Great hidden gem. First time visit. Prices are decent and fair. Family pack with 1 pound of meat was around $27. Family owned. Award winning bbq. Tons and tons of trophies, ribbons, and awards to prove it. Saw one from 2022 so they are still very relevant. Brisket was amazing and the sauce was good. Inside or outside seating. Bring the family! And the turkey was very good. Will be back.

I wished they had baked potatoes 🥺. I had a few different meats. Real good bbq.

Just look at the brisket in the photo!!! It was delicious!! I haven’t tried any other dishes yet but so far this is definitely the best bbq I’ve had in Temple Tx this far. The Mac and cheese was good too

My wife and I stopped here for lunch and ordered two of the single meat plates, and each added a second meat to our plates. It is just too good to have one meat and makes it less difficult to choose. My wife had brisket, ribs w/ potato salad and the green beans. I chose brisket, sausage, macaroni n' cheese, and green beans also. No complaints, just compliments. Brisket melts in your mouth both lean or not. The robs were tender and flavorful. All of our sides were great but those green beans are just top notch. 👌
The ladies that serve up the dishes are wonderfully greetful and respectful. Great character and class. Nice atmosphere and my wife said she had a wonderful time.
Will be frequenting this place more often and a big recommend for anyone wanting good tasty BBQ, come and join us.

The food is quite good, and the prices are lower than one would expect. An added bonus is that you can bring in your own beer, wine and spirits if you so desire. They are very generous with the cuts of meat they give and also with the quantity in the sides. We go every three weeks, along with two other restaurants, with a group of friends, and everyone seems glad it's Fat Boys time on our rotation.

BBQ is pretty good here locally. Old school atmosphere. Simple ordering line quality meat. We've tried brisket, sausage, and BBQ chicken. Broccoli salad is yummy. Large drink cups & free refills.
Often the owner is on-site. We've been here multiple times to dine in. They also have a drive through and take phone orders. I like the BBQ sauce. 😁

Best BBQ this sideof Abilene. Great little family owned eatery. offers a variety of bbq from brisket to sausage with an assortment of sides. Well worth the stopon anyones trip through Temple Texas.

Dropped in for some bbq based on a recommendation. Got the senior plate 1/4 chicken with beans and greens. Both sides homemade and delicious. The chicken was tasty, perfectly smoked. The bbq sauce on the side was a great compliment to the chicken.

Great service. This is very good barbacue Temple. Great homemade sides. Bananna pudding is awesome, and homemade.

Great price on family pack. Enough to feed 5 or 6.

I ordered a brisket sandwich and I was not disappointed with it!
It had the smoke it had the flavor that is Texas bbq!
I also enjoyed the bbq sauce and the potato salad everything was fresh and delicious I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be making a return to Fat Boy’s bbq soon.

Just discovered this place. Stopped in to grab my hubby a brisket plate with potato salad and beans. He is so picky and has tried many bbq joints in this town and didn't like any of them. He LOVED this place! Said it was the best brisket he's had since his papaw (who was famous for his bbq) passed 20+ years ago! Will definitely be back

Everything was great ! Nothing out of the ordinary , but the food was good. My only disappointment was in the bbq sauce. It was very watered down. It really tasted like the ingredient list for the bbq sauce called for 95% H20. 🥲. I am not sure if it was just made wrong today or this is the exact intent.

I would come here again though. (Also drive-thru is only available at the moment , not sure for how long)

Fat Boys BBQ is awesome! You will never leave hungry. They’ve catered a 600+ person wedding for us, as well as my mother’s memorial service (and on short notice). There wasn’t a scrap of food left after the wedding and they brought extra food just in case! Super professional, always delicious, and the nicest folks to be found anywhere. Great people and great food! They reserve their weekends for God, family and catering events, and you gotta respect them for having their priorities right!

Wonderful BBQ, service, and prices. Impressed with the jalapeno sausage and banana pudding. Will try the ribs next time for sure. Also like they have the Big Red type soda hah.

Had the best pulled pork sandwich. Will be back for another soon.

Good BBQ, salty greens, awesome potato salad. We came for late lunch & low on supply after providing for catering. But we got what we needed...a good bbq. The establishment needs a physical renovation. Its family-owned as it boast of its numerous trophies displayed on countertops & wall, but it's an eyesore. It needs a touch of an Interior Decorator or at least with artistic prowess for I am sure it will boost more sales & a guarantee for travellers to come back. The bathroom is terrible & needs improvement on cleaning service. There's a lot to improve on the physical aspect of the establishment.

Fat Boys BBQ is the BEST IN TEXAS! Not to mention how incredible they are catering events! We have used them for our FFA banquets, weddings, and much more! The food is always wonderful and the family is great!
