Longleaf Shelter - Harris Lake County Park

I love this park. It's extremely new and clean. Free entrance. A lot of parking space. Tables for barbeque. The lake is beautiful. So many people enjoying the nature on boats, ski and scooters. My daughter enjoy the new playground with tunnel.

Great park with many amenities a beautiful lake view, walking trails, fishing, shelters, picnic tables with charcoal grills, an amazing playground, sand volleyball court, open fields, disc golf and so much more. We love spending time at the park with our kids and dogs.

Just a great place to reconnect with nature's beauty. If you go to the main office they have great staff and can answer most of your questions. Despite covid and everything else going on today it is the best place to escape..even if it's only for a few hours.

Very nice place for 6 miles trekking

We used this shelter many times for family events. It's perfect size for our large family, close for the small kids to play and convenient to restrooms. We will come again!

Very serene, especially during the week days. Also shady, which matters in the summer.

A good place for kids to run around freely and enjoy the nature. There is a kids playground generally for ages 5 and older, but toddlers can also enjoy some parts of it, with close supervision.

There are many opportunities for fishing and kayaking. Trails are well maintained, but get muddy after the rain, with some parts nearly impassable - wear hiking shoes is strongly recommended if you're going after a rainy week. They aren't really suitable for anything wheeled.

Great park for the kids to play. Has a small dock for fishing or just siting with a great view of the lake. Very clean. Great place for a picnic or family day out.

Beautiful big green park, many walking and bike trails, also there's fishing and boating on the huge lake. Big playground for the kids too. Has public restrooms and a soda vending machine, no food unless you pack your own. A really nice day out away from the home base.

First time kayaking ever and this is a perfect lake to do it. Not too many waves from the boats and tons of places to explore!

Multiple access points to the river. Can use private boats. The shelters and restroom are good.

Wonderful bike trails and by far the best children's playground.
