Rocky Top Campground & RV Park

Rocky Top is in an awesome spot, only a few miles off the Interstate! We were greeted by an extremely nice man who immediately escorted us to our site. The grounds are beautiful, very well kept and nicely landscaped...I dare anyone to try and find a weed growing anywhere on the property! 😆 The sites are a bit tight, but like everything else meticulously clean and kept. We felt safe and secure in the campground. The only one negative I have is, one of the campground neighbors has a rooster... this rooster did what roosters do. After the initial annoyance, it was easy to ignore and fall back to sleep. I would definitely go back there again!!

We stayed at the Rocky Top RV Park for 2 nights. Lovely grounds. Unfortunately, we were the pullthrough that was next to the fence by the near by road, so we heard the traffic all the time, and we faced the dumpster. Ah well. We were glad to have a pullthrough. Spots are a little tight. Our RV is small (24 ft) but we were pulling a dolly with car. But, the landscaping throughout the park is LOVELY. Terraced sites, flowers, trees, bird feeders throughout. We didn't use any of the facilities, but the on-site office folks were pleasant and helpful. It was a great spot to use to branch out to Johnson City, Boone Lake, Bristol and surrounding areas. We will definitely stay again when we're in that area.

A great place to stay. A little tricky getting my big rig in, 42Ft. toyhauler with a F-450 pulling it. Very clean and quite enough.

This was an overnight stay for us. The campground is quiet and clean. Rv spaces are even and spacious. Love that they feed the animals throughout the park. Wish the dog area was better cared for. Be careful pulling out, traffic chines quick around the corner and you can't see it till they are coming at you.

We stayed one night on our way up I-81 so we did not use or explore any of the amenities and cannot comment on those. The staff we dealt with were very nice and helpful. The grounds are very well maintained and the landscaping is very appealing. It was really nice having flowers providing pops of color on our site and around the campground. The campground was kept nice and tidy, including the full time campers we saw there. There was some road noise but it wasn’t too bad.

I can not say enough about this place. Miguel the camp host is a great guy. Super friendly and quick to respond to any issues you may have. The maintenance crew there were also very friendly. Had an issue with a pvc line. Maintenance had that issue fixed within a couple hours. The place is well kept. Beautiful landscaping. Very inviting. Bath house was always clean. Never ran out of hot water. Country store on site has most of everything you would need. If I could have gave them a higher rating, I would have. Great place to stay.

This campground is so quiet and the spots are spaced to give the most privacy.
Miguel was so patient and accommodating with us.
He is a great host and will work with you to the best of his ability.
We were very impressed with
this gem. We will be back.

Great atmosphere. There are no dogs off leashes, no loud parties, just great neighbors.

Was only there for a very short stay. But a beautiful place of quiet and serenity. If you want to relax and not have to deal with crazy people this is the place.

The owner of the camp grounds was very hopeful. He came to help me find out why my camper slides were not working. He also suggested that I would purchase a new and bigger battery. He also told me where I could buy a battery. This was a great help.

Awesome place to stay, management and the owner were quick to make any fixes for me and made my stay warm and welcoming

Nice campground. As it was just an overnight stop we did not use any of the facilities. We were arriving after the office closed, the map to our site was left by the office door, as we were advised by text. It was our second time at this campground when we were traveling north on I 81. We will stop here again on our travels.

Park was very clean and quite. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly during our stay and anytime he saw us outside he always stopped to chat. Would definingly stay again and recommend this RV park. Thanks we really enjoyed our stay.

We were back this week for our third visit to Rocky Top. Again an enjoyable, clean, and quiet atmosphere to complement our RV needs. Jim and his staff are friendly and courteous as always. There are many improvements going on that are adding to the experience of the Park. For the first time we utilized the shower facilities here and they were clean, private, and plenty of hot water. Our advice is make sure you plan to stay here when traveling through eastern Tennessee. You won't be disappointed!!

Just traveling through, it was easy off rt 81, only spent one night. We checked out the showers and bathrooms, though, OMG, they were amazing! We would highly recommend this campground. Part of it is on a hill, though.

Very nice campground that is 21+. Stayed one night while passing through the area. The campground was nicely landscaped and very quiet. Our pull through spot #30 was very level and easy to maneuver in and out of. You have to go uphill to get into some of the spots in this campground, so you may want to research the different site numbers.

Our 2 week stay at Rocky Top Campground could not have been better. Our pull through site was perfect. The campground is very well maintained and all of the RVs were up to date. The staff is helpful and friendly. This will be our destination campground when we return to the Bristol, TN area.

I visited the campground for a few nights as a stopping point prior to our destination. The park was beautifully nestled in the trees really pleasant all adult park. The office staff guy was very knowledgeable about the RV sites, very accommodating to assisting me even after hours with my questions, and pleasant personality, he made me laugh with his sense of humor. I would definitely recommend you stopping by and getting to know the friendly staff, enjoy the quiet peaceful atmosphere.
