This park was named after my grandfather Theodore Grant Scheid JR. I remember going to its dedication opening many years ago with my father Theodore Grant Scheid lll. So glad it has brought so much joy to the community of sterling Illinois.

This park is a hidden gem in the West end of Sterling Illinois. Not only is it a normal park, but on Summer day's it converts to the best soccer field in a 100 mile radius. This park can be more than that with the attention of the city and it's citizens. It's a treasure.
