Lake Springs Recreation Area

Nice spot for a picnic, plenty ofta les, take a swim or even fish. Nice views and not too crowded.

Clean!! Great place to take the family!! Water is clear and clean too! Lots of room to find your own private little sand bar!!

Clean Beachs and restrooms. Numerous beaches to choose from, also shelters to rent. Good sized dock for fishing. 3 lane boat ramp with another dock as well. Its was $5.00 park entry fee. Numerous picnic tables with grills. It is pet friendly, but they have signs on the swimming beaches for no pets.

Great place to visit the lake and English some time with the family. Entry fee is $5 per car. Plenty of public Sandy beaches. Picnic tables and access to the lake. Highly recommend it.

Several beach like swimming areas on the lake. All have pick nick tables with grills. Some have porch swings. There are also a few playgrounds. It is $5 for the day but we’ll worth it.

Had a great time, very peaceful today.... The only thing that was missing was hand soap in the bathroom... Everything was nice and clean... Thank u for your great work on keeping the place nice and clean for us....

Really nice park. Plenty of picnic areas. Easy to unload the car of picnic stuff. Swim areas and lots of lake front views.

Bathrooms have running water but definitely feel "campground"

2021-12: This area is pretty nice, various areas for camping, hiking, picnic shelters (some with water/power hookups), boat ramps, parking for vehicles with boat trailers and singular vehicles, fishing, beach, look out tower, playground, fish cleaning station, and restroom facilities with plumbing. Some areas were closed off when I visited about a week ago, but the majority were open. The price was $3/vehicle at the time, although their website was showing it to $5.

There are some great spots for viewing stars as well! I look forward to returning to explore more of the area and trails.

Clean and well kept. TONS of picnic areas!

I loved it. It was a place where you can go hangout with family and friends, enjoy the water or great swim and more. It's great place to relax or destress after a week of work. I'm definitely going back.

Nice area to spend time at the lake. There is a boat ramp at this area. The dam is nearby. There are playgrounds. There multiple pavilions available to reserve. In the off season,soon after Labor Day till around Memorial Day, some of the areas are closed off. Deer run and the boat ramp are left open then. Usually no attend at entrance so you put cash in a deposit box. Bring a $5 bill!

We visited this wonderful picnic/swimming/boating area ... couldn't believe how warm the water was ... We did not hike, on this visit, but there are hiking trails. Well worth the $4.00 per car entrance fee. Not to self: next time take sunscreen for Jos!! He glowed for couple days ;-)

Love going to this recreation area to launch the boat. Plenty of parking, well kept and usually a sandbar on the bank if the water isn't to high, which is good for me because I'm usually launching alone and its easier than tying to the dock. It is also right on the biggest part of the lake near the damn which gives you the option to run in multiple directions.

The play areas are nice as well and plenty of room to pull the boat up and beach it while you play nearby. The only drawback would be that in certain areas, the sand on the bank feels more like rock. However, that isn't a big enough drawback for a lower rating.

Nice area for day use, and easy to use boat ramp.

Beautiful area well maintained. Had a wonderful time. Play set for children to play on and lots of grilling areas. Beach area was really nice.

Has many different areas to set up and explore. Had trails and picnic areas as well as many swimming spots.
