The Happy Spot

We are very glad Arnie's Happy Spot has reopened, awesome chicken, great salad bar, fantastic drinks, and lots of friendly faces. We will be back again soon!!

Took the Family out for dinner, Me and my youngest had the Fried Chicken special boy was that hot and juicy, My oldest got himself a tenderloin sandwich he thought it was delicious, and the Wife got herself a slice of Lasagna, She loved it,. Plenty of meat and cheese, the sauce was sweet and spiced. Will definitely be going back again. For all the meals you definitely get what you pay for

We hadn't been there in a couple of years. But our nephew recently bought it. So we drove out for dinner. It's such a nice place. They have a nice little salad bar. Everything was very fresh. We tried the chicken bites and corn nuggets for appetizers. Both were really good. My husband ordered the cod. It was a huge piece. I ended up getting grilled chicken. Again, it was a very large piece. Very tasty. We'll be back, especially since family owns it now! 😁

The Happy Spot has great food and farm decor. The tables have plenty of room to get around. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. We went on a week night and could get right in. We ordered cocktails and browsed the menu. They have a nice salad bar and our food came in a timely manner. The chicken and fish were delicious. It takes us about an hour to get there but it’s worth the trip.

Great frog legs, chicken and drinks. Service with a smile. Will come back.

I haven't been here for 25 yrs but joined some friends for dinner. Very good food, just as I remembered. Our nutty waitress (Casey) was a lot of fun and we could tell she was a person that loves her job. Her ability to take sarcasm made our evening very enjoyable. good food/good service.

Family had a gathering for our oldest member my sister-in-law's Birthday.Amazing people at the front register and a good old friend to say hi.The food was exceptionally great and the help was just as good. A great time we all had and will be back for sure!

One of the best places to stop in for breakfast, try the omelets, they're huge and totally fantastic. The thing that compliments delicious food is great service and you get both at Annie's happy spot! Stop in and feed ya face and meet some cool peeps while you're there 😃!

The food, atmosphere, and service was really great. We had the pick 3 appetizers, chicken dinner and a one half pound hamburger and side salads which were all really good. This was our first visit, we will definitely be back soon. You must try it.

This is one of our favorite places for Chicken. Deep fried only like it's done in Northwestern IL. If you go on Thursday or Friday split a half and you can have dinner for a pair for under 10$ (seriously!).

I would argue that this place may be as good as Rip's without any of the hassle or the lines. Give it a try, well worth the drive.

I've been all over the country and I have a love for off the beaten path, unique places. This is one of them (and it's just down the road!)

Service is excellent even when busy. Prices are reasonable... drinks are cheap and they have fried pickles. We have never had a bad meal here.

Cute little restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Good food & good service! Be sure to check out their Facebook for chicken specials. They also have daily specials on drinks. It's a shame the old building burnt down boy did they rise from the ashes. If you aren't in the mood for chicken I recommend the catfish, it's phenomenal.

We enjoyed the food and the decor of the new restaurant. The staff accommodated our very large group about 10 minutes before they were set to stop serving. Great service. Will definitely return soon.

Fried chicken was great, not a fan of fresh french fries they needed to be cooked longer.

Their salad bar is awesome! The chicken was too. I had the strips and my family had the chicken. Everything was hot and good!

This is an amazing place to go! Great food, out standing service. Support this family owned restaurant. Next time you're in the area. Get the chicken strips!! You won't be sorry

As with any restaurant cooks have good days and bad days. Waitresses always have a smile.

This super clean restaurant and fabulous food gets 5 stars. The waitress was fun and it made our dinner very enjoyable. I would highly recommend.
