I would like to commend Jana Wells with the VA Commission in Temple, Texas.
She has been assisting my husband for over 8 years. I had the honor of meeting her a few days ago, she loves her job and she loves veterans! That is such a blessing to all of the men and women who represent our country!
Thank you for hiring such an amazing woman that has a heart that radiates LOVE!

I called and the representative in Temple was able to tell me what he could see in the system. The issue is WACO, is not documenting or updating records in the system once recieved. Veterans should be able to know the status of thier claims at all levels. Even the board of Appeals.
The system is terrible!

Had a test on 08/28/2023 and before the test was even conducted The individual giving the test went and got someone else who indicated I was being "uncooperative" and that if I was not going to take the test I should just leave. I advised this individual that I'll take the test but that they need to understand I have medical problems which interferes with the test. I have a hole in my voice box due to Cancer which makes it very difficult to swallow, eat, and breath at times. I've passed out several times due to food and saliva caught in the hole. The first person to see me never asked any questions as to if I had any medical problems that could interfere with taking the test. She was very Rude! and inconsiderate. No pleasantries, No consideration for people with mobility problem's or other medical limitations.

One should remember this organization is beholden to the VA. You will receive assistance in completing forms, the forms required and sending forms to the correct department. However, if you file for disability you will more likely not receive advice on how to win your claim even if the Commission employee has knowledge or information that would cause your claim to be approved. You should consider asking the Commission employee for suggestions on how to win your claim. You should consider asking the Commission employee if they have ever experienced circumstances where the VA fabricated evidence, omitted evidence or failed to follow regulations to deny a claim. You should consider asking how you might avoid the VA's illegal acts and have your disability claim approved.
