up the great work and service.

The place you go for project needs! When you cant find you just ask.They always have more then enough staff on hand. The staff has always been able to answer any questions or provide any hard to find materials. Or at least another solution to the problem. They also offer a rewards program to honour your buisness.

So I'm repairing a very old laundry tub drain that's leaking, the old drain parts just crumble in my hands.

The PVC plastic replacement parts found in my Google search were stupid expensive - $60+ (and you pay shipping) for a plastic drain assembly for a double tub laundry sink! For that price they can keep it!

I had watched a unrelated plumbing video from Gilbert's Pro Hardware on YouTube and from going to their website I found that they were located a couple of cities over from me.

On a lark I fought rush hour traffic and drove to their store to see if they could help me.

The parts they had were not the exact replacement parts for my drain but they did fit with a little massaging, the drain don't leak anymore, I didn't have to pay and wait a week for shipping, and all of the parts cost less than $38.

Some people get caught up with wanting the"exact replacement parts" thing and will play the "buy it and return it if it doesn't fit" game, that's time and money wasted IMHO.

when it comes to old plumbing, a experienced hardware person that understands what you are trying to do is invaluable.

Every worker here is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. The customer service is a huge step up from Home Depot or Lowe’s. Support the small shops!

I have an old house, so I knew that finding parts for the shower valve would be a challenge. Before going to Gilbert's, I went to five different plumbing specialty shops and none of them had a replacement part or even knew enough about the old fashioned valve stem to refurbish it. Finally, a friend recommended Gilbert's. I was greeted with a warm smile and a great willingness to help. When I showed them the valve stem, without hesitation the woman behind the plumbing counter (Jen) took it said, "I can refurbish that for you, no problem." It took a little bit of trial and error to get it perfect, but the staff took on the task and lived up to their solid reputation.

Gilbert’s always have what I need for the house in a pinch. Staff is willing to help whenever they see you and they are always knowledgeable.

Love this place as soon as you walk someone asks if they can help you. In and out in minutes with what you need, no hassle. Their rewards system is actually awesome!

Always helpful with whatever I need. I had a water spigot I needed to repair and the employee saved me a big hassle by basically rebuilding the old school handle and stem. This is my go to for screen and storm window repair. Very knowledgeable staff and a huge array of plumbing parts.

First experience - looking for replacement line for my fire pit and the Fireplace and BBQ store didn't have what I needed. On my way out another patron suggested I check Gilbert's and boy was I happy I did.
Prices were same as what I was seeing online but they had what I needed in stock, and helped me find it.
This is my first stop for any hardware needs as they have an incredibly helpful and competent staff who will help you find what you need for your DIY, and it seems like they have custom services like screen repair too.
Asset to the neighborhood - sorry I just found out about them.
