What a fun location to explore. The many dragons and wizards were great to take pictures with, and the castle was a blast to wander thru and pretend to be a knight! I felt like I was visiting Hogsmead from Harry Potter!

Very cool attraction! Definitely recommend whether you are a DnD fan or not. There are so many things to see that even when you think you've seen it all in an area I'll bet there is something in a nook or cranny you missed. Definitely recommend for kids of all ages.

We were here for the eclipse in 2024, and I can't say enough good things about this park. We were here from about 8:30 am to 3 pm, and even after the eclipse was over we still had to pry the kids away from the park they'd been enjoying all day. The 2yo kept going back into the castle, and even the 11yo said he was still getting lost in it and finding secret passages. A fence encloses the park, though be aware there are 2 open gates on opposite sides. The only restrooms are port a potties, but they were cleaned and well-maintained. Though the castle is not handicap accessible, a disabled parent can easily come into the park and watch their kids play. The giant sleeping dragon was also a huge hit. Thank you so much for this amazing place!

This place is AMAZING!!! The castle is one of the coolest things in the world for kids. Endless tunnels and paths and mazes and even trap doors. Wow! Such a cool and impressive park. We will always come back to bring our son here!! Such a special place!

It's worth the detour if you have children or not. Plenty of activities and Instagram opportunities. The castle is a huge fort of interconnecting bridges and tunnels. If you're trying to wear the children out for the car ride this is the place to stop!

What a great place! The castle was fun to wander in, even as an adult. The sculptures are all very interesting. Love that it is free! They also have shirts for sale! The office is across the street in a large 2+ story house

Such a nice park for kids and adults alike! Father built park in honor of his beloved son Jeremy! Castle is a maze of angles, stairs, and rope/plank bridge with lots of friendly medieval character statues!

Been wanting to come to this park since 2020. However, we live in Florida and on our yearly RV trip we don’t always make it to Southern Illinois. Well, we finally made it and this park is awesome. At first glance. My kids didn’t know what to make of it and by the end they didn’t want to leave.
A note to whom ever designed the castle portion of this park and all the beautiful handmade benches, please start a career as a playground designer. We go to hundreds of playgrounds a year and they all stink. This one is on for adults and kids and I love all the nooks and crannies and hidden doors.

Grown ups will enjoy as much as children when you explore the hidden gem of a park dedicated to the memory of the owners son who tragically died in an accident. Boo loved Dungeons and Dragons and his father and friends transformed this magical park into a castle and grounds where dragons and wizards roam. Trap doors await with hidden passages to open up in a different room in the castle. Beautiful flower beds surrounding metal sculptures of winged creatures. We visit a couple times a year and find new things that we have never seen. Bring your kids and try keeping up with them as they wonder in amazement. What an incredible place.

I think what this family has done to honor their child is spectacular! This park is such a cool place for children and D&D fans to visit. I don't know how the game is played but there are many characters set up throughout the park. The adult size castle fort is much larger than we thought it would be. It's a great place to check out if you're in the area. They have a donation box there so try to take some cash with you to drop in.

Great place to take the kids! The castle playground is so much fun and the dragon statues really make it unique. The kids are already begging to go back!

Unreal...coolest playground ever! Castles, wizards and dragons, oh my! They even sell t-shirts the place rocks. Check it out, especially if you dig the medieval vibe.

What an awesome tribute. Spent a good long while wandering around. Look hard there are surprises everywhere. We arrived about an hour or so before dusk and the park was still full of kids having a blast. It was awesome seeing Moms and Dads just as excited to play with the dragons and wizards as the kids. Runs on donations, so be sure to drop a bit in the donation box. Worth the drive. Plan for some time and they have places to picnic. If you go around dusk, don't forget your bug spray. The mosquitoes were out and taking names.

This park is incredible. As a 6 foot tall individual, I don't recommend trying to climb through the castle. It's like it's sized for kids or something. Beautiful sculptures all around and you can sit on some of them!

A hidden gem!! No clue this place existed until my gps took me the back roads to carbondale. I love the story behind it, a lovely memorial park. It looks straight out of a kids book, will be going back

We seen this on the internet and thought ok will go look! We were there a few hours. I have to admit we both became kids again. (Our grandkids would be proud of us) Boo Park is wonderful. He had a great imagination! He put me right into his imagination . We have so many more pictures but it will only let me put up 50 photos.

Such a beautiful place.... even my teenagers played. This was really worth the 4 hour drive to be there. Wish there was a park closer to home like this.
